Job description

The post-holder will have considerable opportunity to shape and design the role as it evolves over time. This is a very interesting, challenging and rewarding opportunity.

This is an exciting time to join Hive Education Trust. We are a relatively new Multi Academy Trust, currently responsible for St Mary Magdalene Academy Secondary School and St Mary Magdalene Academy Primary School. It is the ambition of the Trust to expand and work with 3-5 London schools.

St Mary Magdalene Academy is a high performing, very oversubscribed school in the heart of Islington. It is part of the London Diocesan Board for Schools group and the schools’ mission is to serve families of all faiths, delivering excellent educational outcomes built on a foundation of happy and successful young people.

We welcome staff and students of all backgrounds and beliefs. We serve a diverse community that reflects the London Borough we serve: both families who could choose private education, but recognise the quality of the educational experience on their doorstep, as well as children from families that face significant deprivation.

The Fundraising Officer will play a central role in creating and implementing a fundraising campaign strategy for the Trust.  The role will involve phone and face-to-face contact with parents, alumnae and other donors and so the ability to connect with people will be important.
