Job description

Wirral Mencap is looking for an exceptional individual to cover Maternity Leave for our Open Access Programmes Coordinator role.

If you are a dynamic individual with a passion for supporting people with a learning disability to have a more independent and higher quality of life, then we want to hear from you.

The role involves delivering and coordinating a range of learning programmes for adults with a learning disability; supporting and developing our in-house volunteers; and developing and overseeing our other open access programmes - including our social drop-ins, health club, and buddying scheme.

It is essential that you have a positive, can-do attitude, as well as the motivation to drive these projects forward during a relatively short period of time.

Wirral Mencap can offer a positive, dynamic work environment, with the opportunity to lead on a project that has a tangible and positive impact on the lives of people with a learning disability in Wirral.

If you think you have the right character for this post, then we would love to hear from you. You can either call the office for an informal chat, or submit an application right away.

Please apply by submitting your CV and a covering letter explaining why you wish to apply for the post, and why you think you are a suitable candidate (maximum two sides of A4 please).
