What your role will involve

Bring your organisational skills and event management experience to support us to our aims of promoting green spaces in Greater London and making London a better, greener and healthier place for everyone to live in, work in and enjoy.

CPRE London’s events schedule​ (see website) is growing fast and, with more and more people attending, we now need someone to assist with the management. The role will be to help organise and manage all aspects of our online and occasional in-person events.

We are currently seeking individuals with event management skills and with a passion for environmental conservation to join our team. The role needs 3-4 hours of your time per week with the flexibility to be able to attend online events, especially the lunchtime webinars online, (usually 3rd Thursday of the month); occasional evening in-person meetings (possibly 2 or 3 times a year). Ideally our volunteers will be able to offer a commitment of 6 months or more.

An events volunteer will help CPRE with the work involving multiple events, including the "Urban Tree Festival" and "London Rivers Week". Successful candidates will get the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and interesting events across summer months.

Who are we?

At CPRE London we campaign to save and promote green spaces in Greater London and make London a better, greener and healthier place for everyone to live in, work in and enjoy.

We are part of the national network of CPRE, the countryside charity. 

What will you be doing?

• Supporting event design to help the public engage with the importance and value of London's trees and rivers and potentially be inspired to get involved in green volunteering
• Developing systems and arrangements to help things run smoothly
• Supporting monitoring event impact / gathering feedback from participants
• Events follow-up to help maximise event legacy 

What are we looking for?

• Excellent organisational skills
• Some prior events organisation experience (may be voluntary) 
• Experience using Eventbrite.
• Strong communication skills
• Creative thinking and problem-solving attitude
• Knowledge of and a keen interest in environmental issues
• A self motivated person who can work independently and drives initiatives
• Have access to a computer and the internet at home and be confident using them
• 3-4 hours per week with a 6 month+ commitment.

About White Ribbon Alliance UK

White Ribbon Alliance UK is an intersectional feminist charity working to end gender-based violence and advance gender equity in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). We focus especially on marginalised and underrepresented communities.

We enable access to unbiased, evidence-based education, resources, and support for women, girls, and trans individuals. Our work influences healthcare professionals, hospital systems, policy makers, and the wider public to centre the human rights of women, girls, trans men, intersex, and non-binary people throughout the lifecycle of their sexual health needs.

We do this through research, community-led advocacy, training, and systems change. All of our programmes and campaigns are grounded in intersectional feminist values and led by lived experience.

About the Role

We’re launching a focused, short-term project to clear a critical backlog of internal admin and system updates—and we need a small team of skilled volunteers to make it happen.

This is a time-limited support project to help the charity reorganise, document, and streamline the core internal tools that underpin our delivery of training, advocacy, fundraising, and strategy. You’ll be working directly with the Movement Director to tackle key operational issues: outdated records, scattered files, undocumented workflows, and missing policy processes.

It’s not flashy work—but it’s mission critical. Completing this project will allow us to scale up our training programme, strengthen our policy influence, and stay accountable to funders, partners, and the people we serve.

We’re asking for a commitment of at least 4 hours per week for up to 3 months. After this project, volunteers will have the option to continue with us in new roles—whether in research, advocacy, creative campaigns, or ongoing admin support.

What You’ll Be Doing

This project is made up of clearly defined task areas. You’ll be assigned responsibilities based on your capacity and strengths.

• Audit and reorganise SharePoint folders
• Archive outdated documents
• Apply consistent naming and tagging conventions

Internal Policy and Process Coordination

• Create a policy and process update calendar
• Track policy owners and revision cycles
• Support publication of updated documents

Training Programme Process Documentation

• Document the enrolment, delivery, and follow-up processes for our training programme
• Centralise training tools, templates, and schedules
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in how training is currently managed

Internal Volunteer & Admin Tracking

• Update internal volunteer lists (onboarding status, skills, roles)
• Maintain task logs and assignment sheets
• Format internal templates and reference materials

Survey & Data Cleanup

• Clean and cross-check training attendance records
• Format and summarise post-course feedback
• Organise survey responses into usable formats

Systems Improvement & Gap Analysis

• Spot inefficiencies or missing documentation
• Suggest and implement low-cost improvements
• Create checklists, flowcharts, or simple dashboards if relevant

The Diana Award are thrilled to invite you to volunteer for our Mentoring Programme this Autumn 2025, which operate across London. 

We collaborate with volunteer mentors to support young people aged 14-18 who are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) through mentoring interventions, career skills development programmes, and support with their youth-led social action projects. 

WHO CAN VOLUNTEER AS A MENTOR? 

We welcome applicants of all industries and levels of experience. Through mentoring you will gain skills in communication and leadership, building empathy and understanding of issues and barriers facing young people in their communities. 

OUR MENTORING PROGRAMMES  

We will be running our exciting Twelve-week Mentoring Programme from October 2025 - February 2026, across London, in the boroughs of Enfield, Tower Hamlets and Sutton. 

The programme will involve: 

• Twelve weeks of in-person weekly mentoring sessions that last one hour (excluding travel) and are delivered on the same day and time each week. 

• Group mentoring, where a group of volunteer mentors work together to support a group of mentees, with the help of a Diana Award Facilitator. 

• Volunteer mentors will share advice and guidance with young people who are at risk of becoming NEET.

We will train you to mentor and provide ongoing support for the duration of your programme. 

The Diana Award can provide you with a professional reference, paid for DBS check, and refund your travel expenses in exchange for your voluntary work. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Requirements 

• A minimum of 18-years-old.

• Willing to complete a DBS Check (paid for by The Diana Award).

• Willing to provide contact details for two referees.

• Has the right to work and volunteer in the UK. 

• Able to attend a three-hour in-person mentor training session. 

• Able to commit to weekly face-to-face sessions. 

• Lives or works in London.

Skills 

• Passion for working with young people. 

• Has developed or willing to develop active listening skills. 

• Ability to see solutions and opportunities when working with people or in a group setting. 

• Ability to show resilience when faced with challenging situations or behaviours. 

Experience / Knowledge 

• Has work experience, this can be professional, from previous volunteering, or social action initiatives. 

• Has developed or willing to develop experience of picking, planning, and delivering a social action campaign. 

Optional Experience / Knowledge 

• Has prior experience working with young people. 

• Has experience in organising grassroots activism. 

• Has experience or knowledge in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). 

• Has experience or knowledge in Widening Participation. 

• Has experience in project management. 

Responsibilities

• Commit to weekly sessions for twelve weeks, demonstrating consistency and punctuality. Mentoring Programme sessions last 60 to 90 minutes (excluding travel time). Follow through is key when working with young people at risk of becoming NEET. 

• Collaborate with a Diana Award Facilitator and other volunteer mentors to deliver and support group mentoring sessions within a school setting. 

• Review session plans and prepare for weekly sessions. Communicate weekly and in a timely manner with other volunteer mentors and a Diana Award Facilitator. 

• Create a safe and positive learning environment and provide young people with encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback. 

• Nurture positive relationships with young people. Listen, understand, and acknowledge their feelings and experiences. 

• Support young people to plan a social action project. 

• Foster a growth mindset and encourage young people to challenge themselves to work towards their goals. 

• Support young people’s professional development by connecting them with further opportunities. For example, workplace visits, work experience, resources, relevant networks etc. 

• Identify and report any safeguarding and child protection concerns or disclosures to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, as per The Diana Award Safeguarding Policy. 

OUR CHARITY

About Us

Nugent are a North West based health and social care charity, based predominantly in the Liverpool City region, offering a diverse range of support for adults and children. Our children’s provisions include residential homes, a secure facility, a step-down home and SEMH School. Our adult’s provisions include dispersed homelessness accommodation, floating support provided in the community and supported living provided at home. We also provide adult residential homes including a specialist acquired brain injury, a home for those living with dementia, and a home supporting Mental Health needs. We also offer adoption support services working in partnership with local authorities across the UK.

To reach communities beyond these provisions we have established an initiative called Our Future Now, which actively engages in a range of fundraising and community-based activities. These efforts support wider unmet needs across the Liverpool City Region and beyond.

As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of the charity, ensuring good governance and overseeing the effective use of resources. You will work with fellow trustees and senior staff to support our mission, challenge constructively, and bring your insight and experience to the table.

Are you an organised, proactive individual passionate about supporting meaningful community work? We're looking for a Volunteer Project Manager to lead our Jumping Beans Team—a child-focused initiative supporting local families through engaging programmes and activities.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage the Jumping Beans Team to deliver projects on time and effectively

• Coordinate and chair weekly Tuesday evening team meetings

• Track team tasks, monitor project progress, and ensure timelines are met

• Regularly report progress to the leadership team

• Collaborate across departments to align goals and resources

• Occasionally attend in-person meetings (if possible)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous project management or team leadership experience (paid or voluntary)

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Experience working with or supporting children or families is a plus

You would be joining our International Board at an exciting time, as we implement our new strategy, build on our campaigns and broaden our advocacy to mobilise greater support and achieve change. Our vision is a world in which children and families everywhere have access to the support they need to survive and thrive. Our mission is to make that happen through research, knowledge exchange, campaigning and humanitarian responses. Our model is based on local leadership at all levels and we are committed to a journey to decolonise the way we work. We are registered as a charity under the Charity Commission for England and Wales and have two subsidiaries registered in New Zealand and in the US. 

Our Board is unique in comprising Trustees from national member CSOs alongside co-opted Trustees. Our Board receives guidance on strategy from our General Assembly made up of all our members. This means that our Board and governance processes are truly representative of our democratic principles.

Experience in complying with the Charity Commission for England and Wales or similar bodies’ regulations is desirable.

• Understanding of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of Trustees of a UK charity. 
• Acceptance of these duties, responsibilities and liabilities, and a commitment to operate within them.
• Interest in local and/or international not for profit sectors
• Good independent judgement and the ability to operate at a strategic level
• An ability and willingness to work as a part of a team and to support the staff team.
• Understanding and empathy with Family for Every Child’s vision, mission, values and beliefs.

Our shops are at the heart of local communities – sharing the work of Sense, and helping to secure support for our life changing work.

What your role will involve

• Welcoming and assisting customers, providing great customer service and a fantastic shopping experience
• Receiving donated goods from members of the public
• Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale

• Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
• Processing sales and serving on the till
