Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the planning, delivery and optimisation of Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s digital marketing activity across key channels, reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager.
This is a hands-on digital role focused on day-to-day delivery, advertising and optimisation across the charity’s digital platforms. The Digital Marketing Officer will play a key role in ensuring digital advertising channels are engaging and effective in supporting fundraising, brand awareness and supporter engagement.
The role works closely with colleagues across Marketing, Fundraising and Communications, and supports the delivery of digital activity set by the Marketing & Communications Manager.
Main Duties/Tasks
Digital Duties:
Content Creation, Management, and Campaign Support
- Creating, editing, and publishing content across the charity’s digital channels (website, email, and ad channels) in conjunction with the Content Creation Officer and Marketing Officers.
- Managing day-to-day updates to the charity websites using the CMS, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and aligned to brand guidelines. Maintain high standards of brand identity across all digital touch points.
- Building and sending email communications using the charity’s email platform, supporting segmentation, stewardship and supporter journeys.
- Supporting the delivery of integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns through digital channels.
- Adapting digital copy for different audiences and platforms, including web pages, email campaigns and digital appeals.
Digital Marketing Optimization, Reporting, and Budget Support
- Optimising and supporting budget monitoring for AI Search, Paid Search, SEO, and Google Grant campaigns.
- Monitoring and reporting on digital performance using analytics and platform insights, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and effectiveness.
- Supporting paid digital fundraising activity by preparing and advising on content, assets, and copy, and assisting with reporting and optimisation under the direction of the Marketing & Communications Manager.
Brand Management, Compliance, and Collaboration
- Ensuring all digital content and activity complies with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, GDPR, and relevant regulations.
- Scheduling and managing organic content in line with agreed plans, adapting content where needed for different channels, working with Marketing Officers to ensure a consistent brand presence.
- Working with internal colleagues and external suppliers or agencies, where required, to support digital delivery.
- Supporting the Marketing & Communications Manager to maintain organised digital systems, content libraries, and workflows.
Other Duties:
- Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.

Kineara is looking for an experienced Communications Manager who can grow our fundraising potential and engage key stakeholders across the sector, while shaping and delivering communications and outreach campaigns that demonstrate our social value proposition and grow our support base. They will play a key role in helping Kineara grow our communications channels, increase audience engagement, expand our fundraising potential through data-driven campaigns and powerful storytelling; and build strategic relationships with existing and potential funders.
You will work closely with project managers and the Senior Leadership Team to shape communications around our key delivery areas including identifying how support services can reduce barriers to secure housing, work and school; prevent evictions and homelessness; and improve health and wellbeing of people facing challenges. You’ll use this understanding and data to shape impact storytelling and communications with existing and new stakeholders.
You will feel real ownership over your work and need to be self-starting, flexible and hungry to grow within an already impactful charity with a strong social mission and vision. You will be keen to understand how our work makes a difference to people and use our impact to demonstrate our social value.This role crosscuts a range of key specialisations, so you may have experience working in communications and be keen to widen your skillset; you may have a background in impact evaluation, you may have experience in curating digital content for charities; or you may have worked in fundraising or development for a non-profit. Key Responsibilities
Communications & PR
- Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s presence across its wide audiences and expand its fundraising potential
- Manage digital content strategy for Kineara, including producing short from video content, promotional videos, infographics, interviews, thought leadership, impact storytelling, case studies etc. to grow Kineara’s digital and social media footprint
- Work collaboratively with practitioners and the housing projects manager to regularly develop and publish information sheets, resources and content on Kineara’s website
- Plan and manage campaigns and petitions that influence policy and shape key decisions affecting our client group
- Ensure consistent implementation of Kineara’s brand messaging across all organisational engagements, campaigns, and materials, in alignment with Kineara’s identity, mission, vision, and core values.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to proactively promote Kineara’s work, including identifying relevant media opportunities, pitching compelling stories, responding to media inquiries

Fundraising
- Develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders providing funding to charities, including in the third sector, public sector, and the business sector, to raise awareness and promote our work

- Manage and administer online fundraising platforms, and develop accessible, persuasive campaigns for public donations.
Impact
- Work closely with Operations Manager and practitioners to embed outcomes, utilise and optimise frameworks for monitoring and evaluate Kineara’s projects; and produce yearly evaluations and Impact Report of Kineara’s services
- Utilise CRM software such as Advice Pro to generate data-driven impact analysis and develop evidence-based communications materials for donors, funders and stakeholders
- Use learning from impact analysis to share with team and deliver impact-driven communications and to share our social value to funders and other stakeholders.
Business

Breaking barriers to secure housing, education and employment
As a local grant maker, Young Camden Foundation's grants processes and operations are key to our success. This role will suit an adaptable and organised team player, who is up for a challenge and keen to learn.
You will lead and develop YCF’s significant grant-giving programmes, organising and improving the grants process, keeping donors in the loop, and communicating the impact of the small grants programmes, and coordinating support from the team to ensure this work is well supported. In this role you will oversee both YCF’s small grants programmes to members, and also YCF’s delivery of the Holiday Activities & Food Programme, which together amount to around £900,000 per year in grants out to Camden’s youth sector.
You will lead on YCF’s operations, including clerking to the Board of Trustees, ensuring timely applications and reporting to funders, and overseeing all aspects of YCF’s operations. You will be supported by our Operations & Administrations Apprentice. You will support the CEO across YCF’s partnerships, cultivating our pipeline of funders, including Trusts & Foundations and corporate donors, and spotting and supporting opportunities wherever you can.
As a natural team player working in a small team, you will spot opportunities to support YCF’s membership (especially regarding grants) and the other functions of YCF’s work. As a place based organisation, you will ensure you are known in the local community, and amongst our key stakeholders, including grassroots VCS partners, Camden Council, and our key funders.
Along with the CEO and the Head of Membership & Impact, you will support YCF’s partnerships, including with business neighbours, spotting opportunities to amplify YCF’s work. In this important and dynamic role you will lead on both, working closely with the CEO to also support fundraising and partnerships.
Main Purpose of the Role
Grants management:
· Grants management: You will direct and lead the YCF small grants programmes (including Small & Mighty Fund, Holiday Opportunities Fund and Heads Up Mental Health Fund, of around £150,000 p.a.), including leading on design and guidelines, engagement with YCF’s grants committee structures, and reporting back to Trustees and funders. You will lead on grants decisions processes and communications, as part of YCF’s membership offer. You will oversee all due diligence processes as part of YCF’s grant giving offer, and ensure smooth reporting cycles with grantees
· Strategic oversight of HAF: Strategic leadership of the Camden HAF programme, overseeing the HAF Programme Manager in the stewardship of this DfE programme, and retaining oversight of key deliverables, together with the Heads of Children’s Commissioning at Camden Council
Fundraising and reporting:
· Fundraising: You will maintain our pipeline of supporters, including of our grants rounds, and lead reporting for YCF’s grants and core funding to funders, supported by the team. You will ensure timely funding applications submissions Together with the Head of Membership & Impact, you will support the CEO in all fundraising for YCF and our programmes, including identifying funding and partnership opportunities, drafting bids and pitches, and so on.
· Reporting: You will oversee and deliver timely reporting across YCF’s funders. You will manage and be supported by the Operations Apprentice to ensure smooth and timely processes. You will ensure YCF’s monitoring and evaluation frameworks are fit for purpose. You will work with the rest of the team to ensure this function is properly and efficiently supported, and will proactively identify ways to more efficiently record and report on information to funders, including effective use of our CRM.
Operations and governance:
· Operational leadership: You will be responsible for YCF’s operational running as an organisation, ensuring our processes are smooth and fit for purpose. In practice, this may include supporting the CEO in operational and strategic planning, supporting budget oversight (and leading in the areas of grants). Supported by the Operations Apprentice, you will oversee YCF’s HR processes for onboarding, recruitment and so on.
· Governance: You will support YCF’s governance processes, due diligence and compliance, ensuring YCF is compliant with our charitable obligations, and ensure our policies are up to date and we are compliant with them.
· Board minute taking: You will take minutes of YCF’s Board meetings, and ensure actions are followed up with, and oversee the Operations Apprentice in the setting up of meetings and logistics. You will support the CEO and Chair with the preparation of papers, as needed.
Management and leadership
· Management: You will manage two important roles for YCF, modelling leadership at YCF, alongside the CEO and the Head of Membership & Impact

Primary location of role
This role is primarily based in our Glasgow office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London or Sheffield offices.

Role Purpose
The Programme Funding Assistant has four core functions:
- Provide administrative support across a portfolio of income generation streams - Assist in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships and fundraising relationships, support the development of funding applications, managing donor requirements, reporting to donors, and analysing data.

Main Responsabilities
Will include, but are not limited to:
1. Grant and Donor Administration (50%)
- Coordination of a portfolio of 5 and 6-figure donors or grantors, with oversight and support from the CEO, securing repeat donations and increasing support where possible
- Administration of existing grants, ensuring that terms are adhered to and reporting processes are managed effectively
- Administration of donor communications
- Support the development of proposals in line with the objectives and guidelines of the prospective grantor outlining why funding is needed, how the project will positively impact beneficiaries, and how the funds will be allocated and managed throughout the project
- Prospecting and researching all donor types (including major donors, corporates, and trusts and foundations) that have aligned priorities
- Lead the donor engagement calendar, including drafting communications and touch points to key donors throughout the year
2. Granting (20%)
- Supporting the drafting and processing of all contracts at the annual granting phase
- Coordinating communications to grantee organisations
- Administering the grantee reporting process
- Managing the collation of partner reports and support the drafting the Annual Impact report for the programme
3.Programmes (Illicit Trade, Education, and Responsible Business) (20%)
- Undertake research across programme workstreams
- Support in the organisation and coordination of events both in the UK and internationally, this could include venue booking, guestlist coordination and liaising with vendors
- Monitor news reports related to forced labour in business supply chains and other programme areas
4. General administration and management of the CRM (10%)
- Coordinate meetings and managing the team and CEO calendar
- Report internally on portfolio of relationships and prospects from the CRM, keeping the CRM and internal information management systems updated with records, contact, confidence levels and forecasted donations.

- Growing and managing a pipeline of prospective donors and fundholders
- Representing Kent Community Foundation across networks, events and professional forums
- Developing proposals and conversations that lead to new charitable funds, legacy pledges, and long-term partnerships
- Contributing to the strategic leadership of the Foundation’s development work
We are looking for someone who enjoys connecting people with purpose and who is motivated by the opportunity to grow philanthropy locally.
You might currently work in philanthropy, partnership development, professional adviser engagement, or business development.
We would also welcome applications from candidates working in professional services, financial services or other relationship-led roles who are interested in applying their skills to growing local philanthropy. We are looking for someone who is:
- A confident relationship builder and natural networker
- Strategic and proactive in developing opportunities
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and philanthropists
- Motivated by supporting communities across Kent and Medway

Location
Our office is based in Smeeth near Ashford, with hybrid working available. The role will involve meetings and events across Kent and Medway.
