As an Assistant Roller Skate Coach, you will work alongside the Head Coach to assist in delivering roller skating sessions to participants of varying skill levels. This volunteer position offers an excellent opportunity to gain coaching experience and contribute to the development of our community-based programs. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist the Head Coach in delivering roller skating lessons to individuals and groups. 

• Support participants during practice sessions, helping with technique and safety. 

• Encourage and motivate participants to improve their roller skating skills. 

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during sessions. 

• Help with setup, breakdown, and maintaining the equipment. 

• Assist in the tracking of participant progress and provide constructive feedback. 

• Maintain a positive and supportive environment for all skaters. 

• Promote RollaDome All Skate’s mission and encourage community involvement. 

Skills & Qualifications 

• Passion for roller skating and enthusiasm for teaching others. 

• Previous experience in roller skating or coaching (desirable).

• Ability to support and motivate participants. 

• First aid qualification (desirable, but not essential).

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday to Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. The role

To provide effective leadership, the Finance & Audit Committee Chair must have a clear understanding of the committee’s duties and responsibilities; be able to commit the necessary time and be available on urgent financial matters.

The person

A key role within any charity, the Treasurer will play a vital role in ensuring we are compliant, responsible with our limited means and sustainable.  Our current Treasurer will remain in post in a shadowing capacity to build the successful candidate's knowledge and confidence. Candidates for this post should be able to commit up to 15 days a year to support the Senior Leadership Team & Chair of the board.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure effective governance of the Charity’s financial affairs including compliance with all legal requirements and maintaining an effective framework of internal controls

· Chair the Finance and Risk subcommittee

· Report to and advise the board on financial matters and risk management to ensure sound decision-making

· Support the senior leadership team on budgeting, management of reserves and investment policy

Board members also commit to joining at least one Board sub-committee, which typically meets quarterly. Currently, there are three such committees: Finance, Client Impact and People.

Remuneration

The role of Trustee is voluntary and not accompanied by any financial remuneration.

Reasonable expenses such as travel or childcare may be claimed, together with the costs of attending relevant training courses and the like.

Term of office

Normally, two three-year terms. The maximum is a total of three terms.

Key skills and experiences

• Extensive general legal experience – definitely including the law relating to UK registered charities and companies, ideally also including experience of entities operating internationally. 
• Commitment to Spring Impact’s mission and values and a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to the Trustee role.
• An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Trusteeship.
• A well-rounded understanding of the work of non-profit organisations, ideally gained through senior leadership roles in the sector.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to challenge and contribute to the work of the Board in a collegiate, constructive and supportive manner.
• Understanding of Spring Impact’s business model – charity consulting, scaling impact, etc.
