Job Title: Deputy Service Manager
Location: Based across 4 residential services based in Croydon (11 minute walk from East Croydon station) you will need to be able to travel between sites to provide full managerial support. Access to own transport is ideal. Please note that unfortunately this service does not have step free access
Salary: £30,200
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday between 08:00 - 20:00, you will work within these hours, as well as some evenings and weekends hours to ensure 24 hour seamless service delivery alongside the team. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota.

About the role
We're looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will support the Service Manager to provide leadership and line management to a team of Recovery Workers, Engagement Workers, and other frontline care and support staff. You will be present to ensure a quality service is delivered 24 hours a day, working closely with the night teams to ensure quality handovers.
You will provide general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles, supporting a service which focuses on Forensic Mental Health for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. The teams support our residents with person centred support to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, and have greater independence and fulfilled living.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Line Management including providing support and guidance, conducting support and supervisions, and ensuring duties are carried out effectively
- Support with the operational delivery of the service
- Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Property and Housing Management; ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements and is safe to live in
About you
We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated individual to lead the service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. You will have knowledge around the Mental Health complexities that residents can face, and have a can-do attitude which can help empower the team to deliver their KPI's. We look for:
- Experience in working with people who have enduring mental health and complex backgrounds
- Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve KPI's
- Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to the team on all aspects of service delivery including resident related queries
- Willingness and ability to work flexibly to meet service needs
- IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software

About the role
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who has experience in Complex Mental Health and Substance Misuse to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will use your skills and knowledge to support residents with mental health challenges, complex needs, and will provide specialist occupational therapy as part of their recovery. This is a great opportunity to shape your own role, alongside a team of Positive Engagement Workers, a Dual Diagnosis Worker, and Clinical Psychologist, whilst working closely with the Group Psychological Lead and other external partnerships. You will receive regular supervisions and have time with an external Occupational Therapist.
You will:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills
- Be proactive with planning and delivering meaningful activities; this includes one to one and group sessions
- Work closely with clinical teams to meet people where they are, assess their situation, and write recommendations and signposting accordingly
- Assess their current situation through holistic assessments and put plans in place for them to overcome their personal barriers, to enable them for independent living and stability
- Provide psychologically informed interventions in a person-centred approach, flexibly to the resident needs
- Complete various assessments from function to task related to help empower enhanced community and personal engagement
- Set SMART goals in a collaborative way with residents, taking into account all information present from various team members and partner agencies.
About you
We’re looking for a passionate, driven and qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC who has experience working with people that have multiple complex needs. You’ll be confident applying theory to the practical working environment. We use a trauma informed, non judgmental approach, so it’s important that you can work well with others, fit into the team, and build trusting relationships. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment. You will have a background in a similar role, able to provide specialist support to our residents who struggle with their mental health and substance use.
What we look for:
- Ability to provide specialised occupational therapy assessment and treatment for residents/participants.
- Willingness to work in adherence to Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Consultation Observation Tool (COT) and other practice guidelines.
- Ability to identify activity needs and wishes through various approaches such as assessments, observations, and discussions then use these to implement plans of action.
- Ability to recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.
- Supporting residents/participants with the relevant life skills, knowledge, and resources to support their journey to achieve independence and their desired goals.
- Ability to develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running and development of various projects and group engagement activities.

To work closely with the staff of the Citizens Advice Camden Macmillan Welfare Advice Service to maintain and further develop a quality provision ensuring that Citizens Advice standards are met.
To work effectively with Macmillan Cancer Support, The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, Macmillan Information Centre and other relevant agencies, to ensure that people living with cancer who have been referred to the service are appropriately supported.
This role will primarily be based at the Citizens Advice Camden Welfare Advice Service at the Royal Free Hospital; some work may be undertaken at other sites. The Citizen Advice Camden office is based within the hospital’s Oncology department.
Key elements/Tasks
The adviser will be expected to work in a busy and often demanding hospital environment. This role will require you to work with a large number of clients, many of whom will present with multiple and complex advice needs because of their condition. This can be an emotionally challenging and sometimes distressing working environment, and the adviser will need to demonstrate emotional resilience and an awareness of how to support herself/himself and to seek support from others in dealing with this.
The adviser will need to be sensitive to the demands of working daily with healthcare professionals and other non-Citizens Advice Camden stakeholders and to work effectively as an ambassador for Citizens Advice Camden. A large part of the role, in addition to advising clients, involves building and maintaining strong relationships.

We're looking for a dedicated individual who is experienced in working with young people, and passionate about improving the outcomes for them, to join our team as a Mentoring and Employment coordinator.
Reporting directly to the General Manager for Feel Good, the role will be responsible for coordinating the mentoring and development support for Regenerate’s 16 plus service, as well as the employment offer at Feel Good (Regenerate’s social
enterprise).
About the role:
Regenerate runs a thriving and well established mentoring and employment services for 16 – 25’s. This comprises of two areas:
1. Mentoring for young people who are experiencing a range of social and emotional challenges and barriers to employment, and
2) Employment at Feel Good (Regenerate’s social enterprise).
Feel Good is a coffee shop business Regenerate established to train, employ and mentor young people aged 16-25 who are not in education employment or training (NEET), have experienced disadvantage, or are at risk of exploitation. Also, for every
coffee sold we provide a meal for a child in one of our partner services in Africa or Eastern Europe.
Regenerate and Feel Good are within an exciting period of growth in size and impact as a charity, and this role plays a pivotal part; coordinating and delivering mentoring support and development opportunities for young people employed in the business, as well as those within the community who are in need of support. It is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious person passionate about using their skills in youth work and/or mentoring to support young people to thrive and enable them to grow in confidence and key life skills, so that they can thrive.
Terms Overview:
Contract type: One-year fixed term (Maternity Cover)
Responsible to: General Manager of Feel Good
Location: Based at the Ashburton Youth Club, Putney
Salary: 32,500K pro rata (approx. £17,062.50 per annum)
Hours: 21 hours per week
Annual Leave: 25 days plus public holidays pro rata

Support Coordinator Duties:
- Provide outcome focused support to enable clients to lead fulfilling and valued lives, maintain their tenancies, participate in their local community and much more
- Effectively meet the needs of our clients and to take additional responsibilities such as rota management, induction of staff and staff supervision
- Work in a flexible manner which may including working evenings and weekends and sleep in’s
- Participate in our local On Call
- Administering medication
As well as providing direct support, the Support Coordinator role also requires some off rota time, which has been developed to support the management of service delivery. It is essential to have a clean, up to date driving license and access to a vehicle for this role, as the role requires travelling around the Preston area.

In this role, you’ll provide personalised advice and guidance on Carers Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA), and Personal Independence Payment (PIP). You will support parent-carers through every stage of the benefits process — from initial applications to appeals — and contribute to the development of key resources and toolkits. Occasional travel within West Sussex will be required for meetings and roadshows.

- Proven experience in welfare and benefits advice (especially DLA, PIP, Carers Allowance)

About the role
As a member of our helpline team, you will provide emotional support and practical guidance to individuals in need, responding to calls, emails, and web chats. You will support individuals who have experienced various forms of violence and abuse, including domestic violence, hate crimes, sexual violence, and so-called conversion therapies. Your role will involve offering a compassionate, non-judgmental, and empathetic ear to those reaching out for help, while carefully assessing each situation to determine the appropriate level of support. You will conduct risk assessments, provide safeguarding assistance, assist with safety planning, signposting, and, when necessary, support with referring individuals on to the right services, always ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
About you
We are seeking a candidate with experience in providing trauma-informed support to victims and survivors. The ideal candidate will possess strong resilience, a commitment to self-care, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of LGBT victims and survivors. You will be able to demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a proactive approach in offering emotional and practical support, while ensuring a safe and empowering environment for those in need.
