Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Social Housing provider who are looking to recruit Project Workers for one of their Supported Housing services in Trafford.

The service, supporting young people aged 16 - 19 who are homeless, is staffed 24/7, providing a safe and stable environment for residents. An experienced and dedicated support team work closely with residents and partner agencies, delivering wide ranging support and advice in areas such as: health and wellbeing, budgeting, education, employment and training and re-housing through weekly one-to-one sessions, workshops and activities.

Residents all have personalised support packages to help them develop independent living skills, realise their potential and move on successfully from the scheme.

The role - Project Worker

  • Managing an allocated caseload of young people, ensuring support plans are in place dedicated to individual needs
  • Completing risk assessments for new referrals into the service to assess suitability
  • Working closely with external organisations to support service users and promote access to the community
  • Promoting independent living and developing daily living skills
  • Keeping accurate records and documentation around individual interactions and progress of service users

The candidate

  • Experience in working within a similar setting with either adults or young people with complex needs
  • Confident in risk assessing and support planning
  • Maintain strong relationships with external organisation
  • An Enhanced DBS is also required for the role of Project Worker
