About the role
This role is promote Healthwatch to local residents and stakeholders, and support people to get involved in our work. You’ll be a skilled communicator, comfortable networking and engaging with a diverse range of local residents. This role is primarily based in Westminster, and we’re looking for someone who can understand and relate to the diverse local population.
Your role will involve finding innovative ways to present the information the team gathers to key audiences. This will range from face-to-face conversations with partners and funders through to producing imaginative materials. This includes producing accessible reports and presentations to make sure we can maximise the impact of people’s feedback.
You’ll be responsible for a variety of internal and external communications for the Healthwatch Westminster producing impactful communications across all platforms including our website, social media channels and newsletter. You’ll also produce informative and engaging content for our websites, keeping it fresh and relevant for our diverse audiences.

As well as developing our online presence, you’ll own the Westminster engagement plan. This will involve identifying engagement opportunities, working with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure we have good coverage at events across the borough, and getting out into the local community to promote our service and hear from local residents.
Working as part of a small team, you’ll be involved in many aspects of the organisation. You’ll need to be flexible, with a ‘can do’ attitude to meet the evolving needs of the service. You will need to work in close collaboration with our other Healthwatch services in Kensington & Chelsea and Brent, and occasionally support communications and engagement in those areas when the need arises.

Key responsibilities

Engagement

• Develop a vibrant engagement plan for Healthwatch Westminster, ensuring that we are reaching a wide range of residents a
• Develop effective relationships with local groups to promote the Healthwatch service and share platforms to capture people’s views and experiences.
• Keep abreast of good engagement practice and actively seek out innovative ways to capture and express people’s views/experiences, including engagement techniques appropriate to different audiences.
• Work in partnership with key stakeholders from the grassroots network to support engagement in projects, including coproduction and joint communications.
• Take a lead role in making sure all Healthwatch Brent activities involve people from all sections of the community, including seldom-heard communities.

Communications (Healthwatch Brent, Westminster, RBKC)

• Create engaging and up-to-date digital media content across all social media channels, including web content, Twitter and Facebook.
• Create regular newsletters and e-bulletins, circulating these to key stakeholders to support engagement.
• Design reports, presentations and stationary templates for the Healthwatch service, making sure all materials keep to the Healthwatch brand guidelines.
• Answer and respond appropriately to calls about the service, collaborating with the team to give signposting support via phone and email.
• Keep up to date with best practice from Healthwatch England, by reading, attending courses and networking.
• Carry out any other tasks needed for the service to run smoothly, as directed by the Healthwatch Manager.

Person specification
Essential

• Good understanding of the NHS / social care, in particular the role of user/citizen involvement in developing services.
• Experience of promoting user empowerment and user choice.
• Experience producing communication materials for a variety of channels and audiences.
• Experience of working with diverse communities, particularly in Brent, Westminster or Kensington & Chelsea.
• Good understanding of health inequality and the role Healthwatch can play in helping local people to address this.
• Experience of project management; ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders ranging from local residents, colleagues, partners, trustees and commissioners.
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to take initiative and plan your own workload.
• Commitment to working within The Advocacy Project and Healthwatch code of conduct, equality and safeguarding policies.
• Willingness to attend further training and to adopt new procedures.
• Willingness to promote Healthwatch and The Advocacy Project in line with our mission, vision and values.

Desirable

• Evidence of ongoing personal development and training related to the role.
• Previous experience of working within a Healthwatch service.

Youth Action Officer

Salary: £32,140 per annum based on 35 hours per work

Contract length: Fixed term for 2 years with the possibility of extension

About the Role

Our Youth Action Officer will be critical to the development of the Wilder Cumbria ambitions and will be responsible for supporting and coordinating our apprenticeships and student placements and delivering a range of activities to engage and empower young people.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for the natural world and be able to motivate, inspire and empower young people to 'take action for nature'. Previous experience working in the youth or education sector would be essential to this role, along with good knowledge of local wildlife and demonstrable skills in practical conservation. Previous experience in delivering programmes of engagement in a learning or educational setting would also be desirable, along with  experience working with Volunteers.

Premises Officer/Maintenance Person – Oasis St Martin’s Village

Oasis’ mission is to build stronger communities. Oasis St Martins Village is a new and exciting project, working in partnership with other organisations in an integrated way, to provide opportunity and pathways for children and young people.

Our vision is to transform the life-chances of children, who are struggling in or not coping with mainstream education, by offering them and their families support and opportunity.

Our work is based around the principle that “it takes a village to raise a child”.

This role will help deliver the Oasis St Martins Village aims and mission by ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective site and facilities service, aligned with the ethos and values of Oasis St Martin’s Village.

What will you do?

This newly formed role will be embedded within the site management team. To be successful in this role, applicants will be required to:

• Assist the Senior Premises Officer with maintenance tasks as required to ensure a safe and effective working environment. Must be able perform basic repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting, changing locks etc.)
• Assist with water testing, testing of alarms and other routine tasks as directed.
• Set and un-set the site alarm systems when required.
• Assist with the opening and closing, unlocking and locking of the site gates and buildings, including evening and weekend use.
• Be responsible for the security of the site when on duty including the locking of all doors and windows.
• Assist the events manager with delivery of events, particularly during evenings and weekends.
• Assist with the cleaning of the site as and when needed.
• Assist with room setup and moving of furniture safely. This includes preparing spaces to host events and functions, packing down and cleaning afterwards. And to service ongoing regular lettings.

Chief Officer

Citizens Advice Woking (CAW) provides free, independent, and confidential advice and information to the residents of Woking, and anyone who works in the Borough, particularly the most vulnerable, to help with the problems they face.  We are the only organisation locally that can and does address client issues holistically, across areas such as debt, housing and welfare benefits, not just single issues, and this is increasingly important as client problems become more complex.

Reporting to the Chair of the Trustee Board, the Chief Officer

• Is responsible to the Trustee Board for the management and leadership of Citizens Advice Woking,
• Represents Citizens Advice Woking to funders, partners and stakeholders,
• Ensures the delivery of a high quality, impartial and confidential service, utilising both paid staff and volunteers,
• Is responsible for the continuing funding, planning and financial management of the service,
• Represents the organisation in Woking and contributes to the overall provision of strategic advice services in the borough.

In particular, the priorities for the Chief Officer in 2026/27 will be to:

• Manage CAW’s external relationships with our funders and the Woking community generally, to ensure satisfaction with the delivery of current projects, and their continuation,
• Collaborate closely with the other Surrey LCA Chief Officers to respond to the changing funding landscape. In parallel, continue to identify and deliver local projects for local funders,
• Ensure that suitable alternative premises are secured, and the transition is managed as smoothly as possible,
• Ensure the staff and volunteers are enabled to work effectively, particularly during this period of disruption,

The Chief Officer has an important leadership role, working closely with the Operations Manager, who has line responsibility for the staff and, generally, the internal CAW operation.  The volunteers are managed on a day-to-day basis by the Advice Session Supervisors, who are critical to ensuring the quality of advice to clients, and the smooth running of the office.

Beyond Reflections is a UK charity providing dedicated mental-wellbeing support to Trans+ people, as well as to their families,

friends, and allies. We offer a combination of group support, one-to-one services, and therapeutic interventions delivered by experienced case workers, counsellors, and therapists.

Our work spans both online and in-person settings, ensuring support is accessible, confidential, and rooted in compassion.

From facilitated support groups and tailored counselling to mentoring, safe social spaces, and specialist guidance, we aim to meet people where they are and provide the right help at the right time.

We play a wider role in strengthening inclusion across society.
