ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting new role that will see the postholder leading EVAW’s strategic, influential campaigns work. The postholder will drive EVAW’s planned and reactive campaigning, advising the Director(s) and working closely with Heads of Communications, Policy and Research, Public Affairs and Membership functions within the organisation. The role is front-facing, requiring the postholder to confidently represent the organisation in high-level stakeholder spaces, as well as in the media. The postholder will lead on monitoring, evaluation and learning, ensuring the efficacy of our campaigns and interventions, as well as promoting internal learning and reflection. Using their strong campaigning nous/instinct the postholder will also be effective at adapting or amending campaigns and interventions when the external landscape shifts.
The postholder will have a finger on the pulse of current affairs and trends and be willing and able balance reactive and responsive work with delivering planned outputs and activities. You should be comfortable both working at pace, and with taking time to reflect and re-strategise.
You are likely to have experience in campaigns, working on VAWG or another human rights/equalities issue, and will be seeking an opportunity to work in a highly impactful, agile and dynamic feminist organisation.
Whether practical or academic, paid or voluntary, a background in VAWG will of course be an asset. You’ll need to show you have a good understanding of VAWG, can communicate complex issues with clarity and impact, and are committed to intersectional feminism. You will also act as a liaison between the Society/PPL and Committee members on practical and logistical matters, such as supporting with expenses, as required.
The role will provide administrative support for the Nominations process and success planning, including Committee Chair, Trustee and Director inductions, along with drafting and reviewing policy documents and terms of reference. In addition, providing support on EDI initiatives with the wider team on the EDI Toolkit management.
Suitable candidates will have experience in Committee work, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be able to present information in a concise report format, with strong attention to detail, while being able to work flexibly to manage competing demands as required.

ROLE PURPOSE
Sitting within our Philanthropy & Partnerships team, you will play a pivotal role in securing the philanthropic support that makes ShelterBox's work possible. The Supporter Engagement Officer plays a key role in making sure everyone who supports Race Against Dementia has a positive and rewarding experience. They will manage day-to-day supporter communications, maintain our supporter database, and build strong relationships with donors, fundraisers and volunteers around the world. By helping people feel valued and connected to our mission, they will help inspire long -term support and generate more funding for dementia research.

You will lead a newly united fundraising programme that has brought together corporate partnerships, major donors, and trusts & foundations - an area that already contributes over 80% of our fundraised income. Remuneration Package & Contract Details
Annual FTE salary: Up to £37,250 FTE per annum (based on 35hrs a week) / Pro-rata £29,800 based on 28 hours a week
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Weeks Per Annum: 52 weeks
Working Hours Per Week: 28 hours
Working Days: Flexible hours - evening and weekend work may be required, and the hours may differ each week, depending on the activity that is being undertaken.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 20 days annually, plus bank holidays, plus your birthday off each year

We are looking for a policy adviser to work primarily in our resource stewardship theme to help deliver ambitious leadership for the environment. You will also have opportunities to work on projects in our Legislation & Governance unit.
Using your strong research and strong communication skills, you will contribute to work that shapes the future of circular economy policy and environmental legislation in the UK. Collaborating with colleagues across the organization, including in comms and politics, you will help identify compelling evidence, stories, and projects to drive better use of resources in the UK and will secure support for projects and policy proposals by building relationships with politicians and policymakers, environmental NGOs and community groups, business partners and other stakeholders.
This is a varied role that will also include project management to ensure effective delivery, including ensuring outputs and events are effectively planned and executed to deadline and to a high quality.
