Housing First is an innovative approach to supporting the most, excluded and hard to reach clients. It focuses on finding housing first; and then addressing the issues that have contributed to an individual’s homelessness.
The Oxford Housing First service aims to support hard to reach clients with complex needs; by sourcing independent tenancies and providing intensive support into long term accommodation. By adopting a flexible, creative and personalised approach, the service aims to support individuals to manage their tenancies in the community and rebuild their lives.
As the Housing First Coordinator you will have the opportunity to lead on the development and day-to-day delivery of the service, taking responsibility for line management, support and supervision of Housing First Workers and overseeing case management so they can provide intensive high quality support to their individual caseload of clients.
About you

- Experience managing complex and difficult situations in relations to people, some day to day management/supervision of staff or volunteers or willingness to develop these skills.
- Great communication skills, with the ability to network and build effective relationships with a variety people.
- Understanding of the issues involved in providing support to people with complex support needs including mental and physical health needs, substance dependency and who may be on low (or no) income.

Are you looking for an opportunity where your skills can make a difference in helping to end homelessness and rebuild lives in Oxford?
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Outreach Coordinator to join the Oxford SPOT team. Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.
In the Coordinator role you will support the Outreach Manager and oversee the day to day delivery and progress of the Oxford Street Outreach team. You will:
- Oversee a small caseload of clients while supervising the case management of Outreach Workers and other staff.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers.
- Have the opportunity to support the Outreach Manager in collating information for reporting to demonstrate the themes and issues the team face.
Your normal working hours will be (Mon-Fri). However, flexibility is essential, to cover shifts that may include early mornings, nights and weekends to ensure we can support our clients when they need us the most.
