We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer for the Croydon Group. As our Fundraising Volunteer you’ll support your Group Coordinator to organise local fundraising activities and events throughout the year.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication and team working skills.Most importantly you’ll inspire your local community to raise funds that help make sure no one has to face MS alone.

Time Commitment

We estimate this role will need around 2 hours a week. Our roles are flexible and aim to fit around you. Time commitments for this role may vary depending on your activities. This is an ongoing role.

And they play an important role in keeping our data and details up to date to comply with data protection legislation.

In this role you’ll develop your administration and organisation skills. Most importantly you’ll be help your local group run efficiently, so they can keep providing valuable services to our MS community.

Without the passionate and committed teams of volunteers across Cats Protection we wouldn’t be able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us for help. Our Cat welfare team leaders have the important role of coordinating, encouraging and supporting teams of fosterer volunteers and cat care volunteers. They help make sure volunteers with direct cat care roles are happy and confident and provide advice and guidance when needed. What we need from you

You’ll be:

• Volunteering alongside colleagues including the branch coordinator/team leader, Cat Welfare team, branch development manager and Vet team to ensure that cat care policies, procedures and standards are applied
• Support fosterers to follow cat welfare policies and procedures
• Acting as the main point of contact within the branch for cat welfare and ensuring that welfare updates are shared and implemented effectively
• Supporting the branch by ensuring that accurate and up to date records of all cats helped are maintained, using specified systems
• Attending relevant volunteer training sessions and encouraging other volunteers to do likewise
• With the other volunteers, recruit, induct and support all branch fosterers and cat care volunteers
• Represent the branch at relevant meetings
• Play an active part in the branch committee, being part of the branch team leading on cat adoption information and updates
• Collaborating with the cat adoption team leader to ensure the highest standards of cat care are applied in line with our policies and procedures

SAIL Derbyshire delivers a range of specialist support services for adult survivors of sexual abuse, incest, and sexual violence. We are seeking a new Treasurer for our experienced governing body. Our Board of Trustees is central to the work of SAIL, taking responsibility for ensuring that the charity operates properly and effectively.

What will you be doing?

Working with the Finance Officer and the senior management team, our Treasurer will play an important role overseeing the presentation of budgets, internal management accounts and annual financial statements to the Board of Trustees. They will also keep the Board informed about its financial duties and responsibilities and liaising with the Finance Officer and Director to develop the financial understanding of the Board of Trustees.

 Essential 

We are looking for a person willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our Board. You do not need previous governance experience – we will provide a full induction and training. 

You'll be a finance professional with experience of bookkeeping standards, financial controls and processes, annual accounts production, budgeting and cash flow forecasting. A clear communicator with the ability to bring the financial information alive to non finance specialists. 

You will also be willing to play an active role in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, liaising with auditors.You'll have the skills to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences and a  willingness to be available to give financial advice and answer enquiries from any staff or volunteers on an ad hoc basis. 

Essentially, you'll be committed to the purpose, objects and values of the organisation and be able to maintain confidentiality on sensitive and confidential information.
