Position Summary:

As a Content Creator, you will play a vital role in visually narrating our journey, mission, and impact. You will be responsible for filming, photographing, editing, and producing engaging content for our website, social media, and marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Videography & Photography:

• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality videos and photos for digital platforms, events, and promotional materials.

• Capture key moments at Roots Academy campuses, events, and student experiences.

• Ensure all content aligns with Roots Academy’s brand identity, values, and messaging.

Editing & Production:

• Edit videos and images using professional software

• Add graphics, animations, subtitles, and effects to enhance storytelling.

• Maintain a consistent visual style across all platforms.

Content Strategy & Social Media:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging visual content for social media, website, and digital campaigns.

• Stay up-to-date with content trends, video styles, and social media best practices.

• Suggest creative ideas for short-form (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) and long-form video content.

Project Management:

• Organize and manage content shoots, including scheduling, locations, and logistics.

• Maintain and manage photography and videography equipment, ensuring quality and readiness.

Preferred Experience:

• Marketing & Branding

  • Some experience in digital marketing, social media, or event promotion.

  • Basic knowledge of social media management, and content creation.

• Experience with Muslim Student Associations (MSAs) or Islamic Societies (ISOCs) as a member, volunteer, or organizer.

• Comfortable engaging with Muslim communities and student networks.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences, from students to community leaders.

Volunteer your time at Hestia to make our gardens a beautiful place for our service users to enjoy all year through! Are you green fingered and have a passion for gardens and outdoor spaces?

At Hestia we have gardens and outdoor spaces which require your support to bring these back to life by keeping them maintained. We are recruiting for volunteers to motivate and inspire staff and people living in our services to get involved in gardening. We work with people who need support with their mental health across London and the South East. Our support ranges from registered accommodation services for people with severe mental health conditions to drop-in community and crisis services.

In the last year, 9,499 adults accessed Hestia’s mental health support.

We help people to feel safe, develop hope for a better future, and achieve their personal goals. These goals may include rebuilding relationships with family members and friends or connecting more with their local community.

What you will be doing

• Inspire and motivate staff and people in the services to get involved in maintaining and growing the garden
• To provide tips on how to maintain and grow the garden - sowing seeds, planting bulbs, taking cuttings
• Provide basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking
• Lead in planting and nurturing new trees, flowers, and various plants
• Provide best practice on how to use the correct gardening tools
• Inspire people in our services and staff to maintain a clean garden
• Advise staff on the costs of plants and garden necessities

The skills you need

• A basic knowledge/ experience of plant care and use of gardening tools7

We are looking to recruit a Group Coordinator for our Braintree group. As our local Group Coordinator you’ll take the lead in making sure your local group works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct and support other group volunteers to make sure your group’s activities meet the needs of your local MS community. In this role you’ll be able to develop your leadership, management, communication, organisation and motivation skills.

In this role you’ll be able to develop your organisation, communication, administration and negotiation skills.

Based in Oxfordshire, ASIOX is uniquely placed to offer bespoke support to survivors of modern slavery and human exploitation across Oxfordshire and the wider Thames Valley. We continue to deliver on our stated mission to raise awareness and equip individuals in identifying exploitation and to foster the restoration process of survivors.

What will you be doing?

As a Charity Trustee with fundraising expertise, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic direction to our fundraising efforts. This position is a voluntary Trustee role, requiring a passionate and dedicated individual with experience in fundraising, and a genuine commitment to the values and objectives of our organisation. 

We are seeking to strengthen our Board by appointing a new Trustee with dedicated expertise in fundraising to help guide our efforts to diversify our funding base so that we have the resources to fully deliver our strategic objectives. As Fundraising Trustee, your role will NOT be to complete grant applications but rather to support the Executive Director and our external grants writing consultant in achieving our objectives.

Time commitment:

Overall, we estimate your ASIOX responsibilities may require one-two hours per week of your time.

· Proven expertise in fundraising in the charity/NGO sectors, with a successful track record of achieving fundraising targets.

· Expertise and/or knowledge of major donor giving, including successful organisation of fundraising and cultivation events and other interactions with donors.

· Experience in designing and delivering effective fundraising strategies for charities 

· Vision and an ability to think creatively. 

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service brings children’s centres, health visiting and school nursing together, to provide a more joined-up service for children, young people, and their families.

The centres deliver a range of support groups and activities for children and their families to help them be healthy, grow and develop. To make it easy for families to fit sessions and services around their busy lives, access is available from any Hertfordshire Family centre. We have locations across the entire county so please do enquire ensuring you have provided your postcode. 

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities/ Activities

To support Public Health Nursing teams by helping parents use baby weighing equipment in a welcoming and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Welcome parents, carers, and babies to the self-weigh session in a friendly and approachable way.

· Explain how to use the weighing equipment safely and accurately (training provided).

· Support parents to record their baby’s weight on growth charts or apps as appropriate.

· Ensure the weighing area is safe, clean, and ready for families to use.

· Provide reassurance and encouragement to parents and carers.

· Signpost any questions or concerns about a baby’s health or development to a Family Centre staff member

Skills / Abilities / Experience / Qualities

· Friendly, patient, and approachable.

· Good communication and listening skills.

· Confident in supporting parents to use simple equipment (training given).

· Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

· Respectful and non-judgemental towards all families.

Training / Support

· A full induction to the service and specific site will be provided.

· Requirement to undertake One YMCA online training courses

· To understand and implement One YMCA’s policies.

· Ongoing support and regular 1:1 meetings

· Access to organisational events throughout the year including Socials, Conferences and Training opportunities.

The role would involve giving advice to clients both face-to-face and over the telephone.

Main duties and responsibilities may include:

Applicants should be IT competent and able to commit to two sessions per week for at least two years.

Training will be held over a full day – probably a Wednesday – each week starting in October 2025. There will be additional training time when new recruits can observe experienced advisers.

There will be opportunities to help out for a few sessions prior to training starting so that applicants can check the role is right for them.
