Over the past ten years, Smart Works has helped over 50,000 women, and last year alone we reached 10,600 women. It is our mission that any woman who needs our service should be able to find her way to a Smart Works centre.
In March 2025, Smart Works completed their Three-Year Plan that saw the charity double the number of women helped annually from 5,000 to 10,000 women a year. To achieve this, we grew our existing centres and opened a new centre.

About This Role
As the Community Partnerships Executive you will play a key role in delivering and defining Smart Works’ community fundraising portfolio. Reporting to the Events Manager, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the Events and Community Fundraising team, as well as Local Centre Fundraising Leads, to engage supporters, strengthen partnerships, and help achieve ambitious income targets.
You will help in the planning and delivery of our mass participation event, Step Up for Smart Works, ensuring it continues to grow in scale, impact, and engagement. Alongside this, you’ll oversee our calendar of sporting challenges—recruiting participants, nurturing relationships, and ensuring every fundraiser feels supported and valued throughout their journey.
Beyond event delivery, you’ll help shape what “community” means for Smart Works. Through research, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with staff and volunteers, you’ll identify opportunities to expand our reach and develop new ways for supporters to get involved locally and nationally.

The Head of Fundraising will lead all fundraising activities, overseeing the full spectrum of income generation to support our mission of empowering young people through football and education. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead on fundraising for an organisation which has barely scratched the surface of the fundraising landscape. There is autonomy over the direction of travel with a lot of support from the CEO on ideas and future programmes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Strategic Fundraising Leadership
o Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow income across all streams, aligning with the Foundation’s goals.
o Set long-term targets for income growth, monitoring progress and adapting strategies to capitalise on emerging opportunities.
o Act as a key ambassador, representing the Foundation at senior-level meetings with funders and corporate leaders to secure support.
· Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory Funding
o Lead on securing multi-year grants from major trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies, producing compelling applications and stewardship reports.
o Manage a portfolio of high-value trust relationships, cultivating new leads and ensuring personalised engagement to maximise funding.
o Oversee statutory funding bids, including government departments and local authorities, to support programme.
· Philanthropy, Major Donors, and Individual Giving
o Build and steward a portfolio of major donors and philanthropists, networking to identify prospects and delivering tailored proposals to secure gifts.

o Plan and oversee fundraising events, such as corporate football tournaments, charity matches, and supporter evenings, to raise funds and build engagement.

We’re seeking a determined, values-driven Director of Fundraising to drive income generation across several different disciplines, helping to ensure we can continue delivering vital support to people affected by brain injury.
This role isn’t just about setting strategy; it’s about being actively involved in in a hands-on capacity as you build relationships and lead fundraising efforts across community, individual giving, corporate partnerships, events, legacies and trusts fundraising.

About you
We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser who has performed at a director level or equivalent, ideally at a charity with a UK-wide reach.
You will be able to nurture and develop the fundraising team, building a strong culture in line with the organisation’s values, and motivating others to achieve shared goals by using your working knowledge of various fundraising disciplines.
You will be a skilled communicator, able to build relationships with and instil confidence in internal and external stakeholders including donors, supporters, and colleagues.
You will be confident and proficient in using CRM systems and fundraising platforms to manage supporter data, analyse performance and support donor engagement with data-informed decision making.
And you will be able to combine a strategic and analytic mindset with proactive, hands-on fundraising.

- You will be automatically enrolled into the People’s Pension. This is based on your contribution of 5% and with Headway UK contributing 3%. For every 1% you increase above this, Headway UK will increase its contributions by 1% up to a total maximum of 6%.

Bexley Deaf Centre (BDC) is a small and dynamic, well-established charity which has been serving the borough since 1994. Our work is focussed exclusively on supporting people who are Deaf or hard of hearing. We work to raise awareness, break down barriers and promote understanding within the community.
This is an exciting time to join our organisation; we are about to launch an ambitious new 5-year strategy (supported by our fundraising strategy) and are actively expanding and developing the support and services that we provide.
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Fundraising Coordinator who can lead on our fundraising initiatives, support with the development of new projects and organisational change to facilitate the growth of our services.
This exciting fundraising role will include:
· Assisting with developing and implementing fundraising strategies to enable us to diversify our funding streams
· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects, developing proposals, establishing timelines and budgets
· Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify areas for growth and increasing capacity
· Support the growth of the organisation and change required to deliver our fundraising strategy
Experience of working with Deaf people or knowledge of the Deaf community would be an advantage but not essential.

We are recruiting for Community Fundraising Lead to provide support and guidance to individuals and small groups of existing volunteers across a range of geographical areas, many of whom have been on a journey with the charity for decades, recognising their values whilst ensuring the updated mission of the charity is respected and communicated effectively. About You
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will be responsible for building on our existing community fundraising initiatives, which includes networks of loyal volunteers and church contacts – from international pilgrim participants completing fundraising treks to congregations organising bake sales. Liaising with people at all levels, the role will oversee initiatives such as our Ambassador programme, encouraging people to be confident representatives of the charity and ensure they are equipped to share key updates about national campaigns and community fundraising initiatives.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll directly manage four experienced team heads and oversee a high-performing team of 18 who generate bursary, unrestricted, and capital income. The role sits on the Senior Management Team, working closely with colleagues across the charity to connect fundraising with programme delivery, marketing, and business development, ensuring shared priorities and greater collective impact. As Director of Fundraising, you will:

- Experience of capital fundraising or large-scale campaigns advantageous
