We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, multi-skilled Project Officer who can deliver habitat creation and management projects, with a focus on ponds and great crested newt.
You will be able to engage and liaise with a variety of landowners and contractors and will have knowledge of pond and terrestrial habitat creation and restoration. Amphibian surveying skills are desirable. Training and expert support will be given to the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be employed by Freshwater Habitats Trust and seconded full-time to the Newt Conservation Partnership.

We source good quality habitat sites and work together with landowners so that ponds and terrestrial features, such as hedgerows, woodland and meadowland, can be securely managed into the future to provide long-term landscape scale refuges for sustainable newt populations.
