About The Role

This role will support the growth, development, and delivery of our Bespoke events portfolio. You will be involved in multiple aspects of Bespoke events team projects, recruiting supporters, stewardship planning, creation and evaluation and maximising fundraising opportunities for the Society. Working alongside the Bespoke Events Officer and Bespoke Events Manager to meet both income and expenditure targets and contribute to the wider team’s goals and strategy.

Please note this is a fixed term contract for up to seven months.
 
About you

- Be enthusiastic, organised and target-driven.
- Experience in copyrighting, and building marketing or stewardship communications, and be comfortable taking ownership of a project area.
- Be able to give and receive feedback, prioritise your own workload and make decisions based on data or insight.
- Be keen problem solver, capable of working under their own initiative whilst collaborating with our colleagues across the Events Team. 
- Be comfortable managing smaller events on the day alongside other team members.
- Verbal and written communication skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and fundraisers.

- Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail as you will be supporting with our Events.
- Be a self-starter and incredibly motivated.

- Planning, organising and managing Memory Walk events with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success.

We are looking for a Sports Development Coordinator (Equity & Inclusion) to provide training, knowledge and hands-on support for club committees as well as supporting on the delivery of campaigns and events. The postholder will work closely with colleagues across the department and the wider university to develop and grow our inclusive and disability sport provision. 

 

About the role 

Since LRU started campaigning for rent controls in 2024, we’ve secured the support of MPs, trade unions and charities, organised large demonstrations and pushed the issue of rising rents up the political agenda.

The purpose of this role is to work alongside members and other union staff to take our campaigning for rent controls to the next level through a combination of protests, local organising, coalition building and targeting of power holders, landlords and corporations. 

How we work at LRU

You will be part of the LRU staff team alongside 12 other staff, who work with members to build the power of the union by organising, campaigning, training and supporting peer support and member solidarity actions.  We expect staff to uphold the union's values, and work together to implement collectively agreed strategies.  The staff team are accountable to the elected member Coordinating Group.

Job description

• Support members to organise ambitious and effective actions and protests in support of rent controls.

• Leading on specific projects and campaigns as part of the Cut the Rent campaign and other campaign priorities decided by LRU members.  For example, if the campaigns committee decides to target a particular developer or politician as part of the wider Cut the Rent campaign.

• Working with the Union Coordinator and members to implement and track progress on the overall Cut the Rent strategy.

• Implementing organising approaches to ensure that the Cut the Rent campaigns builds the active membership and power of the union.

• Working alongside the Union Coordinator to represent LRU in external meetings and events, and help to build LRU’s relationships with other organisations.  Supporting members to do this.

• Ensure meetings of the Campaigns Committee are effective and well run.

• Work alongside members and other other staff to ensure branches participate in the Cut the Rent campaign, and feed into strategy.

• Contribute to the collective activity of the Organising Team, including taking part in phone banking and outreach sessions and team meetings.

• As time allows, work alongside other members of the staff Organising Team to support members outside of branch areas to participate in the Cut the Rent campaign. 

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, but ambitious grassroots charity run by and for women seeking asylum. WAST has a proud track record of providing a safe space for women to come together in solidarity and campaign for justice in an increasingly hostile environment.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to play a key role in developing and delivering WAST’s women-led programmes. You will work closely with the staff team, management group (elected by members to define WAST’s priorities and organise activities), and our wider membership to ensure that projects reflect the needs and aspirations of the women who use WAST. WAST’s current priorities include delivering wellbeing activities (with a focus on trauma-informed approaches), running asylum information workshops, and strengthening our campaigning group. As Project Coordinator, you will help develop and manage initiatives that support these priorities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, collaborative, and passionate about supporting women seeking asylum to shape and lead the projects and initiatives they value. 

About WAST

Women Asylum Seekers Together (WAST) is a grassroots Manchester-based charity led by and for women who are seeking asylum and currently has around 170 members. WAST was founded in 2005 by one of WAST’s current board members, whilst fighting her own anti-deportation campaign, and became a constituted charity in 2014.

We provide a safe, supportive space where women can come together to build community, gain confidence, access peer support, and advocate for their rights. Women are at the sharp end of the ‘hostile environment’ with punitive government immigration policies and practice. WAST enables a process of empowerment through which women gain the confidence and strength to voice their experience and campaign for justice.

WAST is a place of hope and belonging with its core values of compassion, respect, inclusion and empowerment and its continuous development of its trauma informed peer support approach. WAST is proud of its pioneering work giving a voice to women seeking asylum and inspiring other women around the country to set up similar groups. WAST has been at the forefront of national campaigning against detention, has published three books and created two plays, giving voice to women’s experiences.

WAST runs weekly skill-building and wellbeing activities, a weekly drop-in session where women can access signposting and referrals to services, and a variety of external events throughout the year. Activities are identified and led by the WAST Management Group, elected by the membership and supported by WAST staff. WAST’s current priorities, as identified by the management group, include developing asylum information workshops, a range of wellbeing trauma informed activities, and advancing the campaign group.

About the Role

The Communications Coordinator contributes to the planning and delivery of all communications and digital activities for the South London Gallery. Working alongside the Head of Communications and Digital Communications Manager, the Communications Coordinator supports the implementation of the SLG’s communications strategy, reaching new audiences, creating engaging digital content, and enhancing visitor experience online and on site.

The role involves the full range of communication channels including print marketing, signage, press, digital, audio-visual interpretation and social media to profile the SLG’s programme, Communities and Learning activities, bookshop and café. The Communications Coordinator also provides administrative support and assists at special events as necessary.

The Opportunity   

You’ll work closely with the Senior HR Officer to ensure the smooth running of the charity’s HR processes, playing a key role in providing largely administrative support for all aspects of the employee life cycle for the charity. 
 

From posting job adverts and preparing employment contracts to conducting pre-employment checks and completing leaving processes, you will ensure that our HR systems, processes and procedures are maintained appropriately. 

1. General HR  

• Work with the Senior HR Officer to provide HR administration for all aspects of the employee life-cycle from preparing employment contracts and collecting and assessing references, to completing leaving processes and reviewing exit questionnaires  
• Maintain the accuracy of the data across all our platforms; create and amend any relevant HR documents. 
• Administrative support for special HR projects, these might include initiatives like increasing retention, personal development or our staff rewards package. 
• Track and maintain DBS/PVG renewals as the organisation’s criminal records’ check sponsor 

2. Recruitment

• Manage our recruitment platform and training hiring managers on how to use it.  
• Coordinate with staff teams to manage the job requisition to job advertising process; hold them accountable for ensuring that job adverts are posted on the more appropriate/relevant websites, within budget and in good time.  
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with relevant managers 
• Ensure applicants receive prompt and sufficient communications regarding their progress/ the outcome of their applicant journey. 

3. Onboarding, Induction & Separation    

• Process the onboarding of new starters including overseeing collation of required documents, including DBS/PVG checks, right to work checks, reasonable adjustments forms, working from home risk assessments, references and preparing contracts.  
• Carry out DBS renewals for staff, be a port of call with the rest of the safeguarding team for concerns. 
• Coordinate new starters induction including, laptop issue, training set up and IT systems set up.

• Coordinate leavers, including returning of equipment and handover of key information; conducting and recording exit interviews.

You will be required to develop good relationships with all teams and have the passion and desire to help out where necessary with additional tasks.

What will I be doing?

As Accreditation Coordinator you will part of the Membership and Inclusion team. The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to upholding quality and standards. • Organising degree accreditation visits, accreditation events, and committee meetings

The Role

The Events Assistant will provide administrative and event delivery support to the Head of Events and the Events Coordinator in the planning and delivery of physical and virtual meetings, events and courses.

This role is hands on and varied and duties will include:

• Supporting the delivery of BAUS’s flagship Annual Meeting and a calendar of Specialist Section Meetings, Education Courses and virtual events.
• Maintaining accurate delegate and speaker databases, attendee lists and name badges.
• Assisting with event websites, mobile apps, social media and marketing campaigns.
• Liaising with venues, suppliers, exhibitors and delegates.
• Providing administrative support including processing payments, handling enquiries, and producing post event reports.
• Supporting set up, breakdown and onsite delivery of events (some travel and overnight stays will be required).

The Person

We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and a collaborative approach. You should come to us with experience working in an events environment, or the completion of an Events Management course.

This promises to be an exciting and busy role so you will need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to multitask effectively demonstrating a high level of customer service skills.

Perhaps most importantly you should be enthusiastic, flexible and pro-active, be a genuine team player and able to work independently when required as well as collaboratively along with colleagues.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Events & Fundraising Officer to join our small, dedicated team. Working closely with the rest of the Events & Fundraising team, you’ll help deliver and grow LLST’s fundraising events across London and the South East, including the London Legal Walk, Regional Legal Walks, Great Legal Bake, and Great Legal Quiz, as well as manage our third party challenge events. You will help to engage our supporters and large database in the legal community to generate fundraising.

You will play a vital role in the planning and organising of LLST’s flagship London Legal Walk, bringing together over 19,000 members of the legal community to walk 10km through central London and raise vital funds for over 100 free legal advice charities.

The role involves coordinating event logistics, managing supporter journeys and communications, maintaining our online presence, spreading the word about the importance of the work we do, and helping to develop our fundraising strategy. You’ll also line manage the Events & Fundraising Assistant and play a key role in maintaining LLST’s excellent reputation.

Age UK Croydon have an established befriending service providing one-to-one befriending for older people in their home. We are now launching a new and exciting Gift of Friendship (GoF) Programme to run alongside this existing face to face and telephone befriending service

The GoF programme will offer a new additional person-centred companionship service where volunteers and older people are matched to reduce loneliness and isolation together.  The service is person centred and dependent on the goals of the individual which could include, going for a walk, going shopping, attending activities or helping an older person to build or regain confidence in going out and about and developing more social connections. 

We are looking for excellent people skills, a strong initiative, and effective communications, including an ability to build relationships with clients and volunteers, and undertake matching in an astute and sensitive manner. You will also need excellent administration skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Location: You can be based near one of the following office locations - Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester or Newcastle. 

We operate a hybrid model of work i.e. a combination of in-person and remote, with flexible days in the office depending on business need and your preferences. We would typically expect in-office attendance an average of one day per week.  

Hours: We are looking for the right candidate and while we envisage this being a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) we are very open to flexible working arrangements such as part-time, compressed hours and/or flexitime.

The Opportunity 

As our Senior Evaluation Coordinator you’ll drive forward how we measure and share our organisation’s impact.

You’ll own our monitoring and evaluation framework and use this to design smart and robust ways to measure how our work creates change.

You’ll lead our annual data collection processes and cycles, collaborating with other teams to collect and share key outcomes data, both internally and externally.

From crafting data methodologies to generating insightful reporting for stakeholders, this role is ideal for someone who loves delving into data, analysing and communicating trends and working with others to make a difference. 

1. Designing how we measure our impact

• Shape evaluation questions and themes to explore, design the methodology, and consider data required to conduct robust analysis  

2. Evaluating our interventions

• Manage the yearly impact evaluation to further the organisation’s understanding of its effect across our three interventions:  
  •  on students’ outcomes, including student university destinations and longer-term graduate outcomes  
  •  on the outcomes of our employer influencing work, including the impact of the Social Mobility Employer Index  
  •  on the outcomes of our campaigns work  

3. Data collection and performance management​

• Develop and manage data analysis and visualisation tools and processes, such as PowerBI, to present monitoring data  

4. Reporting and sharing our impact

• Consolidate analysis findings, and present them to various audiences to enable conversations around the development of our work
