JOB PURPOSE: We are seeking a passionate, creative, and community-driven Book Club Manager / Community Lead (Volunteer) to help build and grow a thought-provoking book club focused on awakening, education, critical thinking, and personal growth. About the role: The purpose of the Book Club Manager / Community Lead (Volunteer) role is to establish, manage, and grow an engaging and intellectually stimulating book club community that promotes education, awareness, personal development, and critical thinking. The role holder will be responsible for creating and implementing the club’s structure, coordinating discussions and events, curating impactful reading materials, and developing systems that enhance member participation and overall community experience. Experience Qualification and Requirements
Experience running or managing book clubs, discussion groups, or community programs is a plus, but passionate and motivated individuals are encouraged to apply.
Strong organizational and event management skills.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills for leading discussions.
Knowledge of tools and platforms for virtual book clubs (Zoom, Discord, social media, event management platforms, etc.).
Ability to research, source, and recommend books that challenge mainstream narratives and promote critical thinking.

Main Responsibilities/ Key Duties
Develop and establish the structure of the book club, including mission, themes, and long-term goals.
Schedule and organize regular book club sessions, both online and offline.
Manage and moderate discussions to ensure engaging, respectful, and thought-provoking conversations.
Source, curate, and recommend books aligned with the club’s mission of awakening, education, and self-reflection.
Create and host events such as webinars, author talks, workshops, or live discussions.
Promote the book club through social media, community networks, and other channels to grow membership.
Develop systems and processes to streamline operations, track member engagement, and improve overall club experience.
Mentor and guide members on critical thinking, awareness, and personal growth.

Role Overview
We’re seeking a dedicate Website Master to help us maintain and update our club’s website. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic web skills who wants to support grassroots sport and gain valuable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Update website content (fixtures, results, news, team info) as needed
- Make basic edits and improvements to layout or design
- Ensure information is accurate, timely, and accessible
- Liaise with club staff for updates and content
- Monitor website for issues and coordinate fixes
Requirements

Purpose of the role:
The Volunteer Instructional Designer supports our mission by designing engaging, effective and learner-centred educational materials. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, program staff and other volunteers to transform ideas and content into structured learning experiences that are accessible, inclusive and impactful.
About the Role:
As Instructional Designer, you will work closely with the Membership Director, Book Club Coordinator, and Social & Digital Media Education Lead to develop structured learning pathways, modules, and resources for our membership programmes. Your work will ensure that all learning experiences are engaging, accessible, and aligned with our anti-capitalist, community-driven, and survivor-centred mission. This is a hands-on, impactful role combining strategy, creativity, and operational delivery.
Experience Qualification and Requirements
Essential Technical Competencies:
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development or educational programme creation in formal or informal learning environments.
- Proven experience designing and delivering community-based education, training or learning programmes.
- Experience using content creation tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Canva).
- Basic familiarity with e-learning tools, learning management systems or content creation software is a plus.
- Ability to develop structured learning pathways with clear outcomes and assessments.
- Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible and inclusive learning materials.
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.
- Hands-on experience contributing to open-source projects.
- Implementing security, accessibility or system optimisation practices in real-world projects.
Desirable / Can Be Developed:
- Experience in instructional design, learning design or educational content creation.
