Reporting to the Charity’s Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will support the Fundraising team to deliver outstanding print and digital donor communication to maximise fundraising income, leading marketing campaigns planning for key areas of work including legacies and appeals.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of communications using the existing channels and develop new and innovative ways of engaging and communicating with Charity supporters, both digitally and in print. You will have an in-depth knowledge on how to plan, build, deliver and measure digital communications activity (internal and external) with a creative flair that brings content to life.
An excellent team player with a flexible approach, you’ll need to work seamlessly with colleagues in NBT’s Central Communications team to oversee the provision of accurate and relevant information about the Charity to supporters, ensuring the Charity’s messaging complements and enhances that of the Trust.
Working as part of an ambitious and dynamic team, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude and a passion for making a difference to patient care locally. And that's not all. You'll liaise with the press and media, cultivating relationships to amplify our fundraising stories both reactively and proactively.
Utilising your creativity, you will produce engaging written content for a variety of audiences and make use of audio and video platforms to share our messages further.
Plus, you'll collaborate closely with our Marketing team to identify and maximise opportunities to promote our core messages and plans around our fundraising activities at relevant Association-led and partner events.
Hybrid Working Expectations: No minimum requirement for weekly office attendance. However, flexibility to attend in-person meetings is essential.

Blue Marine Foundation is seeking an experienced and reliable Communications Officer to join the busy communications and outreach department of an ambitious and dynamic ocean conservation charity whose mission is to restore the ocean to health. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact in leading communications for the Solent Seascape Project : a five-year, multi-million-pound conservation project delivered by a partnership of ten organisations. The project aims to reconnect the Solent into a functioning seascape by improving the condition, extent, and connectivity of key marine and coastal habitats using protection and restoration initiatives. The role requires someone who can input and deliver the projects communications strategy, with a view to significantly increasing engagement and reach of the project.

In this varied position, you’ll lead our communications team and play a key role in raising awareness of our work to advance the quality of veterinary care for the benefit of animals, the public and society.
You will be a great communications all-rounder, with a deep understanding of what makes engaging content and experience of increasing reach and engagement through powerful story-telling and creative digital marketing campaigns. With a website re-development on the horizon, you will be comfortable leading the management of digital agencies and excited about the opportunity to make a step-change in our digital presence.
You will have a good track record of managing people, with the ability to bring together and develop a team of multi-skilled communications and digital professionals to deliver stand-out communications and marketing campaigns. As a member of our senior team, you’ll contribute to strategic discussions that shape the broader development of the charity, as well as being responsible for monitoring and achieving team targets and preparing reports for our board. You’ll also play an important role in using effective communications and marketing to drive fund-raising and other forms of income generation.
Working as part of a dynamic organisation of about 20 people, you’ll need to flex seamlessly from developing the strategic big picture to rolling up your sleeves to help deliver content, digital resources, and campaigns. While experience of the veterinary sector or human healthcare gives you a head start, it’s not a requirement and we’d love to receive applications from people completely new to the sector – most important is a commitment to learn rapidly about the veterinary professions and to develop a good understanding of different stakeholder needs.

The events will cover the following themes: saving and sharing energy, insulation, solar and batteries, renewable heat, funding energy efficiency measures, creating healthy and mould-free homes etc.

- Work in collaboration with the ESC team and stakeholders to design a programme of inspiring energy and climate themed events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne, and Wealden, reaching a total of 1000 residents across the year.
- Create engagement opportunities for your team at the events and activities of other organisations and local groups by networking and working with the Communications and Marketing person to promote our services.
- Find interesting speakers and organisations to participate in our events.
- Create public events for our No One Left Behind project, finding new, exciting ways to engage the public in conversation about energy and climate topics.
- Manage the administration and logistics of the events, including room bookings, ticket booking processes, etc.
- Look for opportunities to invite our funder along to events and participate in the activities.
- Manage relationships with staff team and volunteer Energy Champions on local events.
- Create event plans and risk assessments for each event.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer and local volunteers to plan PR and promotion of events to agreed timelines.
