The Role
As a Flyer Distributor you will play a crucial role in helping to raise awareness about our services and events within the Enfield community. You will be responsible for disseminating promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and event announcements to various locations within the Enfield area.
- Distribute promotional materials provided by Age UK Enfield to designated locations across the Enfield area. This may include community centers, libraries, local businesses, healthcare facilities, and other relevant locations.
- Engage with members of the public in a friendly and courteous manner while distributing flyers. Answer any questions they may have about Age UK Enfield's services and provide basic information about upcoming events or initiatives.
- Keep accurate records of the locations visited and the quantity of promotional materials distributed. Report back to the supervisor on to provide updates on distribution progress.
- Act as an ambassador for Age UK Enfield by promoting the organisation's mission, values, and services to the community. Help to increase brand recognition and visibility within the local area.
General Key Skills:
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Comfortable with walking and standing for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Maintaining professionalism and addressing public inquiries effectively.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Time Commitment
2-4 hours Between 10 am - 2 pm (there are other volunteer opportunities available)
Requirements
A DBS Enhanced check will be required. Training to be provided around safeguarding.

Richmond Arts Service offers a range of events and festivals throughout the year as part of its diverse programme, including the Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival and the Christmas Shopping Weekend at Orleans House Gallery. Volunteers help support these events through a variety of responsibilities, ensuring their success.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Providing a warm welcome when engaging with participants, providing information and signposting
- Checking in participants against booking details

- Travelling to a variety of venues across Richmond borough

- Informing attendees of event terms and conditions and room use requirements

Training and Support
We will provide training and an induction which covers all aspects of the role. On-going support and supervision will be provided by staff throughout your time with us. Additionally, there are regular training sessions to supplement and further your initial training, as well as a varied programme of volunteer events and activities to join in, meet people and learn something new!

Availability

Expenses
We will cover travel expenses up to £14 per day.

Growth Manager
We are looking for someone who is inspired my our mission, able to commit a day or two a week for the foreseeable future.
As a Growth Manager you will take the lead in expanding our reach and impact, through identifying new funding opportunities, applying for grants, developing partnerships, community engagement and increasing our financial resources.
You will have creative ideas about events we can run to gain followers and impact in the community.
There are plenty of other activities you could take the lead on as we grow, depending on your strengths, interests and capacity, such as recruiting additional volunteers.
Eventually, subject to funding, we want to occupy a space which will serve as a studio and collaborative space for local artists and makers. Your role could include researching available properties and securing a lease on one.
Ideally you will have some experience of fundraising in the non-profit sector and have close connections to the local community in Oxford. However, most important is an abundance of passion, energy and enthusiasm for circularity and making a positive impact in the community
Ability to meet in person once a week with the founder and other volunteers would be a distinct advantage.
This position is a volunteer position but if you are able to secure significant funding, some of it could be diverted towards paying for staff members in the longer term.

As the NHS and local authority services face a period of significant change, it's vital that people and the quality of care remain front and centre, and their voices and experiences are heard.
This is a voluntary, unremunerated role, although we do cover all reasonable expenses and applicable care costs.
Luminus is a Surrey-based Community Interest Company (CIC) which exists to make sure those voices are heard. We are now seeking new Non-Executive Directors to help guide the next stage of our growth. This is a great time to join a well-led and well-governed organisation, bringing your existing skills, or building your experience on a Board, as we offer a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere, mentorship and training - as well as the chance to make a real difference. In particular (but not exclusively), we welcome applicants who have experience of one or more of the following:
- growing a business;
- a network of contacts across Surrey and beyond who are potentially relevant to the wider business interests of Luminus; and/ or

Cornerstone Library in Churchtown, Southport : Trustee/Secretary Vacancy
The Board of the Cornerstone Library in Southport retain oversight across library functions, ranging from service provision, fundraising and community engagement to heath & safety and financial stability. The Cornerstone Library is looking to recruit a Trustee to help promote the objectives of the Charity and fill the role of Secretary to the Board.
The role of Secretary to the Board combines the responsibilities of overseeing the Charity's overall governance as a Trustee with maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication between board members, including taking minutes at monthly meetings and managing official documentation.
We would benefit from the input of a Trustee who will complement the team of existing volunteers by bringing knowledge and expertise in, for example, IT, business, health & safety, event planning, web development or a legal background.

At Citizens Advice Sheffield, we have recently launched a new social media strategy and hope to reinvigorate our online presence and reach with the help of a social media volunteer.
Citizens Advice Sheffield is Sheffield’s leading provider of advice services and advocacy services. We help about 20,000 people a year with a range of issues. Our services are confidential, independent, impartial and free. We are an independent charity and a member of the Citizens Advice network and Law Centres Network.
Our social media aims to ensure that clients have up-to-date information about what services are available to them and how to access them; to engage with and promote ourselves to potential external stakeholders and partners; to promote our research and campaigns work and to help potential clients self-serve. To do this we share self-help resources, social policy campaigns, and community-interest content, job and volunteer vacancies and more.
We’re seeking volunteers who are self motivated, creative, aligned with our values and want the opportunity to build their social media campaigns portfolio; someone who understands social media platforms, trends and relevant software. Ideally, you will have experience of social media volunteering or management and will be able to help us in developing our online presence.
This is a flexible role and volunteers can be based at home after initial training at our city centre office. Some tasks will involve travel to our office and other outreach locations across Sheffield.

Across the UK, our 65 local branches help disabled people live the lives they choose. Our network of skilled volunteers respond to thousands of requests each year to design and make customised equipment free of charge.
As a Vice-Chair you’ll support your Chair or Coordinator in making sure your local branch works as effectively as possible.
You’ll bring your leadership, communication, organisation, and motivational skills to this role.
What the role involves
This is a varied role where local need shapes what you’ll be working on, but it can include:
• Supporting the Chair/Coordinator in organising branch activities, from setting up branch meetings to planning and completing referrals
• Helping the Chair/Coordinator oversee the recruitment, induction, and ongoing support of new volunteers
• Deputising for the Chair/Coordinator when necessary
• Acting as a key contact between staff and volunteers
What you’ll need for this role
Essential
• Confident in leading and chairing a meeting when required
• Confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email
• Willingness to attend local events to promote the charity’s work
• Ability to understand and follow external and internal policies and procedures
• Able to keep people’s personal details safe
• Willing to follow Remap policies and procedures – and a commitment to our values
Desirable
• Confident in communicating with different audiences, including decision-makers and volunteers
• Able to delegate and motivate the activities of others
• Enthusiastic about raising awareness of the charity’s work in the local area
• Willingness to develop skills and experience
You’ll also need to complete the induction checklist and reference check, and you may need a DBS check if you also have another client facing role.
