Job description

You've got a good understanding of mental health issues and really enjoy supporting others to achieve independence and lead their own recovery. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as a Casual Crisis Recovery Worker

Our crisis services in Lancashire offer a therapeutic space for people experiencing difficulties with their mental health. We have two crisis houses based in Central and East Lancashire, three 24 hours crisis support services, as well as a Lancaster based outreach service. Right now, our Central Lancashire 24 hour crisis support team is looking for someone like you to join them. With a wide range of skills and backgrounds, our teams take a creative approach to their work and are an integral part of the recovery journey of those who use our services. That’s where you come in.

As a Casual Crisis Recovery Worker, you will plan and deliver a number of therapeutic intervention sessions to support people in developing a ‘toolkit’ of coping mechanisms to manage their crisis. From anxiety management and grounding techniques to sleep hygiene and mindfulness, you will draw upon a wide range of therapeutic techniques and tailor each session to meet the needs of the individual. You will liaise with a variety of other professionals and teams, taking referrals, robustly risk-assessing and making decisions with the rest of your team, ensuring that the people using our services get the holistic wraparound support they need.

We are looking for caring, consistent, flexible and creative individuals who work well under pressure and are keen to work in mental health. Good communication is essential, as is a good knowledge of mental health. You will receive a full induction, regular supervisions, as well as opportunities for personal and professional development by working across our range of services. You will also have access to learning and development opportunities.

This is a rolling recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be interviewed as and when they apply.

So, are you ready to take on this rewarding role that comes with some really great benefits, including a smartphone? Apply now via our website.
