About the role
The Operations Coordinator will play an important role in the smooth running of the day centre and night shelter. Working with the Operations Lead, the post holder will secure a diverse and active cohort of volunteers able to fill all the necessary shifts, ensure the building is well maintained and manage the stock of necessary provisions so that guests are adequately provided for. We particularly welcome those with lived experience of homelessness who are able to bring their ‘expertise through experience’ to the role.
Key responsibilities:
Volunteers
- Work with the Operations Lead in the recruitment, training and onboarding of our volunteers, coordinating any relevant checks as required
- Manage volunteer rotas for all our projects: ensuring all shifts are filled in a timely fashion
- Contribute to our engagement with volunteers to ensure they have the best possible experience. This includes supporting the Operations Lead in managing the volunteer advisory group and the provision of training and development of volunteers
- Ensure the volunteer CRM system is kept up to date with all aspects of volunteer data and contribute ideas and actions to improve the process
- Contribute to regular volunteer communication including volunteer newsletters
- Contribute to reports for trustees and other stakeholders on our volunteers and their contribution to the smooth running of the centre.
Premises
- Timely reporting of any damage to the property, fixtures and fittings and liaising with the local authority and repair teams
- Undertake actions as required to ensure the health and safety of the premises, guests, staff, and volunteers. This includes fire alarm tests and fire drills, emergency lighting tests, acting as a fire warden, security alarm tests, and any other health and safety aspects of the premises.
Logistics and administration
- Undertake the ordering of food, stocking of food donations, and timely communications to volunteer cooks
- Ensure all costs are properly recorded and shared with our bookkeeper
- Undertake other administrative tasks as required.
Organisational engagement

The Finance Coordinator position will report to the Finance Manager. We’re looking for a passionate and confident Food and Farm Discovery Coordinator to inspire primary-aged children through hands-on food, farming and countryside learning. You’ll deliver engaging cooking, gardening and farm visit experiences, working closely with schools, farmers and food producers - particularly in areas of disadvantage.
What you’ll do
- Deliver Farm Discovery Days and the Food Discovery programme in schools
- Plan and lead farm visits, cooking and gardening sessions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and farm hosts
- Manage session planning, equipment, health & safety and safeguarding
- Work independently as part of a supportive national team
Time commitment & pay
- Around 80–90 paid days per year (seasonal variation)

Quakers in Britain is looking for a Faith in Action Coordinator to help strengthen and grow grassroots Quaker activism for positive social change. This is an ideal role for a ‘people person’ who is passionate about empowering others.
You will be working to strengthen a faith-driven movement by taking action on a range of peace and justice issues. You will bring a flexible, problem-solving approach to the work, providing advice and support to Quakers working on local projects and campaigns. You will help to build a stronger network of Quaker activists, who are inspired by faith and can learn from and support each other.
Building and nurturing good relationships is key to this role. You will need to respond with empathy and sensitivity to the needs of individuals and groups and identify how best to support them in their work. You will also need good organisational skills and be able to reflect on and learn from your work to inform future planning. The Faith in Action Coordinators also work with the wider team to contribute to newsletters and web and video resources to support Quakers to take action for climate justice and peace.
Experience in community development or community organising approaches would be an advantage, but skills are more important than background for this role. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of experience.

About Resonance
Resonance is a 24/7, artist-led community radio station based in Southwark, London, broadcasting on FM, DAB and online to audiences in the UK and internationally. The station supports experimental arts & culture and under-represented voices through community radio broadcasting, working with hundreds of volunteer broadcasters, artists and producers each year alongside a small staff team. Resonance is delivered by London Musicians’ Collective Limited, a registered charity (290236), and is sustained through listener support and grant funding.
Purpose of the Role
This role exists to increase Resonance’s charitable income, securing the funding that enables its artistic and community work to happen. It sits alongside, rather than within, artistic and operational delivery, with a specific focus on charitable fundraising and supporter engagement.
The Development Coordinator works across the organisation to draw out the charitable purpose, public benefit and impact of Resonance’s activity, and to communicate this clearly to funders and donors through funding applications, donor communications and impact-led narratives.

- Charitable income increases year on year, supported by a strong pipeline of trust and foundation applications and effective stewardship of funders.
- Individual giving grows, with donors and supporters receiving regular, credible communications that lead to stronger engagement and donations over time.

Role Context
This role is supported by grant funding from the Community Radio Fund, administered by Ofcom on behalf of the UK Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). The Development Coordinator focuses on resourcing Resonance’s charitable mission by translating artistic and community activity into clear, funder- and donor-facing narratives, working at the intersection of information, relationships and deadlines and exercising good judgement when priorities compete or information is incomplete.
