We're recruiting a New Partnerships Manager to be responsible for proactively identifying, prospecting, and cultivating leads in key sectors to secure new 5-6 figure, multi-year corporate partnerships with local and national businesses.
What does this role do?
As New Partnerships Manager, you'll:
- develop a prospect pipeline to raise a personal income target which contributes to an overall team target,
- support the Senior New Partnerships Manager in the identification and cultivation of new corporate partnerships, accessing a range of income streams and budget holders,
- support senior team members in attending meetings with potential corporate partners, including preparing relevant briefs in advance,
- prepare relevant and creative applications and proposals for pitches for potential corporate partners,
- work closely with the Corporate Partnerships Team to ensure the transition between new business and account management is seamless for both Dogs Trust and the new partner.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the business performance of the home alongside the Registered Manager, delivering agreed income, occupancy, cost and surplus targets
- Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness and hospitality through effective leadership of housekeeping, catering and maintenance teams

You will ensure that every supporter who chooses to give in memory of a loved one, or through a gift in their Will, is treated with the utmost kindness, dignity, and respect. Stewardship will be at the heart of everything you do, ensuring supporters feel valued and connected to the impact of their generosity.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Marketing, you will work closely with Fundraising Managers and colleagues across the organisation to ensure plans are aligned, insight-led, and supporter-focused. You will champion and celebrate legacy and in memory giving both internally and externally, helping to raise awareness of the vital role these gifts play in enabling hospice care across Lincolnshire.
You will be accountable for an income target across Legacy and In Memory giving. This will involve understanding the market in which you operate, including the motivations and drivers behind this type of support, and using insight to inform strategy, campaigns, and stewardship activity.
You will be confident in working with senior managers, directors, and trustees, as well as building strong external relationships with solicitors, Will writers, and professional advisers. Through these partnerships, you will help secure long-term, sustainable funding and ensure St Barnabas Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care to people living with life-limiting and terminal illness throughout Lincolnshire.

The Role
As Finance & Business Operations Director, you will lead VAST’s financial and operational strategy, ensuring robust financial management, effective HR and IT systems, and compliance with Health & Safety. You will oversee the efficient running and management of The Dudson Centre (a Grade II listed building), act as Company Secretary, and serve as the organisation’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
This is a senior leadership role, contributing to strategic planning and organisational development while supporting VAST’s day-to-day delivery. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who combines financial expertise with operational leadership and a commitment to community impact.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc)
Significant experience in financial management and business operations in the VCSE sector. - Strong leadership and strategic planning skills
Knowledge of charity finance, governance, and compliance. - Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings/weekends.

Role Purpose
To lead on finance, governance and resources at SMT, providing senior insight on strategy and development. This role requires initiative, flexibility, a willingness to support colleagues across the organization, and strong organisational and communication skills, including board reporting, leadership on finance reporting to the SMT and board with the ability to manage complex, detailed analysis. Key Responsibilities
Finance Management: Manage income against expenditure with the CEO and HOA. Prepare management reports, budgets and forecasts, annual accounts and manage the audit and trustee annual report process. Provide strategic insight to the SMT on finance.
Governance and compliance: Manage the preparation of agendas, minutes, actions, board meetings, governance calendar and regulatory submissions, also ensuring that LSA obligations are met through scheduling review and approval by trustees on an annual basis.
Support systems Management: Oversee support to day-to-day operations, ensuring the team have the equipment and operating systems necessary to meet all obligations and objectives.
Management: manage the Executive Assistant and Finance Officer.
Manage external contracts: Working with the CEO and HOA, ensure all contracts are fit for purpose and are good value for money and are delivering agreed outputs.
IT and phone systems: Manage the provision of IT services and our internal systems, building effective relationships with providers and ensuring continued and effective operations are available to the team.
SMT strategy: Providing strategic insight to the SMT on potential risks and opportunities for development across all areas of the role.
HR: Manage all HR functions including grievances, wellbeing, disciplinary, recruitment and onboarding. Working with the CEO to manage consultations with the union. Monitor and report to SMT and board on these areas.
Communication: Foster effective communication with colleagues and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and collaboration and accountability.
Flexibility and Support: Demonstrate flexibility, ownership and collaboration to ensure smooth service delivery across the organisation.
Any other relevant administrative and support duties required to ensure the smooth running of the bureau.

As Interim Head of Business Development and Funding Partnerships, you’ll provide strategic leadership across business development, donor engagement, and organisational funding processes. The organisation has recently completed extensive research into donor alignment, new opportunities, and optimal engagement strategies. This role will play a central part in operationalising that insight and working with the team to identify priorities and maximise the value of the research.
You will also:
- Strengthen the BD function by improving roles, processes, and systems, and aligning the team towards new areas of institutional funding.
- Provide senior‑level insight during a period of funding uncertainty, including pipeline analysis and donor intelligence.
- Lead and support high‑value donor engagement and relationship‑building.
- Guide the organisation in adapting structures and processes to engage a wider range of donors.
- Oversee high‑quality proposal development and competitive positioning.
- Line manage and mentor a team of partnerships professionals.
About You
You bring extensive experience in institutional funding (ideally beyond FCDO and DFID), donor engagement, and leading BD functions within an international, governance, or development context. You are strategic, team orientated, and comfortable steering organisations through change.
You can demonstrate:
- An extensive track record of strengthening BD operations, including redesigning roles, improving internal processes, and developing systems that support high‑quality funding pipelines.
- The ability to provide strategic insight and forecasting to senior leadership, particularly around pipeline scenarios, donor intelligence, and risk.
- Experience shaping organisational offers and value propositions to meet varying donor expectations, compliance requirements, and cost‑recovery rules.
- (Desirable but not essential) Experience positioning an organisation for new and emerging institutional donors, including those with lower overhead/NPAC thresholds.
