Warrington Women’s Aid is looking for a passionate, resilient, and trauma-informed Complex Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our dedicated team supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping women with complex and multiple needs to achieve safety, recovery, and independence. You will provide intensive support to women experiencing domestic abuse who may also be facing challenges relating to mental health, substance misuse, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, physical disabilities, and other intersecting needs.

The Role

You will hold a caseload of women living in refuge, living in the community, or moving on to independent accommodation. Working closely with colleagues and partner agencies, you will provide practical and emotional support, advocacy, safety planning, and crisis intervention, helping women navigate some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering trauma-informed one-to-one support and safety planning.
• Supporting women with complex and intersecting needs.
• Advocating on behalf of women with housing, health, criminal justice, safeguarding, and social care services.
• Providing community outreach and resettlement support.
• Delivering workshops, drop-ins, and training sessions that build confidence and independence.
• Working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate case records, risk assessments, and outcome monitoring.
• Contributing to the ongoing development of our services.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting vulnerable women affected by domestic abuse, trauma, or violence against women and girls.
• Has worked with women experiencing complex needs, including mental health challenges, substance misuse, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, or physical disabilities (essential).
• Understands risk assessment, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice.
• Can confidently manage a varied caseload and work effectively with multi-agency partners.
• Has excellent communication, record-keeping, and organisational skills.
• Is compassionate, adaptable, resilient, and committed to empowering women.

Based within the SSJ&I Alcohol and Drug Service in Southampton, you will be part of a team that offers a wide range of vital interventions, including one-to-ones, therapeutic group work, needle exchange, and prescribing interventions to people recovering from challenges with drugs and alcohol.

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, flexible, and knowledgeable Housing Support Worker to join our Housing Team. In this role, you will assess young people referred to the service and determine their suitability for New Horizon's Accommodation Pathway or private rented accommodation. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to young people living within our accommodation projects, helping them to build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload across multiple accommodation schemes, completing assessments, developing support plans, and working closely with young people to identify and secure appropriate move-on options into independent living in a timely manner. The role requires effective partnership working with internal teams, local authorities, landlords, and other external agencies to ensure young people receive coordinated and holistic support.

This is a varied and rewarding role requiring excellent communication, sound professional judgement, and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and delivering a high standard of service.

At London City Mission we are passionate about sharing the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ with the least reached in London, and to do this in partnership with churches.   

Bridge House is a new Christian community-based homelessness prevention project that bridges the gap between being at risk of eviction and long-term stable housing.It works, particularly with men from displaced backgrounds providing short-term accommodation and holistic support in partnership with local churches for up to 10 men who are at risk of homelessness.

Through practical, emotional, spiritual, and community-based support, Bridge House helps residents build stability and transition successfully into independent living and integrate into life in the UK.  

We are looking for a full-time Project Leader to lead this exciting new ministry at Bridge House.

• You are passionate about working with marginalised people and providing the support required to enable genuine lifestyle change. 

• You are passionate about partnership with Churches and sharing the love of Jesus with all those we work with. 

• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, whilst being able to work on your own initiative, think creatively and act with the utmost integrity. 

About the Role: 

Project Leader – Bridge House 

• You will work as part of a mission team to confidently lead and develop Bridge House supported housing project. 

• You will manage the Bridge House support team to develop individual client led support plans for each resident and in providing one to one support for those individuals, always maintaining a high standard of care while also taking on a caseload of residents to support yourself. 

• You will maintain an atmosphere where positive change and growth is encouraged and a place where tenants can take positive steps that will enable them to move on and lead independent and responsible lives. 

• You will share the love of Christ and take opportunities for sharing the gospel with the guests 

• You will assess prospective residents’ suitability to the project. 

Salary:   £37,720 plus benefits 

Location:  Bridge House, London Bridge 

Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours inclusive of lunch breaks) 

Contract: Fixed-Term - 24 months
