Job description

As a volunteer Head Roller Skate Coach, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the roller skating sessions at RollaDome All Skate. This role offers you the opportunity to develop your coaching experience and contribute to the growth and success of RollaDome’s programs while supporting the development of youth and community members. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and oversee roller skate coaching sessions for various age groups and skill levels. 

  • Develop and implement lesson plans to teach roller skating techniques, safety, and skills. 

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during coaching sessions. 

  • Provide support and guidance to other coaches and volunteers. 

  • Evaluate and track participant progress, providing feedback to enhance their development. 

  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive environment for all participants. 

  • Assist in the promotion of roller skating sessions and events within the community. 

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Passion for roller skating and teaching others. 

  • Previous experience in coaching or teaching roller skating (desirable). 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to motivate and inspire individuals of various ages and skill levels. 

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. 

  • First aid qualification (desirable). 

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

  • Minimum 15 hours per week, with flexible hours.
