 Emergency Nutrition Network (ENN) is recognised for its work to reduce undernutrition globally. What we do

ENN’s work includes our “Field Exchange” publication that provides up to date information from research, programme learnings, and news from the sector, generated by practitioners, and distributed to our large network of researchers, practitioners and policy makers globally.  We have projects specialising in Infant Feeding in Emergencies, Wasting and Stunting, Maternal and Adolescent Nutrition and support for Small and Nutritionally at-risk Infants under six months & their mothers and also manage a peer-to-peer forum offering timely answers to the questions challenging those on the front line of providing services to treat and prevent malnutrition in the world.  ENN does not directly implement programmes but works to improve the effectiveness of all nutrition practitioners by helping to shape policy and practice at global and national levels.

Our Funding

ENN receives funding from governments, UN agencies, private foundations through grants and agreements, as well as contributions from partners.

This Role

The Emergency Nutrition Network intends to expand its funding base.  To do this we would like to open funding opportunities with the private and corporate sectors, new foundations and other donors that may have an interest in working to improve nutrition for people in emergency and high malnutrition contexts. 

The work will involve identifying potential funding sources, developing relationships and helping to finesse opportunities that can match ENN with potential funders.  This role will work with colleagues and will be closely supported by the CEO and technical team.

The position will report to the CEO. 

About You

We are looking for someone who would enjoy the challenge of working with a charity to raise funds to provide support for projects and practitioners working in difficult and resource poor situations to treat and prevent malnutrition.

Hours of work: fully flexible/negotiable

Location: Oxford area ideally, but the work does not need to be office based, so other locations should be workable.

• Solid project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. 

• Experience working within high-performing teams, including remote working arrangements.

• Through our campaigns we raise standards of care and awareness of issues for the animals who have no voice. We push for laws to be changed, improving the welfare of animals on farms, in research labs, in the wild, in paddocks or in our homes. 

• Through investigations and prosecutions, we stand up to those who deliberately harm animals to send out a clear message - we will not tolerate animal abuse. 

• Our highly trained officers tackle neglect and cruelty at every level and are working hard to stamp out large-scale serious, organised and commercial animal cruelty. 

• We believe every animal has the right to be counted as an individual. Animals can rely on us to rescue them when they need us most. To rehabilitate them wherever possible, provide them with the very best veterinary care and to find them new homes, either through rehoming or release.

What are we looking for? 

• Most people aged 18 or over are eligible to become a trustee. You will need to become a member of the RSPCA. Good interpersonal skills are important. You do not need to be an expert, although commitment, common sense and the ability to be objective is vital. 

• Specific skills such as finance, fundraising, project management, business experience, and awareness of employment and/or charity legislation can be useful, but not essential. 

• Trustees must sign a Trustee Declaration of Willingness to Act to clarify that they are not disqualified from being a trustee and that they accept the post. 

• In addition to our standard declaration of willingness, trustees also need to complete a declaration from the Charity Commission and read their guidance for individuals on who can’t be a trustee or senior manager of a charity.

• New RSPCA trustees are provided with a document “Trustees handbook” and asked to attend a training course which provides information and guidance about a trustee’s role and responsibilities. 

• Ongoing support is also provided by regional and national RSPCA staff in addition to any additional training provided by the relevant branch.

REMIX is a new youth social mobility charity start-up on a mission to "remix young lives" from disadvantaged backgrounds across London. We aim to guide, mentor, and inspire young people through positive role modelling, comprehensive personal development, and vital employability skills. We have our logo, but we need your creative expertise to bring our brand to life with an impactful, youth-friendly identity.

This is an incredible opportunity to apply your design skills to a meaningful social cause, helping us create a visual language that will attract young people to our programmes, inspire people to volunteer with us, and excite supporters to donate.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

We need a creative, and detail-oriented designer who understands how to connect with a youth audience through visuals. We have a logo already but need to create a positive youth brand around it.

In this vital set-up phase, you will be instrumental in:

• Developing a Brand Styling Guide: Collaborating with our team to build a comprehensive visual identity guide. This includes defining our brand colours, typography, imagery style (including photography and illustration direction), logo usage, and overall design principles to ensure a cohesive, youthful and impactful look.

• Designing Core Communication Materials: Creating templates and initial designs for:

  • Social media posts: Engaging graphics for Instagram.

  • Information booklets: Designing layouts for programme information, volunteer guides, or impact reports.

  • Presentation templates: Creating professional and appealing templates for pitches to funders and partners.

• Ensuring Brand Consistency: Helping to apply the new brand identity across all our communications, ensuring everything we produce feels distinctly REMIX.

• Visual Storytelling: Translating REMIX's mission and impact into compelling visual narratives that resonate with our audiences.
