What we do
IA offers peer-to-peer support to those with, or about to have, either an ileostomy or an internal pouch. We also help fund research into bowel disease and other conditions leading to the removal of the colon, as well as providing relevant information to interested parties using a range of channels.
Our strapline, “Because we know, we care”, sums up our whole ethos. Individuals can join either their local IA member organisation, or the IA national charity, and in either case, gain access to a range of services and support, including our flagship quarterly Journal, local and national meetings and information events, and other services such as our One2One peer support and Support Through Therapy services.

What we offer
Contract: Part time 60% FTE – flexible over 3-5 days, permanent role.
Location: Remote (with regular travel to National Office (Rochford, Essex) and other UK locations, as required)
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 equivalent FT (pro-rata 60%), commensurate with experience plus benefits

Programme Coordinator
We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to support high-impact projects that enable finance play a meaningful role in building a fairer, greener and more resilient economy.
Salary: £34,000–£43,000pa DOE
Location: Central London (hybrid: 60% office / 40% home)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
As Programme Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering the Impact Investing Organisation’s innovative programmes, helping to create practical solutions that enable private capital to address major societal challenges. Working with colleagues across the organisation and a wide range of external partners, you’ll support activities spanning research, stakeholder engagement, project coordination and thought leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordinating meetings, workshops, roundtables and events, including logistics, materials, agendas and follow up.
- Supporting and developing relationships with stakeholders across financial services, government, business and civil society.
- Contributing ideas and supporting constructive discussions during engagements.
- Assisting communications and engagement activity, including social media, campaigns and sector advocacy.
- Producing clear and well structured written materials such as briefings, presentations, articles and fundraising proposals.
- Conducting desk research and supporting stakeholder engagement to inform research and programme design.
- Tracking project deliverables, risks, milestones and KPIs, helping to ensure effective and timely delivery.
- Supporting internal processes, systems improvements and team wide initiatives.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings curiosity, strong communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach. You will have experience contributing to projects and working with stakeholders, as well as producing high quality written materials for varied audiences. You will be comfortable managing multiple tasks, adaptable to changing priorities and confident taking initiative with the right support.
Digital literacy (e.g. Microsoft 365), strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to the belief that finance can drive positive social impact are essential.
Experience in investment, financial services, social impact, policy or related fields is welcome but not required.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you'll have:
• Microsoft certified Azure Databricks engineer and knowledge of Databricks Unity Catalogue with proven experience building and maintaining scalable Data Lakehouse pipelines.
• Strong programming experience across SQL, Python, R, Java and Scala, with excellent problem solving skills and experience investigating issues and delivering high quality data solutions using Git/GitHub best practices.
• Hands on experience in data modelling, data warehousing and ETL processes, with a solid track record of integrating, transforming and orchestrating data from a wide range of internal and external sources.
• A proactive, self starting approach to producing new data pipelines, ensuring data is well organised, high quality and readily accessible for data scientists.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, confident in simplifying complex issues and delivering clear, structured outcomes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to build strong working relationships with the Health Insights team and wider stakeholders with commitment to continuous improvement.
• Effective time management skills with previous experience balancing multiple priorities and managing out ambiguity, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills enabling to deliver results to deadlines.
• A positive can-do attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
