At 23rd Poplar Scouts, we’ve got a growing bunch of Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers (ages 4 to 18) who are bursting with energy, questions, and potential.

And we’re looking for more grown-ups (yes, you!) to join our crew of volunteers.

Here's the deal - we don’t care if you can’t tie 12 knots or survive a week in the woods with just a spork or whether you're a parent, student, working professional, or retiree.
We do care if you:

• Enjoy seeing young people grow in confidence

Mary's Living & Giving for Save the Children is unique - a vibrant result of the generous gifts of local individuals and companies being turned around by the skills and passions of volunteer teams, to create a destination retail experience. Selling womenswear, menswear, shoes, and bags to household goods, our shops can be found in the London villages and bring in vital funds for Save the Children.

Our Blackheath Shop Volunteers are in the middle of it all, and there’s plenty to get involved with. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays or keeping our shop floor looking organised.

It’s up to you how much you commit. We have volunteers who support for a couple of hours a week and some do more. Many people volunteer either a morning or an afternoon each week - this is something that will be discussed at the selection stage, after you’ve applied.

Senior Fundraising Manager 

Purpose:
To design, lead, and oversee a powerful multi-channel fundraising strategy that supports the CIC’s mission, volunteer expansion, and community-impact programs.

Key Tasks:

• Develop and execute a high-level fundraising strategy across individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants, community fundraising, and online campaigns

• Build the infrastructure for our upcoming Volunteer Fundraising Ambassador Programme, including training pathways, scripts, tools, and reporting systems

The Role – HR Assistant
We are looking for a proactive HR Assistant to support the HR Manager in managing our growing volunteer network. You’ll help with onboarding, records, and HR processes that ensure volunteers feel supported.

Responsibilities:

• Support recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers.
• Maintain HR and volunteer records with accuracy.
• Assist with drafting role descriptions and volunteer agreements.
• Provide administrative support across HR and safeguarding processes.

Who are we?

We are Buttons & Bubbles CIC. We work with children, young people, families and other professionals associated and affected by illness and disability. We have several different services including inclusive characters, sensory workshops, resources, events, advocacy and more.

What are we looking for?

Do you enjoy art? Graphic design? Are you an amazing illustrator? Then we might just have a project for you. One of our aims is to have every type of disability in every culture, religion and ethnicity depicted through our characters. And yes, we know that’s going to mean a lot of hard work and a lot of characters! But NO we are not asking you to complete this entire project!

We’ve created 11 characters so far that depict a variety of conditions. We want to look at potentially re-developing these characters and starting work on some new ones!

What do we expect?

• Be willing to undertake our training programme which will be done virtually and at a time to suit you.

• Have an Enhanced DBS check (preferably be on the update system)

• Sign our volunteer contract. (If you disagree with anything in it please do discuss it

  with us and we will be happy to have a conversation and make small changes if

  appropriate).

We are looking for a male mentor volunteer to provide guidance, support, and inspiration to young boys in our Brent Domestic Abuse Service. You will act as a positive role model by offering a listening ear for challenges, helping build social connections, and developing life skills like self-esteem, respecting others, and decision-making. This role requires empathy, reliability, and a commitment to a positive, non-judgmental approach. If you would like to make a difference, get in touch!

Hestia provides holistic, one-to-one support in our refuges and the community. Our refuge services are for women and children, offering a safe place to stay and vital emotional and practical support.

Outside of our refuges, most of our support services are accessible by anyone who has experienced domestic abuse, including men.

In the last year, 3,855 women and children were supported by Hestia to recover from domestic abuse.

Anyone can experience domestic abuse, at any point in their life, regardless of their background, age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation. However, it is a gendered crime, with women being three times more likely to be victims.

We help people understand what domestic abuse is and develop the knowledge, skills and tools they need to protect themselves, stay safe and leave a relationship, if and when they’re ready to do so.

What you will be doing

• Build a trusting relationship with a young boy by being a supportive, compassionate, and empathetic friend and role model
• Help the young person identify and work toward personal and academic goals
• Provide guidance and support on challenges the young boy faces, helping them consider various options and make positive life choices
• Support the young person in developing positive life skills and problem-solving abilities
• Assist in making social connections within the local community or through other positive activities and groups

About the Role

As a Volunteer Project Manager, you’ll oversee the full project lifecycle — from planning to successful delivery. You’ll coordinate timelines, deliverables, and communication across various volunteer teams, supporting team leads and maintaining project momentum.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate progress across multiple volunteer teams and projects.
• Plan and manage project timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups.

• Track progress, analyse outcomes, and provide regular updates to leadership.
• Identify and address challenges to ensure efficient project execution.
• Foster collaboration and effective communication between volunteers and management.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven experience managing projects or teams (remote experience is a plus).
• Comfortable using digital tools and project management platforms.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
