We Are Survivors, are a survivor focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual harms across Greater Manchester providing access to quality assured support. Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

The Admin Co-Ordinator plays a vital role in ensuring our Community Services run smoothly, allowing survivors and their loved ones to receive timely and vital support. You’ll help manage the process of accurately recording client data from the point of referral to closure, assist with audits, and support general facilities and operations management. You’ll also occasionally provide admin support to our prison-based programmes, facilitating consistent standards across all areas of our work. Through this work, you will directly advance our mission to break the silence and support healing for men affected by sexual harms. You’ll work closely with the Information & Data Manager and Senior Operations: Data Analyst and, as needed, the Executive Leadership Team, modelling our values of Transparency, Integrity, Understanding and Responsiveness in everything you do.
About You
We Are Survivors are looking for an organized and proactive individual who takes pride in accuracy and delivery. You can juggle priorities, communicate clearly both written and orally, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information. You’re confident using the Microsoft Office Package. Specifically, Outlook, Word and Excel. You should ideally be comfortable working with databases to manage client information and assist with regular audits. You bring empathy and professionalism, and you live our values of Transparency, Integrity, Understanding and Responsiveness, helping create safe, inclusive spaces for clients and colleagues. Experience with minute-taking, facilities management, and working in confidential or VCSE settings is a bonus, as is an understanding of issues relating to male sexual harms.

About the role
As a Community Fundraiser for Shelter, you will play an integral role in driving our community fundraising strategy across Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester region. You will engage with a diverse range of audiences, including individuals, local businesses, schools, volunteers, and community groups, to build meaningful relationships and raise vital funds to support Shelter’s mission. Your responsibilities will include managing fundraising events, overseeing budgets, and identifying new opportunities to grow our supporter base. You’ll be at the heart of our efforts to inspire long-term engagement with Shelter’s work and make a lasting impact. You will also work in collaboration with colleagues from across Shelter, including local teams, shops, and services, to ensure that community fundraising goals are aligned with Shelter’s broader objectives.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience of community fundraising and engagement who possesses the skills to build good, meaningful relationships and have strong communication skills to be able to motivate and inspire existing and new supporters. You will need to be able to take a proactive approach to managing budgets and events in your role as community fundraiser and above all, you will also have a passion for social justice and share Shelter’s belief that everyone has the right to a safe home.

About the team
This exciting opportunity sits within Shelter’s Community and Events team which is a part of the Income Generation directorate. Community & Events is made up of our Community Fundraising, Supporter Experience, Digital Fundraising & Marketing and Mass Participation teams, across the team we look after a wide range of fundraising activities encouraging supporters to raise money and providing them with the support to do so.
In this role, you will report to the Senior Community Fundraising Area Manager for Northern England, who will provide guidance, coaching, and support to help you thrive in your role. You’ll be working as part of the Northern England Community Fundraising team, alongside colleagues based in Yorkshire, Newcastle, and Merseyside.

We’re seeking an exceptional leader with a track record of senior leadership in income-growth, strategic marketing and communications, sales, or supporter engagement.
Position: Executive Director, Giving, Volunteering and Voice
