About the role
We’re seeking a senior media and PR manager (fundraising and brand) to join our talented and ambitious media and PR team at an exciting time of growth for the charity.
As part of our 2025-2030 organisational strategy, we have ambitious plans to increase awareness, understanding, trust and engagement, to support the impact we can have for people affected by breast cancer and this role will play a key part in helping realise these ambitions.
You’ll lead all media and PR activity around Breast Cancer Now’s fundraising and brand marketing, developing and leading delivery of bold and ambitious annual media strategies for these areas that support the charity to supercharge progress for anyone affected by breast cancer. You’ll ensure all plans are tightly aligned to the charity’s strategic ambitions and integrated across owned, earned, shared and paid channels for consistency and greatest impact.
You’ll build media profile that positions Breast Cancer Now as determined leaders and as the ‘charity partner of choice’, raising awareness, engagement and support among actual and potential supporters across our fundraising activity, from our wide range of fundraising challenge events and flagship campaigns, to driving excellent results for corporate partnerships around shared values and targets in a way that makes us an aspirational charity to partner with.
Leading media and PR for our brand marketing activity, you’ll work closely with the brand marketing team and have a unique opportunity to work closely with our world/industry leading brand marketing agency to provide counsel and support the shaping of creative media and PR activity that best amplifies the charity’s brand across the year. Key to this role is ensuring relevant internal stakeholders are brought in where appropriate.
You’ll also play a key part in supporting the day-to-day leadership of the wider media and PR team.
About you
Excellent at building and nurturing impactful relationships both internally and externally at all levels, you’ll be an effective negotiator with the ability to balance complex and sensitive needs across stakeholders (including corporate partners, agencies, fundraisers, and journalists) to secure media profile that cuts through and resonates with key audiences. You’ll also be a sensitive in your interactions with people affected by breast cancer who support our work.
Drawing on strong experience of working in health communications, and media/PR relations environments, you’ll digest and translate complex health information and create compelling copy at pace for media. With an instinctive news sense you’ll identify and be quick to seize proactive and reactive opportunities to secure impactful media profile.
A creative thinker, you’ll bring fresh ideas and bold thinking to help elevate the charity’s brand, cutting through the media noise with smart, stand-out storytelling. You’ll be agile in feeding into and delivering campaign ideas that make an impact.
A natural planner with a strategic mindset, you’ll work closely with colleagues to forward plan and consider the bigger picture while ensuring tight alignment and consistency across all communications output. Your ability to prioritise multiple and complex projects and handle conflicting demands and tight deadlines will also be key to the success of your team.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.
The salary range is: £47,000 and £52,000 per annum

Job Title: Senior Brand and Campaigns Manager
Reporting to: Head of Brand & Marketing
Salary: £50,000
Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Location: London and Hybrid, with weekly visits to our sites across London (mainly to Old Street)

Purpose of the Job
Focusing on building and maintaining the charity brand identity, through execution of marketing initiatives that grow brand engagement, understanding and participation. Leading integrated campaigns and identifying marketing activities that meet strategic objectives and income targets. Ensuring that marketing plans are effective in reaching multiple target audiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your normal duties and responsibilities will be set out in your job description. However, the charity may require you to perform other duties from time to time.
• Lead the development and implementation of and brand and campaign activities across the full mix of marketing channels, appropriate to the target audience
• Manage and develop two direct reports, and a team of 6
• Responsibility for the charity brand guidelines for visual identity, messaging, and tone, to ensure consistency across the charity and marketing materials
• Maintenance and optimisation of the brand ambassador programme across the charity, ensuring engagement, understanding and accurate adoption of brand material
• Supporting the integrated strategy and planning of the annual marketing calendar to maximise and prioritise opportunities across multiple channels and audiences
• Lead the major fundraising and event campaigns, working alongside stakeholders to ensure campaigns meet income targets
• Engagement and collaboration with network partners nationwide to support their marketing needs, with communications and toolkits
• In collaboration with the Head of Volunteering, advise and deliver activities that support the acquisition, engagement and retention of volunteers
• Creation of clear briefs that support the management of external creative agencies and/or inhouse designers, to ensure assets and materials are compelling and on brand
• Work hand in hand with Senior Digital Marketing Manager to create cohesive marketing plans that deliver results through applied learnings
• Measure and report on campaign performance using analytic tools and processes that provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimisation of marketing activity
• Manage campaign budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximise return on investment
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. Or significant experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector
- Proven experience of working in the charity sector on brand, fundraising and marketing campaigns, with a strong understanding of marketing tools and strategies
- Experience of leading a team within a brand and campaign role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and key stakeholders
- Experience in thinking strategically, to create marketing plans and briefs that deliver to organisational goals
- Campaign management experience, including management of multiple stakeholders, planning, budgeting, and evaluation with the ability of managing conflicting demands and needs of key stakeholders
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and make informed decisions based on campaign performance metrics
- Creative and innovative flair, with proven examples of successful and engaging campaigns and solutions

The Talent Set is delighted to be working with a leading children’s charity to recruit a Brand Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation at an important stage in the development of its refreshed brand. You will lead and support integrated brand marketing activity, help embed the brand across the organisation and work closely with fundraising teams to deliver audience-led campaigns that build awareness, strengthen the charity’s reputation and support fundraising outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the planning, delivery and evaluation of integrated brand marketing campaigns and activity.
- Manage projects from initial briefing through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure campaigns are rooted in audience insight and represent the charity’s brand strategy and identity effectively.
- Work closely with fundraising teams to develop integrated, audience-led and brand-building campaigns.
- Champion the brand internally and help teams understand how it should be applied across communications, campaigns and partner activity.
- Support the continued implementation and embedding of the refreshed brand across the organisation.
- Develop ways to track and measure brand performance, using data and research to produce actionable insights.
- Monitor campaign and brand KPIs, making recommendations to improve future activity.
- Lead business-critical projects involving complex stakeholder groups and support collaborative decision-making.
- Plan and manage the internal brand communications calendar.
- Identify opportunities to build the charity’s brand and lead on bringing these ideas to life.
- Champion the organisation’s audience segmentation and commission research to deepen its understanding of key audiences.
- Manage relationships with creative, research and media planning agencies.
- Monitor competitor activity and wider brand trends, sharing relevant insights and ideas with colleagues.
- Oversee the charity’s awards calendar and manage award submissions.
- Share responsibility for managing the Brand Marketing team’s budget.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong experience of brand strategy and brand management, including implementing brand guidelines.
- Experience of leading successful marketing campaigns, from planning and audience targeting through to measurement and evaluation.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and budgets.
- Confidence managing and influencing senior stakeholders across complex projects.
- Experience of working with creative, research and media planning agencies.
- Experience of leading or commissioning research and turning findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong digital and data-analysis skills, with the ability to use data to improve brand and marketing performance.
- Experience within fundraising, marketing or the wider not-for-profit sector.
- A creative and audience-focused approach, with the ability to identify new opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting to stakeholders.
- Experience within the UK health sector and a relevant marketing qualification would be advantageous.
