Job description

The opportunity

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to work as Fundraising Manager for Sight Life. As Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the continued success and development of the charity’s services.

About us

Sight Life (the new public name for Cardiff Institute for the Blind (CIB) provides local services and lifelong support, so that blind and partially sighted people across the majority of South Wales can enjoy independent, fulfilled lives. We particularly focus on providing local, face to face contact through home visits and peer support groups. This allows us to really get to know our service-users, build trust and ensure we make a significant difference to their lives.

About the role

You will lead on developing and implementing strategies to generate new income streams to improve Sight Life’s financial stability and fund service expansion, supporting your colleagues to meet annual income targets with an initial focus on writing bids to trusts and other funding bodies.

About you

You will be a highly experienced fundraising professional who has operated previously at a similar level. You will have a track record of delivering fundraising success and be passionate about meeting and beating fundraising targets. Naturally you will be well organised and an excellent communicator who is able to converse with a wide variety of stakeholders.
