About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Website Designer to help us transition our current website onto the Hostinger website builder platform and significantly enhance its visibility through effective SEO strategies. This role is ideal for someone with experience in web design who would like to support a thriving community arts organisation and contribute to increasing our reach and impact.

You’ll work both independently and collaboratively with our team, ensuring the website aligns visually and strategically with our brand, communications, and accessibility goals.

We will consider applicants who wish to hold a temporary position (12 weeks minimum).

Key Responsibilities:

• Rebuild and restructure our existing website using the Hostinger website builder

• Improve site navigation, layout, page structure, and user experience

• Optimise all pages for SEO performance, including keywords, metadata, and search visibility

• Ensure mobile optimisation and fast loading performance

• Integrate analytics tools to monitor site traffic and user engagement

• Coordinate with our PR and social media teams so the site aligns with ongoing campaigns and messaging

• Provide basic training or guidance to team members on how to edit/update the site post-build

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with IONOS website building tools (or similar drag-and-drop platforms)

• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices

• Good eye for layout, typography, and visual consistency

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Interest in arts, culture, inclusivity, or community-driven organisations is a plus

Time Commitment:

• During the initial build/transition period: approx. 10–15 hours per week (negotiable)

• Once the site is established: potentially 2–4 hours a week for maintenance / updates

• Remote role — however applicants in the Southwest of England are welcome to be more involved in our activities if desired

4. Leaflet (business card size) – a pocket-sized introduction to SUNSHINE.

5. Info and Motion Graphics – to promote SUNSHINE, tell our story and explain our impact in engaging ways.

6. Brochures – highlighting our mission, programmes, and community stories.

7. Fundraising Drive Promotionals – vibrant campaigns to inspire giving.

For our service users—older adults, people with disabilities, and those isolated by lack of mobility—our community transport is a lifeline. Health Sector: A background in the NHS, public health, or health commissioning, with an understanding of community-based care models, patient pathways, and funding streams.

Social Care: Experience in adult social care, either as a professional, service user, or carer, with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable adults and the social care landscape in Waltham Forest.

About The Club

Support United (Support Utd) is a fun, social football club that meets weekly in Reading. The club is designed to give people within the LGBTQIA+ community the opportunity to play football in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment. Our focus is on enjoyment, learning, and building confidence — no matter your experience level. Sessions are open to adults aged 18+ and welcome players of all abilities.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Volunteer Assistant Football Coach to support the running of our weekly sessions. You’ll work alongside the lead coach to help deliver inclusive, enjoyable football sessions for a group of around 10–12 players (with potential to grow in future).

This role would be ideal for someone with an interest in coaching or sport, particularly those studying sports science, coaching, physical education, or a related subject. It would also be perfect for someone who is a part of, or a strong ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the lead coach during weekly football sessions

• Assisting with session set-up and pack-down

• Helping to deliver drills, activities, and small-sided games

• Supporting basic club management tasks, such as:

  • Communicating with players

  • Assisting with attendance and session organisation

About You

Essential:

• Applicants must be over the age of 18

• An interest in sport and physical activity, particularly football

• Able to participate in light to moderate physical exercise

Key responsibilities

Student Minds Trustees are expected to commit to the following: 

• Preparation and attendance at four board meetings a year. Board meetings are held online and take place on weekdays from 5 - 7.30 pm. 

• Preparation and attendance at two board away days each year, usually from 12.30 - 5 pm. Board away days are in person and usually take place in Leeds. Travel expenses can be claimed.

• Ad-hoc meetings and conversations with the senior management team as required. This usually constitutes approximately a further five working days a year.

If appointed, you will receive the training and onboarding you need to be a confident, contributing member of the board. We are also able to provide you with a board buddy to support you in your first few months.

Volunteers Facilitators for elop’s Training & Education Service
elop’s Training and Education Service delivers workshops; training programmes; and consultancy to professionals and organisations working with the LGBT+ community. As a specialist in LGBT+ Mental Health and Wellbeing, we want to raise awareness of the challenges faced by our community and help organisations become more LGBT+ inclusive and affirmative. Our training programmes get people talking, thinking and planning for change that makes a real difference to LGBT+ people’s lives.
All our volunteer facilitators must positively identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and/ or trans (Schedule
9, Part 1, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010 applies).
We are looking to better represent the diversity of our community and actively encourage
 applications from people that identify as male, trans/ non-binary and/or from Black Asian and
Minority Ethnic Groups.

Training Facilitator Volunteer Role Description
By joining the Training & Education Team you will have the opportunity to:
• Facilitate and co-facilitate workshops and training programmes to a range of external
organisations, including schools
• Design and deliver learning activities and presentations, both online and in-person

• Be given relevant training and supervision to ensure your development

• understand the impact of discrimination and stigma on mental health

Fine Cell Work (FCW) is a UK-based rehabilitation charity and social enterprise. We are supported by an incredible team of prison volunteers who are the link between the charity and the stitchers we work with in prison. Our volunteers run fortnightly stitching groups in the prisons we work with to facilitate our stitchers’ production of high-quality needlework.

Our prison volunteers work in small teams to teach our stitchers’ embroidery and needlepoint, organise their group sessions, and liaise with the prison and FCW office.

What you will do as a prison volunteer:

• Teach people in prison how to stitch and support the completion of our premade kits in our cell groups, which consist of around 10-15 stitchers.
• Communicate with staff at our hub in Battersea to receive kits and supplies for your group and send back completed work for your stitchers to be paid.
• Encourage and help stitchers to complete our Open College Network certifications in creative needlework.
• Develop stitchers’ skills and confidence by encouraging them to take responsibility as peer mentors.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity and sharing our vision and values throughout your volunteering.

Who we are looking for:

• Skills in embroidery and/or needlepoint or a willingness to learn to stitch is essential for this role.
• Ideally some teaching experience or experience working with socially-excluded groups.
• Someone with a non-judgemental attitude and commitment to rehabilitation.
• Someone who is an excellent team worker.
• Someone who is good at observing personal boundaries.

Commitment: our stitching groups run for 2 hours every fortnight, so with travel time and some admin work after groups we ask prison volunteers to set aside a morning or afternoon every 2 weeks.

You must be over 18 for this role with the ability to travel to the prison. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by the charity.
