About the role
Joining our dedicated team of nurses, you will support our helpline and Ask Our Nurses (AON).
The nursing team includes an associate director, senior clinical nurse specialists, clinical nurse specialists, sessional nurses and trained helpline staff.
You will act as a resource for clients, healthcare professionals and the wider public about breast health and breast cancer. This includes providing information and support to clients though our national helpline, by email and social media.
The helpline service is run throughout the week, and on Saturday mornings (the latter is optional, other than training days) and the helpline hours are 8:45am to 4.00pm. Team training usually occurs twice a year on Saturdays. You’ll be supported by a senior clinical nurse specialist and have regular clinical supervision. We are looking for candidates who can work at least one day (6.25 hours) per week
About you
Do you have excellent communication skills and experience in breast care nursing? If so, we’re really interested in hearing from you. This position could suit someone working part time in the NHS or private sector or for individuals who would like to use their information and support skills through our helpline and AON written enquiry services.

Job Title: Services Manager (Penny Brohn UK for GenesisCare)

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours a week (worked over 4 days) with the potential increase to 37 hours after one year
Salary: £37,000- £39,000 pro rata
Location: Home based with travel to the GenesisCare centres across England and the Penny Brohn UK National Centre in Bristol. Candidates will be based within reasonable travelling time to the majority of the 14 GenesisCare centres. Across southern and central England.

The role
As Services Manager, you’ll lead a team of 8 Wellbeing Consultants across GenesisCare centres in England. You’ll play a key role in recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff and therapists, ensuring high quality, compassionate care for people living with cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of Wellbeing Consultants
- Conduct regular site visits, role observations, and audits
- Assist recruitment, induction, and training of new staff
- Ensure quality assurance and safe practice across the service
- Deputise for the Head of Services when required
The individual we are looking for will have:
- Recent experience supporting people in a clinical setting
- Proven experience of managing remote teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience in training delivery and evaluation
- A relevant healthcare or professional qualification (e.g. Nurse, counsellor)

Admin Assistant (Services)
Location: SIA House, Milton Keynes – We offer hybrid working with the expectation of three days per week in the office
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

About the role
In this role you will be part of the Health & Care Quality team, providing administrative and organisational support to the clinical team, which includes nurses, therapists and counsellors.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Manage all referrals from centralised inbox, prioritising and forwarding referrals to the relevant team member, or to direct enquiries to more appropriate services if necessary.
- Assess need of each referral and discuss with ‘on call’ nurse/counsellor if it appears urgent or guidance required to establish need.
- Ensure all relevant service user information is available. Calls sometimes required to establish this.
- Input into database (CRM). Ensure information remains updated and relevant.
- Refer to appropriate nurse/ therapist / counsellor according to region.
- Overview that referrals are responded to in a timely manner.
- Manage the Counselling referrals on the CRM including adding clients, updating status and setting up respective client files on the public drive.
- Contact those waiting to access SIA’s counselling service as required, to reassess need and inform of offers or initiatives.
- To liaise between the team and referrers to arrange face-to-face visits as required.
- Admin support with stock level, ordering and distribution of leaflets, booklets, emergency medical cards.
- Arrange and minute internal meetings and training sessions.
