Job description

Here at Charity Horizons we are delighted to be partnering with a National Education Charity whose primary aim is to advance the education of young people in mathematics. They do this by working with hundreds of volunteers across the UK to organise maths competitions promoting problem solving and teamwork and other mathematical enrichment activities. As a charity they are just about to embark on an exciting new period of strategic growth and are looking for talented, committed, ambitious and innovative individuals to help them on their journey, could this be you? 

In your role as Events and Communications Executive you will be at the centre of a small department that is responsible for the delivery of the trusts maths Challenges and Olympiads. Every year these events engage thousands of students and schools across the UK and overseas. You will work closely with volunteers and supporters providing excellent stewardship and communications. 

The main duties of the role will be to produce and deliver communications, across multiple channels, for all Challenges and Olympiads which will include residential camps, overseas competitions and associated events. You will ensure the smooth running of events and be responsible for managing relationships with key volunteers as well as designing, collecting, and collating feedback. Throughout your work you will ensure excellent supporter care is delivered at all times by a variety of channels to include telephone, email, social media and the website. 

To be considered for this role you should come to us with previous events experience as well as experience in delivering marketing and communications plans using multiple platforms and channels. You should have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to communicate with people at all levels including volunteer committees, supporters and managers. The ability to analyse working processes and seek to drive improvement organisational is essential, as are exemplary time management and organisational skills. The role will be a blend of home working and office based in Leeds.
