STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention efforts disrupt the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.

The Finance & HR Manager will sit within the Development Team to support the smooth and efficient operation of the charity. This role will assist in managing financial processes and lead on recruitment, HR policies, and people operations — helping to maintain a transparent, inclusive, and positive working environment.

This position is ideal for someone seeking part-time work who holds either a finance assistant qualification or an accountancy qualification. Candidates with a finance assistant background will work closely with the finance department of our parent organisation, Oasis, to manage accounts and financial operations. Those with full accountancy qualifications may take direct ownership of financial oversight.

Finance

· Support the Operations Officer to reconcile transactions, issue invoices, process payments, and file quarterly Gift Aid claims.

· Oversee and manage Xero, ensuring all transactions are accurately coded and financial reporting is transparent and up to date.

· Prepare regular cash flow statements, budgets, and financial position reports for the Senior Leadership Team to support data-driven decision-making.

· Actively monitor income and expenditure, making recommendations to ensure financial sustainability and strategic use of resources.

· Manage STOP THE TRAFFIK’s bank accounts, ensuring the safe handling and ethical investment of reserves.

· Produce quarterly financial papers for the Board of Trustees and lead on the annual audit process, preparing all necessary documentation for external auditors.

· Liaise with the Oasis finance department (where relevant) to ensure smooth coordination of accounting processes and compliance with organisational standards.

Human Resources & Data Protection

· Lead the annual review of all organisational policies, ensuring they reflect current legislation and best practice, with support from the Operations Officer.

· Oversee recruitment processes, supporting hiring managers to ensure equitable, transparent, and inclusive hiring practices.

· Coordinate quarterly team surveys, analyse feedback, and make recommendations to strengthen workplace culture and wellbeing.

· Support the Executive Team in delivering STOP THE TRAFFIK’s people strategy, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing working environment.

· Serve as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), getting pro-bono advice from our network where needed for support.

Pro-bono Legal Coordination

· Manage network of pro-bono legal advisors to oversee all organisational contracts with partners, ensuring they align with key terms agreed with Senior Leadership and our Risk Committee, supported by the Director of Development.

· Responsible for managing our internal legal sign-off process, and ensuring all legal requests are managed in an accurate and timely manner.

Note that while this is a broad list, you will be supported by our parent company’s financial team who will continue to manage payroll and HR records.

Senior Grant Making Manager – 12 months fixed term contract

The Senior Grant Making Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of funding in our England Directorate and in particular our responsive funding in the London, South East and East Region.

Reporting to the Senior Head of Responsive Funding in the London, South East & East Region, you will play a key role in delivering our strategy, ‘It Starts with Community’, maximizing the impact of our funding across the region with a particular focus on London where you will work with others to develop our regional and London specific strategic direction, ensuring excellent management and oversight of day-to-day grant making and learning.

You will own key stakeholder relationships within London and play a lead role in developing the regions’ stakeholder engagement and relationship strategy. You will be a key representative of the National Lottery Community Fund in the region as part of the Regional Leadership Team, deputising for the Head of Region as necessary.

You will also be a key member of the England Leadership Team, maintaining strong relationships with colleagues across the England Directorate including other regional teams, key business partners as well as colleagues across The Fund.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading on funding strategy and delivery for London. Working to support the delivery of our Reaching Communities programme and the diversification of our funding portfolio to include partnerships work, more intentional grant making and our commitment to being more than a funder.
• Stakeholder Engagement across London and the region – To maximise our impact, to ensure a joined up collaborative approach and for learning and awareness raising, we need to work with others. You will hold, develop and maintain a strong network of external relationships.
• Leading, supporting and inspiring a team of 3 x Funding Managers (who you line manage) –providing support and overseeing the work of their teams (approx 20 staff), with a focus on delivery, values and maintaining wellbeing. You will also provide leadership to the full regional team.
• Leading through change and supporting the delivery of our new operating model and ways of working. This includes ensuring teams understand and adapt to change, that operating structures align and our processes and procedures are consistent across all of England responsive teams.
• Engagement locally and at an England and UK level. – You will liaise with and hold key relationships with other regional hubs and England funding teams as well as functions in Business Support, Knowledge and Learning and Communications, to ensure a joined up one Fund approach. You will also need to maintain solid relationships across a number of key Corporate functions including Finance, Legal, Audit, Service Design/GMS amongst others.

You will demonstrate an ability to work in an agile way, ensuring we are flexible and continue to improve in line with feedback and insights from customers and frontline staff.

We're looking for an Individual Giving Manager who will lead the charity’s individual giving programme during an exciting period of growth. You will deliver key activities aimed at building our profile, donor base and unrestricted income in line with our strategic objectives. This will be achieved through the delivery and strategic development of warm and cold cash acquisition, a face-to-face regular giving programme, effective retention strategies and initiatives that will build our contactable base of supporters. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations and Systems Manager to join our team. As Operations and Systems Manager, you will ensure SMK’s operations are well managed, and make sure that we have all the processes, technology and policies needed to operate effectively. We’re looking for someone to take initiative to improve things where needed and bring their experience from elsewhere to the team.   

The Operations and Systems Manager will work closely with the CEO, Board and staff team of 6, and hold the relationships with our external IT, Accounting and HR providers. You will also play a key role within the organisation in shaping culture and supporting staff to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities.

Flexible and Hybrid Working

Our office base is located in central London. You need to be in the office for a minimum of 1 day per week and further Team Days and Board Away Days. Travel and accommodation for working at our London office is at the job-holders own expense. Expenses incurred for SMK business outside London are covered by the charity.

We were delighted to be awarded £248,000 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to develop our £3.6m heritage project ‘St Richard’s 60:60 – celebrating our first 60 years and preparing for the next’. The project is to restore our iconic Modern building and celebrate the first 60 years of our church as a launchpad for the future.  We are now appointing a Project Manager, Activity Plan consultant and a Fundraising Manager to develop our proposals.  A Business Plan consultant and Evaluation consultant will be appointed in the New Year.

St Richard’s church was built in 1964 in the heart of a new housing estate alongside a new Primary School. It is an iconic building with a strong presence forming part of the Ham Riverside identity. It has many significant architectural and artistic features acknowledged by its Grade II listing and its timber hyperbolic paraboloid roof is one of the few remaining examples in the country. However the roof covering is failing, and the unique timber shell construction is rapidly deteriorating. The seriousness of this is evidenced by its inclusion on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register.  Our goal is to give our church a secure and sustainable future as a home for a thriving church and a welcoming space for community groups and activities.  Our Heritage Fund project will repair and restore the building and provide engagement opportunities bringing its heritage to life for visitors while meeting community needs.

As Project Manager you will oversee and manage the development phase of the ‘St Richard’s 60:60’ project and prepare for the next, delivery phase following our successful bid for Development Stage funding from the Heritage Fund, reporting to the Project Steering Group. You will be expected to provide effective leadership to both the internal and external project team, motivate, and develop skills and understanding. You will ensure the efficient financial management of the project budget and ensure adequate arrangements are in place to manage risk and bring any areas of concern to the attention of the Project Steering Group. You will establish effective and effecient communications between members of the team and external stakeholders and act as an advocate for the project.

Objective:

2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.

Aims:

• Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
• Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
• Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
• Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
• To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families

2wish Cymru and 2wish:

2wish has been established since 2012 and has grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.

We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under in Wales. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of the families, so they don't have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.

Context of role:

2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are an All-Wales charity providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage.

This role is subject to a DBS check.

Purpose of role:

This is exciting time to join the 2wish team as we continue to expand our services across England that will see us deepening our presence in England. We’re looking for someone who can seek out and build great partnerships, cultivate and manage large corporate donors whose values align with ours and help raise brand awareness. Someone who can proactively generate new and repeat business and enjoys networking and building relationships with both corporate sponsors and high net worth donors.

Main duties:

Team Leadership

• Line manage the Corporate Fundraiser and Events Coordinator, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.

Partnership Development

• Identify and secure strategic partnerships to grow annual and long-term income.
• Develop and implement innovative and creative approaches to overcome challenges in generating funding and building partnerships.
• Lead stewardship and engagement of corporate supporters, including creating tailored plans and activities to maintain strong relationships and encourage long-term support.

Strategic Growth & Awareness

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to develop and implement strategies to increase funding, raise brand awareness, and expand 2wish’s reach across Wales and England.
• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and target relevant leads.
• Plan and deliver tailored events and attend community and industry events to promote 2wish’s services, raise funds, and attract new audiences.
• Identify and recommend networking and speaking opportunities for the CEO and senior team to raise funds, increase awareness, and build strategic connections.
• Manage sponsorship opportunities to promote the charity’s mission and build new relationships.

Planning, Collaboration & Evaluation

• Work with the Head of Fundraising to set income targets, develop financial forecasts, and monitor progress.
• Manage budgets for partnerships activities, ensuring effective use of resources and achievement of fundraising goals.
• Analyse and report on the performance of business development initiatives, including partnerships and events, and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with teams across 2wish, including fundraising and marketing teams, to align partnership goals with the wider organisational strategy.
• Support the development of targeted campaigns in collaboration with fundraising and marketing teams to secure new partnerships.

What we do for you:

Salary: Starting salary of £32,000 per annum.

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Normal hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.

Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. Full details of the scheme will be provided to you once you are enrolled, including the minimum level of contributions that you will be required to make during your membership (current contributions - employer 3% and employee 5%).

Mileage: A fixed rate allowance is payable for agreed mileage undertaken on 2wish business in a private vehicle, over and above your usual journey to your workplace/s.

Business development & Partnership building

1. Identify funding opportunities by keeping abreast of the funding landscape, as well as trends within the international development and Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking sectors, assessing new market opportunities, and forming partnerships. Donor management

1. Represent Hope for Justice at external meetings with donors and consortium partners.

2. Lead on donor grant agreement/contract negotiations and compliance.
