We have an exciting new opportunity for a Fundraising Assistant to play a key role in the success of our fundraising appeals and campaigns.

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our individual donors, providing outstanding donor care and helping to ensure they have the best possible experience with the Charity. You will work as part of a friendly, supportive team who are dedicated to supporting the work of Nottingham’s hospitals.

You will have strong administration and database skills, and the ability to work on a range of fundraising activities around donor acquisition and retention, helping to raise vital funds for Nottingham’s Hospitals. We are looking for someone who can work effectively on multiple projects, has a keen attention to detail and can communicate confidently and appropriately with a range of audiences.

Housekeeper

 Location: Osgathorpe, Leicestershire

Job Type: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £20,666 - £25,833 per annum (depending on experience)

To help them create amazing partnerships they need amazing people. They have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their dedicated housekeeping team.

This is an incredible role at a prominent assistance dog charity where your role will be a part of their essential work that transforms lives every day.

 What you will do:

 You will be working within a small team to provide housekeeping cover, cleaning and catering for their on-site training courses, and overnight stays by their clients, staff, or other site users. You will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the site are kept clean to the highest standard and support the housekeeping and catering needs in all aspects of the charity's work.

What they are looking for:

•  Highly effective interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills across a range of audiences.
• Experience in providing cleaning services.
• Ability to plan, prepare and cook hot and cold meals.
• Basic understanding of nutrition including knowledge of special dietary needs and food allergies.
• Some knowledge of human physical disabilities.
• Level 2 food hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Flexibility to take on additional hours as needed.

You will be happy to work as part of a team and on your own initiative whilst being personable and approachable to all service users. The role requires some heavy and strenuous cleaning duties therefore it is essential that you have the physical capability to carry out these tasks safely.

This role benefits from working at their purpose-built training centre in the rural countryside of Osgathorpe, Leicestershire - some local travel to and from the training centre may be required for weekly shopping trips and collecting/dropping off clients. This is a working training centre therefore you must be comfortable with dogs in the workplace.

The basic hours for the role are 22.5 hours per week, normally 3 days per week however hours will vary depending on charity activities. Some work may include evenings (up to 6.30 pm) and weekends to support on-site training courses for their clients. Working hours will be agreed on a 4-weekly basis. Time off in lieu or overtime pay will be available as appropriate for additional hours worked.

We are seeking an experienced insightful and dynamic Individual Giving Manager to help Nottingham Hospitals Charity take its individual giving income to the next level. As one of our most important income streams, we are looking for someone with a strategic and analytical mind to help guide and inform our next steps.

You will have a keen understanding of the importance of donor acquisition and retention, recognise the importance of working collaboratively with other income streams and be able to work closely with our marketing team. You will be well versed with Raiser’s Edge Database and understand the importance of GDPR in your everyday work.

Would you like a role where you can create systemic change in prison healthcare?

Listen to Families is an innovative new service to improve prison healthcare by involving families and carers more proactively in the process. A pilot project - the first of its kind - has been running in London for around 18 months. It seeks to create mechanisms and opportunities for families to be heard and influence how healthcare services are delivered and developed.

The service listens to the views and experiences of families, feeds that back to the NHS and providers, makes recommendations about where improvements could be made, and works with them to co-produce solutions with people who have lived experience.

This role holder will set up a similar pilot project in four prisons in the South East – HMPs Elmley, Downview, Huntercombe and Aylesbury. This is an opportunity for someone to join and shape the delivery of the project from the day one.

We're looking for:

• A good understanding of service user engagement practices and methodologies.
• Understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and the complex/vulnerable nature of our service users.
• Knowledge and understanding of the diverse needs of prisoners and their families, including those from marginalised communities.
• Experience of service user involvement with diverse groups, ideally including people who have been affected by the criminal justice system.
