Responsibilities of our Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer:
- The successful candidate will lead the development of new, long-term corporate partnerships, supporting the implementation of the corporate partnerships fundraising plan and increasing sustainable net income for Cats Protection.
- The Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer will be pivotal in driving new income for the charity, working as one with teams across the charity to identify new opportunities for potential corporate funding support.
About the Corporate Partnerships team:
- We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate.
- The corporate partnerships team is split between new business and account management, made up of driven, passionate and dynamic corporate fundraisers
- We currently have a team of one full time Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer and a Corporate Partnerships Development Manager, in addition to a Lead Corporate Partnerships Manager who oversees the entire corporate partnerships team
- You will be managed by the Corporate Partnerships Development Manager, and you will work alongside another Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to achieve a joint team target
What we are looking for in our Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer:
- Significant corporate partnership fundraising experience generating new business within a charity setting
- Extensive experience of developing strong relationships with supporters/ clients/colleagues
- Experience of presenting business proposals in person and via conference call
- Experience of managing commercial participators agreements, negotiating updates and changes where necessary
- Excellent networking skills
- Familiar with the CIOF codes of practice relating to corporate partnership fundraising

Purpose of the post
The Development and Partnerships Officer will support the stewardship of partnerships and the delivery of partnership campaigns that generate income, reach and impact for the organisation. More about the role
This is a varied and vibrant position where no two days are quite the same. You will work closely with the Community & Events Manager to develop and bring to life regional community fundraising plans that truly resonate with local people across the South of England and Wales. A major part of your focus will be managing and stimulating growth in the areas surrounding our rehoming centres, retail shops and vet hospitals. You will be championing our classic fundraising campaigns, such as Paws for Tea, while also spotting new opportunities to increase income and supporting our incredible "Do it Yourself" fundraisers to help them reach their full potential.
Beyond the numbers, this role is about relationships. You will be building and nurturing volunteer networks, recruiting new faces, and developing fundraising groups that can respond quickly to new opportunities. You will also identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with local businesses and managing those corporate relationships. Whether you are supporting local events, encouraging fundraisers to get involved through internal communications, or ensuring our donors feel valued through careful stewardship, you will be key to our growth. We mobilise the PhD community to support students from less advantaged backgrounds to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. We work with students who, because of their family income, parental history or the postcode they live in, are at risk of missing out on the life-changing opportunities linked to higher education.
We are excited to be recruiting a School Partnerships Officer to join the School Partnerships Team.
Your job will be to raise awareness of our programmes and transform expressions of interest into school partnerships. If you are passionate about communicating with different audiences, quickly building relationships, and meeting ambitious targets that have a huge social impact, this could be the perfect role for you.
This role will require you to become an expert on our programmes so that you can confidently discuss their features and benefits with key stakeholders. You will be comfortable in winning the confidence of head teachers and senior school leaders of prospective schools who have expressed an interest in partnering with us. This isn’t just about administering a process, it’s about understanding the needs of individual schools and how our programmes can support their priorities. You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure. Alongside meeting with schools and securing partnerships, you will be involved with generating interest in our programmes, via marketing campaigns and network building. You will also work to improve the efficiency of our internal systems, so teachers have the best experience communicating with us.
The role will report to the Director of School Partnerships. It can be based at either of our Brilliant Club offices, located in London and Leeds.
About you
The role will best suit someone who has:
- Experience of partnership building or selling a programme, product or service to schools, trusts or other education sector stakeholders
- Resilience, tenacity and target-driven motivation in a challenging marketplace
- A desire to positively impact social justice via charity sales
- Knowledge of UK education system - school, college and/or university sector
- Experience of using CRM systems, such as Salesforce

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Development Research Officer to join our Development Team, providing key support within a small fundraising team of 9. It’s a particularly exciting time to join, as we are embarking on an ambitious 125th Anniversary Campaign in 2027.
This role is crucial in enabling the Academy to achieve its ambitious fundraising targets for our next campaign. The Development Research Officer will identify potential new funders who have the capacity and affinity to support the British Academy, as well as managing qualified prospects as they move through the prospect pipeline. You will also provide key intelligence on prospects and donors for meeting briefings and events, as well as due diligence research on potential donors to the Academy.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic insights on prospects and donors for the variety of audiences that we work with. You will enjoy gathering and analysing information from a variety of sources, make connections between people and organisations, and be creative in how to present information and data. Alongside the research role, you will also provide administrative support for the internal and external activities of the Development Team.
You will ideally have some experience of research in a fundraising environment, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to work independently and look proactively for opportunities as well as working responsively to requests and deadlines. You will be confident using the Microsoft Office 365 suite and have experience using Salesforce or another CRM to manage your workflows.
