We are looking for a confident, proactive individual who enjoys teamwork and has some experience of working in a library or is interested in pursuing a career as a librarian to join our Collections team as a part-time Library Assistant.
Experience of working in a customer-facing office environment is highly desirable. An interest in geography and cartography would be advantageous.
The Library Assistant will be line managed by the Principal Librarian and work closely with other members of the Collections team, which includes the Deputy Librarian, the Cartographical Collections Manager, the Assistant Librarian - Archives and Periodicals, and the Assistant Librarian - Photographs and Artworks.

You will demonstrate strong diary and email management abilities, accurate minute-taking for senior meetings, and proficiency across Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and remote communication tools such as Zoom and Teams. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with discretion in handling confidential information and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Experience in event coordination, document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive), and working in a fast-paced office environment is also required.
Desirably, the candidate may bring an interest in the screen sector, policy or education, experience with visual content tools like Canva, familiarity with AI tools, social media management, and the ability to provide basic tech troubleshooting. A calm, confident manner and experience working in a matrix environment would be advantageous.
This role is primarily office based (near Barbican) with 4 days a week in the office and 1 day a week from home. The core working hours are 9-5pm. Some very occasional evening or weekend working may be required but TOIL will be provided on those occasions.

• Maintaining our training systems including allocating courses, adding new hires and removing leavers and running reports as required
• Support the Head of HR to ensure that employee health and safety and workstation tests are up to date
• Act as a Health and Safety Officer and Fire Marshal for AKF (UK)
• Act as a AKF (UK) First Aider including obtaining annual certification
• Create and cultivate an office culture that contributes to the happiness and well-being of all employees, including arranging birthday celebrations, celebrating unit milestones, arranging quarterly and year-end activities, and creating a space and place employees enjoy working in and feel positive about

• Assist the finance officers with the company credit card processes

• Liaise with internal IT support as necessary to trouble-shoot issues and order equipment

• Cover the PA to the CEO and Office Administrator’s workload during periods of sickness or annual leave
• Undertake tour guide training so that visiting delegates and VIPs can be shown around the Aga Khan Centre and its internal Islamic gardens and courtyards.

About the Role
Sense is recruiting for a Supporter Services Assistant to join our fantastic Engagement Team in Kings Cross, London on a hybrid basis.
The successful applicant will play vital part in the Engagement Department and the charity as a whole – it makes sure that supporters have an outstanding experience of supporting Sense and know how much they are valued. Your daily task’s are varied with a mixture of in-and-outbound calling, combined with essential administrative tasks like income processing or capturing important information about Sense’s supporters and their motivations to support the charity.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
- Accurately processing fundraising income, including cheques and cash, vouchers (CAF, KKL) direct debits, payroll giving and from online donation platforms (Just Giving, Virgin Money Giving, Facebook) within agreed timescales and in line with provided procedures.
- Create or amend supporter records on Sense’s Raisers Edge database, ensuring that all interactions between charity and supporter etc are recorded accurately and in line with best practice GDPR.
- Identifying opportunities for supporters to further engage with Sense and promoting them as appropriate to help deliver Fundraising department targets (such as sharing a supporter story with our Comms team).
- Work with other fundraising teams to ensure relationships with supporters are managed effectively, both by responding to enquiries promptly and by working to the agreed supporter communications plan. There is also the expectation to attend other teams’ meetings i.e. Community, Events, Philanthropy to understand what activity is happening across the charity.
To succeed in this role, you will have:

Finance Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant with strong bookkeeping skills to join the central finance team of a growing international charity working at the intersection of cultural heritage and community development.
Position: Finance Assistant
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract: Fixed-term, 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Hours: Part-time (0.4 FTE / 15 hours per week – must be available on Mondays)

About the Role
Working as part of the charity’s central finance team, the Finance Assistant will help ensure the integrity of financial records and play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely bookkeeping for the UK.
You will be responsible for recording and reconciling transactions, processing invoices and payments, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with audit schedules. This is a highly detail-oriented role, requiring excellent accuracy, organisation, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Recording USD and GBP bank, MoneyCorp, and PayPal entries in QuickBooks
- Monthly reconciliation of all UK bank, MoneyCorp, and PayPal accounts
- Reviewing and processing supplier invoices and expense claims, including setting up payments
- Setting up multi-currency payments for international offices and maintaining creditors ledgers
- Maintaining UK debtors and creditors ledgers
- Recording and reconciling corporate credit card transactions
- Reconciling specified balance sheet accounts monthly
- Assisting with audit schedules and financial reporting
About You
The ideal candidate will be methodical, accurate, and proactive, with significant bookkeeping experience and strong QuickBooks skills. You will be comfortable working remotely, with excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage your workload effectively.
Key skills and experience required:
- Significant bookkeeping experience with excellent understanding of double entry
- Strong experience using QuickBooks
- Understanding of multi-currency accounting

Part time Personal Assistant- (28 hrs a week, Sustainability Charity, once a week into the London office)
The Organisation
Our client is a purpose-driven organisation that works at the forefront of responsible investment. The Role
An experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant is sought to provide proactive support to three members of the senior Leadership Team. This is a critical role that will enable the Directors to focus on strategic priorities by ensuring efficient and seamless operational support. The post-holder will be confident working across multiple diaries and systems and able to build trust quickly with colleagues and stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include diary and inbox management, meeting coordination, document drafting, travel arrangements and general executive support. The role will also involve acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling correspondence with discretion and professionalism. There will also be opportunities to support wider team operations and assist the Executive Assistant as needed.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will bring prior experience in a Personal Assistant role supporting multiple senior leaders. You will be highly organised, calm under pressure and adept at managing competing demands. Strong written and verbal communication skills, alongside excellent attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential matters, are essential.
You will be confident using Microsoft Office, diary and inbox management tools, and supporting hybrid meetings via platforms such as Zoom or Teams. The ability to work independently, use initiative, and demonstrate sound judgement is key. Experience in the non-profit or charity sector, and familiarity with tools like Salesforce or Cascade, would be advantageous but not essential.
