About the role

This is an exciting and pivotal leadership role at the heart of Kinship’s digital transformation. You’ll lead a talented and ambitious team to deliver innovative digital products, accessible content, and outstanding user experiences that support kinship carers and strengthen our organisational impact.

Kinship is growing rapidly. We are expanding our reach and digital capabilities, and our digital platforms are central to this change. In 2024, we launched a new website that brings together all our content and services under one roof, and introduced a new Kinship Compass postcode search feature. This is a national tool that helps kinship carers find and navigate local and national support, like their kinship local offer, local peer support groups and training. 

Alongside this, we have been developing a new AI-powered tool to help kinship carers get the information they need quickly and accurately, 24/7. This role will lead the evolution of these digital products, ensuring they are safe, ethical, data-driven and continuously improved to meet the needs of kinship carers.

You’ll play a key role in the Department for Education funded national Training and Support Service, helping kinship carers easily access and book high-quality training. You’ll also oversee the content design in collaboration with internal and external subject experts and kinship carers themselves.

This is a role for a digital leader who is both strategic and hands-on. You should be able to balance innovation with delivery, and big-picture thinking with strong governance. You’ll champion inclusive, accessible and co-produced design, helping Kinship use digital to deliver more impact, insight and empowerment for kinship families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide digital leadership across the organisation, increasing capability, confidence and collaboration. 

• Continue to develop and deliver Kinship’s digital strategy and product roadmap, covering the website, Kinship Compass, Kinship Minds, AI tool and other digital tools (excluding marketing and social media). 

• Ensure our content design approach is consistently applied — using evidence, data and co-production to create content that is: 

  • informed by user need 

  • written in plain English and inclusive language 

  • trauma-informed and strengths-based 

  • tested, iterated and continuously improved 

• Collaborate across teams to ensure digital products support fundraising, campaigning, research and service delivery where appropriate. 

• Build relationships with sector peers, tech partners and funders to share best practice and explore innovation. 

• Embed co-production with kinship carers in all digital design and development, including Kinship Minds content and UX design. 

• Ensure induction, documentation and systems support efficient and sustainable working. 

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience includes:

• Significant senior digital leadership experience covering strategy, delivery, KPIs, budgeting and reporting. 
• Successful track record leading mid–large scale website and digital development projects. 
• Credible technical expertise for a senior role, including SEO, analytics and optimisation. 
• Excellent project management experience and commitment to taking accountability for tools like Asana and Notion. 
• Positive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to innovation and improvement. 
• Substantial experience leading dispersed teams, including wellbeing, performance and professional development 
• Experience designing and delivering digital services for families in crisis or underserved communities. 
• A real commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion within your role.

About the Role

In this newly created role, you will work directly with the CEO, providing oversight and direction to Team Leaders to ensure that services operate effectively and meet contractual requirements. You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire, with the ability to make an impact quickly.  You’ll bring proven hands-on experience in a similar role working with a team to establish effective and innovative ways to deliver services. 
 

Main Responsibilities 

1. Strategic and Operational Leadership

·       Hold overall accountability for service performance and quality, working through the Adult, Young and Hospital Carers Team Leaders who lead day-to-day operations 

·       Ensure alignment with our strategic priorities and our commissioned outcomes.

·       Contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team, supporting organisational strategy, planning and delivery.

·       Ensure that all carer services operate cohesively, with smooth transitions between age groups and consistent quality standards.

·       Use data and feedback to drive service improvement and innovation.

2. Service Delivery and Quality

·       Oversee the effective management of the Adult, Young, Young Adult and Hospital teams.

·       Embed a culture of high performance, reflective practice and continuous learning.

·       Ensure strong safeguarding practices are central in all services

·       Ensure systems are used consistently for case management, data recording and reporting.

·       Work with the Diverse Communities Worker and other leads to ensure services are inclusive, culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of underrepresented groups 

·       Oversee the effective involvement of volunteers within carer services, working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure they are well-supported, trained and valued as integral members of the team.

3. People Leadership and Team Development

·       Foster collaboration and a supportive team culture built on the Carers Bucks values.

·       Line-manage and support the three Team Leads, ensuring clarity of priorities, effective supervision and professional growth.

·       Support wellbeing, resilience and a sense of shared purpose across teams.

4. Safeguarding

·       Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Carers Bucks, providing advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements, and escalating concerns appropriately.

·       Maintain oversight of all safeguarding cases across the organisation and support Team Leaders in their DDSL responsibilities.

5. Partnership and Representation

·       Provide strategic coordination across thematic leads (Diverse Communities, Hospitals, Volunteers) to ensure alignment and shared priorities across services 

·       Represent Carers Bucks strategically with partners across social care, education and health. 

·       Support the CEO in relationships with commissioners, primary and secondary care, schools and VCSE partners to enhance identification and referral of carers.

·       Champion the voice of carers of all ages through partnership boards, networks and other forums.

6. Performance, Impact and Reporting

·       Monitor performance against contract outcomes, KPIs and quality standards.

·       Work with our Data Lead to ensure accurate reporting and a strong evidence base for our work. 

·       Analyse trends and learning to inform service design and improvement.

·       Contribute to quarterly and annual reports for commissioners and trustees.

·       Provide effective feedback upwards to the CEO.

7. Organisational Contribution

·       Contribute to strategic planning, risk management and organisational development.

·       Represent Carers Bucks at events, conference and key campaigns 

·       Lead on the co-design of new approaches, including digital and preventative models.

·       Stay abreast of local and national developments in carers’ policy and practice.

·       Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Executive.

Personal Attributes, Skills and Experience
 

Essential Experience or Qualifications

• Proven experience of operating at a similar level, leading a services team in the charity sector.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams to achieve shared goals.
• Proven ability to quickly make an impact.
• Experience of delivering training or presentations to external audiences.
• Experience of report writing and using data to inform decisions.
• Proven experience of a commitment to Diversity and Inclusion.
• Experience of safeguarding principles for both adults and children and experience in applying them.
• A full UK driving licence and or access to own transport.

Project Worker – Mockingbird Programme

We are seeking a confident communicator and skilled relationship builder to support the delivery of the Mockingbird programme across the UK.

Salary: £32,480 to £37,555 plus London weighting if eligible
Location: Home based in East England or East London, with regular UK travel
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

This role focuses on helping fostering services understand, implement and sustain the Mockingbird model. You will make a real impact on the lives of foster families and children by supporting stronger, more resilient communities within fostering.

The role is home based, however applicants must live in the East England or East London area. Regular travel and occasional overnight stays across the UK will be required.

About the role

The Mockingbird programme is an evidence based model that creates sustainable foster care through the power of community. You will join a team of dedicated project workers who provide guidance, training and ongoing support to fostering services taking part in the programme.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing ongoing coaching, guidance and quality assurance to delivery partners across the UK
• Supporting training and learning, both online and in person
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Contributing to the development of training and quality assurance tools
• Supporting national programme events and activities
• Managing project administration, planning and reporting

About you

This role suits someone who is confident presenting, supporting others and managing a busy workload with competing deadlines. The work is varied, meaningful and directly linked to improving outcomes for foster families and young people.

We are keen to hear from people who can demonstrate:

• Experience providing support, coaching or training to staff or customers
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism

Youth Project Worker

Transform the lives of  young people with learning disabilities and autism who are avoiding school . Use creativity, advocacy and relationship-building to help them articulate their needs, re-enter education and rebuild social connections.

You'll work with 35 young people with learning disabilities and autism in Coventry each year , helping them to:

• Articulate their needs and wishes through creative one-to-one advocacy and support
• Re-enter education in a way that works for them as complex individuals
• Re-build social skills and connections to protect their wellbeing and enrich their lives

These young people may be learning-disabled or autistic, in special or mainstream education, or not in education, employment or training (NEET). They include school avoiders, those on reduced timetables, and young people with unmet mental health needs. Without support, their outcomes are often bleak - but you can change that.

What You'll Do

You'll meet young people where they feel most comfortable - at times that suit them, using WhatsApp, Zoom, or face-to-face. Together, you'll:

• Create multimedia person-centred 'back to learning and community' plans using video, voice recording, photographs, artwork or graphics
• Build their confidence through weekly one-to-one sessions, with gradual group engagement on their terms
• Advocate for their views and support them to develop self-advocacy skills
• Connect them with meaningful opportunities across the city
• Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals
• Complete risk assessments, travel plans and project monitoring

A fun and creative touch is essential - you'll co-design all activities with young people, focusing on what matters to them.

Job Summary

The Head of Operations holds responsibility for our day-to-day delivery, strategic development of our services, and operational team leadership. As our new Head of Operations you will:

• sit on the PiP Senior Management Team and lead our team of circa twenty delivery staff. 
• ensure continuous operational improvement, working with SMT to develop our service and systems, through new projects or ways of working, and champion a learner-led approach to everything we do. 
• champion PiP meeting our regulatory and reporting requirements, manage key relationships including with local authorities, and hold budget responsibility across our service.

What You’ll Need

• Significant experience of working with people with learning disabilities, or a similar vulnerable client group, including knowledge of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) processes.
• Significant experience of leading and managing a staff team.

Your role:

To support the development of the new Co-Production project in Ealing in partnership with Ealing Mencap and the EPCF

 To provide organisational and administrative support to the project and SG meetings

· To communicate with parents and parent volunteers supporting the project

·To facilitate and manage the new Co-Production Steering Group with partners and professionals from the LA

·To communicate on a regular basis with partners and LA services

·To act as first point of contact for queries about the project from parents and partners

Our members are looking for an enthusiastic indovidual to join our Network Hope Activities team as staff cover for 9 months.

You will work under the direction of the Project Manager and alongside, tutors to deliver activities, support networks, health and wellbeing and training support to beneficiaries and to recruit, train and support a network of volunteers to facilitate the support groups. 

The role will involve collaboration with other local businesses and third sector organisations to deliver the activities. This Project’s aim is to support vulnerable disabled people (including those with learning disabilities, autism and those affected by mental health issues and their families) through consistent provision of health and wellbeing activities, pathways into employment training, sport and social activities, advice, signposting and peer support based both at our Resource Centre in W10 and out in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
 
1. Supporting Tutors, volunteers, senior staff and beneficiaries 
 
Utilising EPM’s resources to lead in locally sourcing beneficiaries and volunteers from the local community. Liaise with the NHS and Social Services, partner providers and schools, colleges, community centres, voluntary organisations and referral agencies. 

· Facilitate and support local support groups, 

· Plan, arrange and run a variety of activities and training programmes. 

· Recruit and support a network of volunteers to co-facilitate support groups and activities 

· Under the direction of The Project Manager conduct home visits to assess the needs of the families and inform them of support available through Network Hope. 

· Arrange the selection and delivery of healthy food and drinks and running the catering and gardening training groups. 

· Work with sports and fitness tutors to ensure all equipment used in sports/fitness sessions are secure and meet health and safety standards. 

· Coordinate and oversee respite and peer group support to the families. 

· Develop, monitor, update and review individual action plans for all beneficiaries. 

· Conduct evaluation reports (including case studies) and work with senior management to collate the information. 

· Assist senior management in leading  advisory group meetings and lead/facilitate local support group meetings.

Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of WIPs housing programme in Manchester and Trafford, with a focus on women coming into contact with the police and women being released back into the community following a period on remand, providing trauma-informed specialist support to improve housing outcomes for women affected by the criminal justice system.

1. To deliver an effective housing intervention for women impacted by the criminal justice system.
2. To develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as housing departments, court-based and prison teams, to ensure a collaborative approach to women’s accommodation needs.
3. To provide expert advice and support to colleagues, including upskilling through information and training sessions, and supporting system change activities.

The Role

They aim to diversify their income streams over the next few years and invest resources in building a brand that will capture people's imaginations and hearts, thereby building on a small pool of existing donors and growing individual giving, legacy, and major donor work.

With increased resources allocated to diversifying income, this post would suit someone interested in a start-up project focused on building individual giving from scratch, including regular and one-off donations, cultivating donors, including major donors, coordinating and developing event-based fundraising, and legacy-based giving.

You would manage a small team od two and work with the Senior Trust Fundraiser to provide support to other Strategic Programme leads, to ensure they maintain a high standard of reporting to trusts and foundations.

About the role

We’re looking for a Voice Officer with experience of working with children, young people and their families and amplifying their voices to help create positive change to join our Voice Team. 

The Voice Officer is a key member of the Voice Team, responsible for enabling Young Lives vs Cancer to shape the children and young people’s cancer system with and for young people with cancer and their families. You will enable young people affected by cancer and their families to have a stronger voice inside and outside the organisation - not just to contribute, but also to challenge, giving the power to them to amplify their voice and make positive change.

You will work with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to deliver our Voice work to a high quality. Responsible for managing incoming enquiries and communications with our volunteer Voice Board Members, Voice Champions and Voice Hub network, working with the team to plan and run meetings and events both online and in person. With excellent organisational skills, you will help plan and coordinate our voice work, building strong working relationships with colleagues and our voice community with volunteer management responsibility for Voice Board Members and Voice Champions.

What will I be doing?

Main responsibilities

Communication and Organisation

• Delivering effective internal communication regarding the Voice team and playing a pro-active and leading role in Voice team meetings
• Supporting with correspondence, record-keeping and tracking leading on communications with our voice volunteers and internal communications
• Effective project management of voice activity - for example, planning events, setting goals and impact measurements for the activity, managing risks and reporting on progress

Voice Activities

• Working with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to deliver the organisation’s Voice approach, enabling children, young people and parents/carers to shape the organisation and the system it is situated within, maximising our Voice opportunities
• Delivery of the Voice Board so it is an effective model for the Board of Trustees to listen to and act upon the voices of young people with cancer, their parents/carers and siblings.
• Travel and occasional overnight stays to attend in person events with our voice volunteers.
• Developing and supporting the growth of our Voice Hub bringing voice opportunities to our wider community
• Act as the key contact and support for our Voice Champion Volunteers
• Working in partnership with the Voice Champions team on the development and dissemination of voice guidance and training for staff and volunteers across the organisation, designed to equip them so that they can confidently work alongside young cancer patients and their families
• Working with the Voice Manager and Head of Voice to ensure that we are able to amplify voices of all our beneficiaries across the whole of the UK, from the widest range of backgrounds and cultures

Working relationships and contacts

• Volunteer management of our Voice Board Members and Voice Champions Team.
• Building and maintaining relationships and influencing others. Both internally working with colleagues to equip them to work alongside young people and families and externally working with young people and families to understand their views and opinions, ensuring that they feel heard as well as building connections with partners across the sector.
• Develop and sustain sector relationships, staying up to date with external developments in voice and participation and identifying opportunities for innovation and partnership
