As part of this project, we are looking for a Data Analyst who can help us measure community impact, inform decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement across programme delivery. Position Overview:
The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting Quilombo UK’s community and cultural initiatives by collecting, managing, analysing, and reporting data related to engagement, outreach, and programme impact. This role is crucial to enabling data-driven decision-making across teams and enhancing the visibility of outcomes to stakeholders and funders.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Management:

• Gather, clean, and manage datasets from sources including attendance logs, feedback surveys, fundraising data, and project reports.

• Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and organisation across internal records.

Analysis & Insight Generation:

• Identify trends and patterns to evaluate the effectiveness of “Solta o Jogo” programming.

• Support strategy development through analysis of community engagement, volunteer participation, and performance indicators.

Reporting & Visualisation:

• Build user-friendly dashboards and visuals to support internal teams and partner reporting needs.

• Present clear summaries and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or working toward a qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Health, Social Research, or related field.

Experience:

• Experience working with spreadsheets and large datasets.

• Demonstrated ability to collect, clean, and interpret data using Excel or Google Sheets.

What the role involves

This is a varied role where local need shapes what you’ll be working on, but it often includes:

• Designing and making pieces of equipment for individuals with specific needs

• Using your practical skills working with metal, wood, plastic, or electronics (or a combination of them)

• Attending a monthly meeting of the local branch.

Time expectation

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

Become the new friendly face in your local Tŷ Hafan charity shop!

We are Tŷ Hafan. We provide comfort, care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their loved ones.

This opportunity is a great way to develop new skills and enjoy yourself at the same time.

Our shops generate funds that directly support the whole family, from medical care and therapeutic services for children, to emotional and practical care for families, to sibling support activities & experiences.

Your role will help us continue providing vital care and support to Tŷ Hafan children and their families.

Considerations:

Age requirement: 16+

Commitment:  Our shops operate Monday-Saturday, 9am-4:45pm and we appreciate any time you can spare, but ideally at least 2 hours per week.

Shifts will be discussed during your informal chat.

Background checks: We will ask you to provide us with the details of two referees.

Activities include:

• Providing a warm and friendly welcome to all customers entering the shop;
• Helping customers to locate items they are looking for;
• Serving customers at the till;
• Taking donations and promoting Gift Aid;
• Selling and processing our raffle/lottery tickets;
• Acting as an ambassador for Tŷ Hafan, promoting our Big Ambition within your local community..

Our amazing team of volunteers help us run over 100 shops across England and Wales.  Every donated item that you sort, prepare and sell helps to raise vital funds to support us in our mission to make sure no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, is isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential. Our shops are at the heart of local communities – sharing the work of Sense, and helping to secure support for our life changing work.

What your role will involve

There are a variety of tasks that you can get involved with in the shop, including:

• Welcoming and assisting customers, providing great customer service and a fantastic shopping experience
• Receiving donated goods from members of the public
• Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale
• Creating eye catching window and in-shop displays
• Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
• Processing sales and serving on the till
• Promoting Gift Aid and other Sense fundraising initiatives
• Acting as an ambassador for Sense; promoting the shop and Sense in your local community
• Supporting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers
• Following new health and safety measures to ensure the safety of everyone
