What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere in the home.
- Following lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness to health and safety for self, colleagues and customers.
- Supporting customers to maintain a healthy and clean living environment, where appropriate, provide assistance to maintain their living areas are clean and safe from hazards.
- Providing support and assistance to customers during the day who may be experiencing difficulties with their own mental health and seeking appropriate support.

The Hepatitis C Trust is recruiting a Harm Reduction Outreach Worker to join our innovative mobile outreach service across Birmingham. Working alongside peer workers and healthcare professionals, you will engage with people who use drugs, people experiencing homelessness, and others at risk of drug-related harm, helping them access harm reduction support, healthcare, testing, treatment, and wider services.
About the role
You will:
- Deliver harm reduction interventions and needle and syringe provision
- Distribute naloxone and provide overdose awareness support
- Promote hepatitis C, hepatitis B and HIV testing
- Build trusted, non-judgemental relationships with service users
- Provide trauma-informed support and practical guidance
- Facilitate referrals into treatment, healthcare, housing and community services
- Work closely with local partners to improve access to care
About you
You will have:
- Experience working with vulnerable or marginalised communities
- Knowledge of harm reduction and substance use issues
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A compassionate, person-centred and non-judgemental approach
- A commitment to equality, inclusion and reducing stigma
- A full UK driving licence
Lived experience of substance use and/or recovery and experience of outreach or peer support work are welcomed.

There are 5 hostels in the cluster ranging from high, medium to low support which are all based in the borough of RBKC. The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough.
Staff are expected to work 8 hours daily on a shift rota basis. This will include weekend working. Shifts are 7.30am to 3.30pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.
The fixed term contract is for 6 months.

This is an exciting new post that will give you the space and support to grow our Communities & Culture offer, from cultural festivals and participatory arts to community gatherings and creative workshops. You will work alongside artists, community groups, and partners to build something truly meaningful, while also playing a key role in LAH's wider organisational development.

You will be bilingual in Spanish and English, with a strong understanding of the experiences, challenges and strengths of Latin American communities in the UK. Villagers Connect Project – a great opportunity to join our team at Action in rural Sussex
Villagers Connect is a community development project which is working to sustain a strong and vibrant community in the villages of Colgate, Faygate and Rusper. It aims to build connections and relationships which increase confidence, independence and empowerment, particularly for the over 65’s.
We are seeking a part-time community development worker to work as part of a small team that is active in this rural location in the Horsham district. This role involves a good deal of community-based activity, engaging with older people and the wider community. This does therefore require someone who is understanding of older people and their interests, abilities and needs.
We champion an asset based approach to community development, which is about building on existing strengths and supporting local people to flourish; undertaking community led projects that create community cohesion and have lasting impact.
Key Objectives
· Support older people to access services and support locally that will meet their needs and improve their quality of life

· Build connections and relationships across and within the three parishes to reduce social isolation

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
Empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing. As part of a team, you will support a staffing rota offering support to service users between the hours of 8am-10pm Mon-Sun each week. In collaboration with your team, you will actively monitor wellbeing, mental health, housing and living environment to ensure service users journey into independence. Moreover, you will take a solution focused and co-produced approach to supporting service users with their move-on into independent living.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
You will have experience working with people with mental health and/or dual diagnosis needs, gained through paid or voluntary roles. You will be able to learn quickly, gather and assess information, and make sound decisions while accurately recording and sharing information in line with confidentiality requirements. You will be confident supporting individuals who may display challenging behaviour, using a calm, non-judgemental and solution-focused approach to de-escalate difficult situations and work collaboratively towards positive outcomes. The role requires resilience and optimism, with a strong belief in people's capacity for change, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes pressured environment. A sound understanding of safeguarding is essential, along with the ability to respond appropriately to concerns. You must also be flexible and willing to work unsociable hours, including early and late shifts and occasional weekends as part of a team rota.

This role is responsible for empowering a caseload of clients to maintain their wellbeing, independence, and tenancy, while supporting them to achieve personal goals and aspirations. You will co-produce support and recovery plans, facilitate group activities and peer networks, and engage with community professionals to ensure holistic support. The role involves monitoring health, safety, and security, managing referrals, assessments, and reviews, and maintaining accurate records in line with policy. You will also support the manager with housing management tasks including rent collection, arrears, voids, repairs, and budgets, ensuring properties are safe, services run effectively, and contractual obligations are consistently met.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with mental health needs and working with criminal justice services, with an understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks. They should have a good knowledge of health and safety within accommodation-based services and be able to monitor and maintain safety, security, and maintenance needs.
Basic housing management knowledge, including maintenance and repairs, is required, along with strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills to produce clear written communication and records. A sound understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to respond appropriately is essential.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Volunteer Manager to lead the development, coordination, and growth of our volunteer programme supporting unpaid carers (both adults and young carers).
This role will focus on recruiting, training, and supporting a diverse volunteer base, including members of the public, college students, and student social workers to deliver a range of support across our services. Alongside this, the Volunteer Manager will play a key role in building internal capacity by equipping staff with the skills and confidence to effectively support volunteers in their roles. Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement:
- Develop and deliver effective volunteer recruitment strategies
- Promote volunteering opportunities through outreach, partnerships, and campaigns

Volunteer Training & Development:
