The Board of Scope is seeking a highly organised and proactive part-time Trustee Liaison Coordinator to provide dedicated support to Trustees, Independent Committee Members and senior leaders.
Fixed term for 12 months

The role
This is a pivotal new role designed to increase the Board’s operational effectiveness, unlock external relationships, and strengthen communication between Trustees and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
The post holder will work closely with the Chair, Trustees, Independent members where appropriate and Scope’s executive team to ensure high-impact follow-through between meetings, improving visibility of board contributions, and supporting strategic external engagement with ambassadors and corporate partners.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in governance support, senior stakeholder coordination, or non-profit/NGO board facilitation, and who thrives in a diplomatic, behind-the-scenes role where confidentiality, attention to detail, political nous and relationship management are paramount.
Responsibilities include:
· Support the Chair by ensuring Trustees’ skills are mapped and kept up to date to ensure that Trustees are contributing efficiently and meaningfully to delivering Scope’s strategy.
· Coordinate introductions and referrals from Trustees to key partners and potential ambassadors, work with teams to ensure leads are followed up thoughtfully. Maintain a confidential log tracking these important relationships.
· Act as main point of contact between the Executive Leadership Team and Board, promoting open communication through updates and invitations, ensuring prompt responses to Trustee input. Help identify opportunities for Trustees to get involved in internal activities.
· Work with the governance team to track actions and ideas from Board and committee meetings, keep Trustees updated on progress, and arrange interim calls or working groups as needed.
· Share Trustee contact details (opt in), nurture informal connections, and provide support as required, while collaborating closely with the Governance team to ensure there’s no duplication of effort.

Who We Are
Our charity was established in 1992, to provide care and support to people in Sussex, living with and affected by HIV. Over the past three decades there have been huge advances in treatment and care for those affected by the virus. People taking effective anti-retroviral medication (ART’s) can live long lives, with HIV becoming undetectable and untransmittable.
Whilst people who are living with HIV can live longer, many develop other physical co-morbidities as they age and many experience social and self-stigma. Our service users are often from marginalised groups, who often experience inter-sectional discrimination and health inequalities. Many of our service users experience socio-economic disadvantage and have multiple and complex needs.
The Sussex Beacon offers a range of services to people who have been living with HIV for decades through to those who are newly diagnosed. Our services include:

· Living Well Exercise Programme

In addition to our HIV services, The Sussex Beacon has announced that it is to become a fully inclusive Hospice, providing dedicated Hospice care to the LGBTQ+ community.

The Role
This is an exciting time for The Sussex Beacon, as we are about to launch our new 2030 Strategic Plan and move to a new era of delivery, through the evolution of our end of life and palliative care for the LGBTQ+ community. The Sussex Beacon will be the first Hospice of its kind in the country tackling stigma and health inequalities for those who are most marginalised in our community.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Mass Participation Lead to join our Income Generation team. Working alongside the Head of Income, you’ll take the lead on planning, delivering, and growing our portfolio of mass participation events, including some of the UK’s most iconic runs:

In addition, you’ll collaborate with the Head of Income on the development and launch of two exciting new events scheduled for 2026/2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on all aspects of mass participation fundraising events, from recruitment and engagement of participants to event-day logistics and post-event stewardship.
- Develop and implement creative campaigns to maximise participant sign-ups, fundraising income, and supporter retention.
- Build strong relationships with participants, corporate partners, and event organisers to enhance The Sussex Beacon’s presence and reputation.
- Support the Head of Income in the strategic growth of the events programme and delivery of income targets.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Senior Management team to build your understanding of our work and the needs of people living with HIV, LGBTQ+ end of life and palliative care needs and broader health inequalities in the communities we serve.
- Work collaboratively with our Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure that events are adequately supported.
- Develop and enhance our existing celebrity/high profile runner engagement.

• Reporting to the Head of External Affairs, Communications & Fundraising, you will:
• Research, write and submit high-quality funding applications and tenders.
• Help build a sustainable pipeline of income streams.
• Develop and manage relationships with trusts, foundations, corporates and community fundraisers.
• Create compelling, costed cases for support with colleagues and clients.
• Deliver excellent supporter care, ensuring donors and funders have a great experience.
• Work with Communications colleagues to deliver engaging campaigns and events.
• Maintain accurate fundraising records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
About you
This is the only dedicated fundraising role at Transform, so you'll need to be proactive, confident and comfortable working across the full fundraising mix. You will also contribute to the development of our fundraising strategy, while taking the lead on delivering it day-to-day.
• Experience in corporate or community fundraising is essential and knowledge of issues such as safeguarding which affect homeless and vulnerable people, would be an advantage.
• Ideally you will have:
• A successful track record in fundraising, especially in trusts and foundations.
• Experience of writing persuasive funding applications and/or tenders.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to take initiative.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Events & Fundraising Officer to join our small, dedicated team. Working closely with the rest of the Events & Fundraising team, you’ll help deliver and grow LLST’s fundraising events across London and the South East, including the London Legal Walk, Regional Legal Walks, Great Legal Bake, and Great Legal Quiz, as well as manage our third party challenge events. You will play a vital role in the planning and organising of LLST’s flagship London Legal Walk, bringing together over 19,000 members of the legal community to walk 10km through central London and raise vital funds for over 100 free legal advice charities.
The role involves coordinating event logistics, managing supporter journeys and communications, maintaining our online presence, spreading the word about the importance of the work we do, and helping to develop our fundraising strategy. You’ll also line manage the Events & Fundraising Assistant and play a key role in maintaining LLST’s excellent reputation.

The special events manager is responsible for the leadership, development and delivery of the Special Events portfolio including income generating and stewardship events. The special events manger will work closely with senior stakeholders, internally and externally, to deliver high quality and high value events, including gala dinners, engagement events, online auctions, virtual events and a golf day. The role will manage all aspects of events from concept to completion. The role looks after high value event relationships, including an event committee, and implementing a strategic plan to deliver and grow unrestricted income for our Transforming Treatments campaign and beyond.
You will have experience of project management and creation of high calibre income generating events, including gala dinners and be used to managing events from concept to delivery, including oversight of the project budget and expenditure. In addition, you will be able to manage all event operations on the day with the ability to confidently coordinate, lead and direct teams of staff and volunteers.

Primary location of role
This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in Birmingham, Coventry, or the surrounding areas. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London or Sheffield offices.
