Job description

We're incredibly excited to be launching SUNSHINE, a brand-new start-up charity in London with a heartfelt mission: to combat loneliness by bringing people together, spreading joy, and building community spirit! Through grassroots activities and programmes, we'll foster connections, enhance well-being, and help transform lives for the better.

Do you have a knack for creating engaging learning experiences and impactful activities?

Are you driven by the desire to design programmes that genuinely foster connections and enhance wellbeing?

We're searching for a visionary and creative Volunteer Programme Design & Development Lead to join our growing team – and that could be you!!!

Imagine being the architect of the very programmes that bring people together, designing the activities and curricula that directly combat isolation across London and beyond. As this vital volunteer, you won't just be planning events; you'll be developing the core content and structure that makes SUNSHINE's offerings truly transformative and impactful.

This role is about translating our mission into tangible, engaging experiences. You'll work closely with our founding team to research best practices in community engagement, loneliness prevention, and wellbeing. You'll then design and develop the frameworks for our activities, workshops, and ongoing programmes, ensuring they are accessible, inclusive, and deeply resonant with the needs of diverse London communities. Your expertise will directly translate into the effectiveness and reach of SUNSHINE's work, creating meaningful connections that transform lives.

We're looking for an individual with proven experience in programme design, curriculum development, educational content creation, or community project planning. You'll have a keen understanding of adult learning principles, a talent for creating engaging content, and a genuine passion for our cause. Your creativity and structured approach will be invaluable in helping SUNSHINE light up London and ensure our programmes truly make a difference.

Join us. Design the connections. Build SUNSHINE.

Together, we can bring the SUNSHINE that lights up London and ensure loneliness becomes a forgotten word.

Ready to help us design a more connected and joyful London?

Apply now to become SUNSHINE's founding Programme Design & Development Lead and help us transform lives across London.
