Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with experience in public affairs to help build our profile across the UK.

Bringing a passion for influencing and an excellent understanding of how Parliament works, you will help us raise awareness of cervical cancer and drive improvements in prevention and treatment across the 4 nations.

You will help us develop policy and reports to build a clear and compelling narrative which motivates support and drives change. Through building and developing parliamentary contacts across the UK, and representing the charity at stakeholder meetings, you will be helping us to get closer to our vision of eliminating cervical cancer.

You will regularly arrange meetings and draft briefings for attendees, in addition to working with the Head of the department to respond to consultations. You will play a key role in supporting our campaigning work, ensuring our reports and research reach a wide audience and identifying opportunities to use public affairs activities to support work across the charity.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to their work. You will be working closely with women affected by cervical cancer, helping to tell their stories, so a high degree of empathy and sensitivity is required.

To apply for this role please send a CV and a covering letter to Kate Sanger, Head of Communication and Public Affairs. Applications without a covering letter will not be considered.

Closing date for application:  5pm on the 25th October 2020

Interview date: Friday 30th October 2020
