About the role

You’ll ensure service enquiries are handled sensitively and efficiently, demonstrating excellent customer care skills via telephone, email and occasionally face to face. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of services includes Moving Forward courses, Living with Secondary Breast Cancer and Younger Women Together.

About you

You’re enthusiastic, proactive and committed to providing excellent customer service. An experienced administrator, you’ll be organised and methodical as well as possessing excellent working knowledge of IT systems, including working with databases.

Friendly and approachable, you’ll be able to quickly build effective connections with new people and have a sensitive approach and understanding of confidentiality appropriate for working with vulnerable people.

Qualifications
 
• NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent or willing to work towards the qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the care sector is essential.
• Experience working in a supported living setting with individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

We are seeking someone with great administrative and people skills to join our friendly team (16 hours per week) to support our Administration and Supporter Relations functions while being the welcoming face of Yeldall Manor. As Administration Assistant, you will provide crucial administrative support for the Administration & Supporter Relations Manager and other staff with tasks such as processing and recording residents’ leave applications, preparing thank you letters, assisting in the preparation and despatch of the monthly prayer diary and supporting the wider staff team with other administrative tasks as applicable (copying, laminating, data entry, document creation and editing).

As Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and residents. You'll warmly welcome guests and help direct enquiries as needed, and handle reception duties with professionalism. This includes staffing the reception desk, accessing calendars, sending emails, and performing other basic administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly.

Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role requires a committed Christian faith to meet the occupational requirements (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). We ask all staff to engage with and support our residents in their recovery journey, offering encouragement in both practical and spiritual matters.

This is a part-time, permanent position (16 hours per week). You will share Reception duties with the existing Administration Assistant/Receptionist, based in the ground floor Main Office of Yeldall Manor, located in a beautiful rural setting. Lunch is provided daily with staff and residents.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. This will include a wide range of admin and support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event for the BOA’s flagship event, BOA Annual Congress, and other educational, social and fundraising events, both face to face and virtual, delivered by the team. Are you practical, reliable, and passionate about using your skills to make a real difference in people’s lives? Yeldall Manor, a Christian residential rehabilitation centre near Reading, is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you’ll help keep our beautiful grounds and buildings in excellent condition, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our residents as they rebuild their lives. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you’ll carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and small projects across the site. You’ll use your own trade skills and coordinate with contractors and volunteers to complete tasks in plumbing, electrical work, general building maintenance, and appliance repair.

You’ll also play a key part in our planned maintenance programme, keeping records up to date and advising on improvements where needed. Occasionally, you’ll supervise and support residents as they take part in maintenance work, helping them develop new skills and confidence as part of their recovery journey.

Beyond the practical side, this role is about people. You’ll be part of a caring, faith-based community that supports men overcoming substance misuse. Due to growth and investment in the team, 3 exciting opportunities have arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.

We’re now looking for 3 events assistants to play a key role within the team. Supporting the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of walking, running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges. You’ll engage hundreds of fundraisers, acting as a first point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead on your own project.

These roles play a vital part in the events team and are perfect for someone getting started in their fundraising career.

About you

We’re looking for 3 individuals with excellent attention to detail and a passion for charity fundraising. An understanding of and experience with administrative tasks such as data entry and working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.

You’ll be a first point of contact with hundreds of our supporters, many of whom will be in touch via email, phone or social media, so an understanding of using these channels and delivering customer service, particularly in the charity sector, is preferable. You should also have a demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and have experience working as part of a team.

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s variety of activities, including:

 · To deliver youth activities on the farm, supporting young people to help care for the animals

· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,

· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals

· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals

· To support with the animal cleaning and feeding rota, alongside groups or individuals.

· To support with the running of our café, which runs on the weekends. Working alongside our youth volunteers to serve refreshments and food.

As we celebrate 40 years of making a difference, The Cinnamon Trust continues to grow, and we want you to be part of our journey! Our headquarters in Hayle, Cornwall, is looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual to join the team as an Assistant Community Services Manager.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To assist with handling all incoming requests for help, both by telephone and email, to listen to and record the needs of elderly and/or terminally ill people and their pets (ie Owner needs).  To identify individuals outside our charitable remit and refer to other organisations that can offer assistance and always seek advice in the case of doubt.

Where help is required, to raise a computerised record to log the case, task volunteers nationwide by telephone and email to offer assistance to elderly Owners with the pet care and reassurance needed in order to honour our mission statement of “Peace of mind for owners, love care and safety for their pets”.  Liaise with both Owner and volunteer throughout to ensure the delivery of our service.  This post will require a good overall understanding of the needs of elderly people and their pets.

 MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

i. To assist in contacting volunteers nationwide by telephone and email and tasking by telephone as required to help Owners with their pets.

ii. To listen to the needs of each Owner and accurately record information for each Owner and their pet by completion of a computerised case to record volunteers assigned and the service provided. 

iii. To ensure you record all of your communications onto the database in an accurate and timely fashion by way of comments on each Owner case at the end of each conversation.

iv. To help maintain up-to-date records and mailing lists for Owners, Owners’ contacts and volunteers throughout the course of your work.

v. To ensure the appropriate delivery and quality of service provided to Owners when you are handling a request for:-

a) Dog Walking

Task a minimum of two volunteers per case to assist with dog walking.  Contact all volunteers after their first dog walk to check and ensure they have started, log all responses onto the database, then complete the case.

b) Home Checks

When a potential long term fosterer is identified, you will be asked to task a volunteer to visit and carry out a home check.  Once the completed home check has been received, complete the case – (all home checks will be valid for 12 months).

c) Short Term Fostering (stf)

To initially gather as much information about the pet(s) as you can and how soon a foster is required.  Raise a case and log all details onto the database, begin a computerised search for a suitable volunteer to foster, arrange transport, if needed, to take the pet(s) to the volunteer and follow up 24 hours after the pet arrives to ensure all is well.  Keep in touch weekly.

If the pet goes home – arrange transport to take the pet back home, again follow up 24 hours after the pet has returned home with a phone call to the Owner to ensure all is well.  If dog walking or any other assistance is needed, raise a new case and task the appropriate volunteers to either dog walk, offer Pet Care, reassure etc.

If the pet(s) goes into long term foster – refer to your line manager, once a decision is made, then follow the protocols for Long Term Fostering see below.

d) Long Term Fostering (ltf)

Raise a Long Term Foster Case, if needed, identify and chat to potential individuals, all of whom must already be home checked, run through the home check with the person to identify any changes, refer to your line manager, once the right individual is selected, arrange transport to take the pet(s) to their new ltf home.  Once the pet(s) have arrived, follow up 24 hours later to ensure all is well.

e) Pet Care

When required, task a volunteer to visit a Owner and offer pet care, whether it is to administer medicine, groom, clean out a litter tray, bird cage, reassure, or any other pet care as agreed with your line manager as this is not an exhaustive list.

f) Talks

To task a volunteer to give a talk, attend an event, or represent The Trust but always take advice from your line manager with regard to appropriate volunteers for these tasks.

v. To liaise with all other members of The Trust to help maintain a quality service.

vi. To contribute to the team by helping to update volunteer and Owner cases in the course of your communications.

vii. To help maintain filing and filing systems related to your work.

viii. To liaise with all other staff of The Trust in a flexible manner.

ix. To liaise with all Owners and members of the general public in a polite and helpful way.

x. To be familiar with and adhere to procedures and protocols, disciplinary and applicable rules and ensure compliance with legislations (Health and Safety, Data Protection, especially the privacy of members, Owners and volunteers alike).

xi. At all times to ensure and maintain a compassionate, professional and efficient public image for The Trust.

• Develop and deliver the Legacy & In-Memory Giving programme, aligning it with the wider Individual Giving strategy

• Implement data-driven and audience-led legacy and in-memory marketing campaigns that grow pledger numbers and increase engagement
• Responsible for legacy case management and be the strategic lead for our legacy consultancy partner, ensuring compliance and efficiency
• Support the development and management of stewardship programmes for enquirers, pledgers and in-memory donors, providing sensitive and effective supporter care
• Embed a culture of legacy and in-memory giving increasing awareness and knowledge
• Support the delivery of events to inspire new supporters and strengthen relationships with existing ones
• Monitor performance, analyse results, and use insights to continually enhance the programme

About You:

• Experienced in developing and delivering legacy or individual giving strategies across multiple channels
• Proven experience of team leadership and line management
• Excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, agencies, and solicitors
• Experienced in donor stewardship, with an understanding of how to create meaningful supporter journeys
• Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and care
• Ability to analyse data and apply insights to improve campaigns and outcomes
• Experienced in budget management, forecasting, and reporting

What we want you to do

Out "Kitchen at the Stud" project is a new initiative funded in partnership with the Royal Borough of Richmond. The Kitchen is a fully refurbished resource at the heart of our Horticultural Service based in grounds of Hampton Court Palace.

The Community Garden is an extensive horticultural resource and the kitchen project is an integrated part of our developing programme of learning and skills development. The Kitchen Lead will work with the garden team in building the kitchen into both a publicly accessible amenity, a training resource, seasonal cafe available on open days and for targeted group dining in addition to exploring the potential for product lines for public sale.
