JOB TITLE: Digital Communications Officer

JOB FUNCTION: Supporting the delivery of Chelsea FC Foundation’s communications strategy, by coordinating a variety of compelling internal and external digital communications activity, in relation to Chelsea FC Foundation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading on the creation of high-quality written communications, including website copy, which highlight the impact of Chelsea FC Foundation’s work across internal and external channels.

The role
Foxglove is seeking a Digital Campaigner to deliver our digital campaigning, our digital communications, our social media and our website. This role would sit within our advocacy and communications team, which works towards stronger accountability for Big Tech, and an end to states’ misuse of algorithms and AI.
We want people in power to put an end to tech abuses that negatively impact our lives. But we’re up against an army of Big Tech lobbyists, working to shield their industry – and its vast profits – from any form of restraint. That’s why we need to ensure that the public, and our representatives in government and politics, are armed with the facts and knowledge they need to stand up to Big Tech billionaires.
We’re looking for someone with significant experience in digital campaigning. The Digital Campaigner will not only identify these areas but act to implement the strategy they help devise – taking a hands-on and energetic approach.
As part of a small and flexible team, you will also be expected to contribute to our wider areas of work as needed, across communications, advocacy and supporter campaigns.
Job Description
Digital campaigns
- Develop and lead digital campaign strategies that support Foxglove’s litigation and advocacy work, translating our cases and work into compelling public-facing campaigns.
- Design and deliver end-to-end digital campaign activations – including email campaigns, petitions, actions, donation drives and supporter journeys – using Foxglove’s CRM and campaign tools.
- Identify campaign moments and news hooks and move quickly to mobilise supporters and generate public pressure at critical points in Foxglove’s cases.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, using data and analytics to learn and improve tactics over time.
- Work closely with Foxglove’s legal and advocacy teams to ensure digital campaigns are timely, accurate, and strategically aligned.
- Contribute to the development of Foxglove’s overall digital strategy, bringing expertise in best practice in digital campaigning.
Supporter engagement
- Grow and steward Foxglove’s supporter base, reaching new audiences and fostering relationships with existing supporters.

The PR and Communications Officer will play a supporting role in raising awareness of the Charity, working to identify compelling stories and activities to promote to regional and national media. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head of Communications has responsibility for Ubele’s internal and external communications and digital activities in support of our strategic aims as well as oversight of communications across special projects. Central to the Head of Communications’ role is responsibility for:
- Leading on delivery of Ubele’s Communications Strategy, public and internal communications with key audiences and stakeholders via various channels, especially Ubele’s website, email communications, social media and printed materials. With support where needed, leading the delivery of a small number of annual and special events, working alongside colleagues and partners.
- A crucial part of the role is working successfully with external partners, special projects comms teams, contractors and consultants to deliver on our communications objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Responsibilities/duties:
- Oversight of all external communications activity relating to the work of the organisation, including websites, email newsletters and social media.
- Oversight and management of the Creative Coordinator to effectively boost engagement and grow the organisation's social media channels.

Purpose of the Job
The Head of Comms and External Affairs will lead our narrative and steward our reputation at critical moment, following the merger of FareShare and The Felix Project to form the new Felix brand. The role will set the strategy and operating rhythm for a team of seven across media relations, internal communications and public affairs, ensuring Felix speaks with one clear, trusted and influential voice.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications and working alongside the Head of Brand Marketing who leads brand marketing and digital communication, the postholder will protect and build Felix's reputation, shape national and sector conversations on food redistribution, food waste and food insecurity, and help position Felix as a leading partner in the national endeavour to triple food redistribution in the UK.
The role will provide senior counsel to the CEO, Executive Team, trustees and senior leaders; lead high-quality media, stakeholder and parliamentary engagement; and ensure internal communications support colleagues, volunteers and partners through integration, change and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set and lead an integrated external affairs strategy for Felix, aligned to organisational strategy, the post-merger integration plan, the refreshed brand and the national programme to expand food redistribution.
- Lead, develop and empower a multidisciplinary team of seven across media relations, internal communications and public affairs, directly managing three discipline leads and building clear priorities, standards and ways of working.
- Lead Felix's media relations and reputation management, securing proactive national, regional and sector coverage, overseeing reactive press office activity, preparing spokespeople, managing issues and crisis communications and working closely with the digital marketing team.

Hybrid Working: This role is eligible for hybrid working. You will be required to work from the Teddington Tearfund office at least 1 day a week with the option to work remotely on other days.
Contract details: This is a 10 month fixed term contract, working 28 hrs (4 days) per week. The full time salary is £41,186 per annum and the part time salary is £32,948 per annum.
