Join the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association as a Business Analyst role at a pivotal moment of change, as we transform our Microsoft Dynamics platforms to serve and support the MND community. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key part in transforming systems, redefining processes and enabling the move to modern, cloud-based platforms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst who is confident in process mapping, stakeholder engagement and system transformation to drive real organisational impact. Your expertise as a Business Analyst will bring clarity, challenge established ways of working and help deliver smarter, more connected solutions.

This is an 18-month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities 

• Map and review current processes to identify improvements and optimisation
• Work with stakeholders to redefine workflows aligned to best practice and system capability
• Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements
• Facilitate workshops to challenge thinking, support change and encourage new ways of working
• Translate business needs into clear specifications for technical teams and vendors
• Support system migrations to cloud-based solutions
• Plan and oversee data migration, ensuring integrity and security
• Contribute to system selection, configuration and rollout
• Support user acceptance testing and adoption activities
• Act as a link between teams, IT and external partners

About You 

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong expertise in process mapping business process re-engineering, and requirements gathering.
• Experience supporting system migrations to cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite platforms, including Dynamics, Azure Dev Ops and Power Platform
• Knowledge of charity systems especially CRM, income generation and fundraising platforms.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Experience with data migration and integrations

Our UK Programmes team is focused on supporting refugees in the UK to integrate and rebuild their lives. Employment is considered to be the most critical element of successful refugee integration. Over the last nine years we have built the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) to deliver high quality centred support, technical expertise, valued partnerships and outstanding outcomes. STEP provides a bespoke employment programme that addresses the complex barriers that refugees face when preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.

We are now looking to recruit a Programme Data Analyst to join the team. You will be integral in all programme management, partnership management, and administrative tasks across UK Programmes. You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day management of the CRM database and customer digital journey as well as troubleshooting, data cleaning and preparing external and internal data reports.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintaining data quality on our CRM, spotting missing/incorrect values and working with colleagues and partners to fix source data
• Implementing secure, efficient and compliant data collection systems, ensuring excellent data quality and integrity, cleaning data and eradicating errors
• To be the first point of contact with our CRM provider to troubleshoot and implement developments
• Leading on co-ordinating and working with our delivery partners to ensure they provide accurate and timely data and information for reporting
• To prepare and facilitate all analytical reports for the UK Programme Team
• To produce tailored visualisations and reports (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and SQL) which meet the needs of technical and non-technical stakeholders
• To work with internal and external stakeholders to understand data requirements, validate data and ensure accurate reporting
• To monitor and audit data quality and ensure data quality standards

You should have:

• Previous experience in a data analyst role
• Good SQL or relational database experience
• Knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI for creating compelling visual narratives
• Experience supporting and working alongside delivery partners
• Excellent numerical, data manipulation and analytical skills to process large datasets and produce reliable reports
• Ability to work with CRM/case management systems
• Ability to explain data issues clearly to non technical teams
• Presentation skills to present analysis in a visually appealing way that conveys complex data effectively to all audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey findings and solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to work
• Strong organisation and time management skills to meet project deadlines
• A solid understanding of safeguarding
•  An understanding of, and empathy with, the values and work of World Jewish Relief. Specifically, the circumstances of refugees.

Location: London (currently Old Street, moving to King's Cross in 2027). Minimum 2 days based in the office.

Salary: £70,902 - £82,719 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)

The role

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive and being an active member of the Management Group, the Head of Data and Insight will provide strategic leadership for data, insight and performance across the organisation.

You will develop and deliver the charity's data strategy, improve reporting and system integration, and build a culture where data informs decision-making across fundraising, grant-making, finance and wider organisational activity. Leading a small but influential team, you will work closely with colleagues across the charity to improve data quality, governance and reporting, while exploring opportunities to utilise AI and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the charity's data and insight strategy.

• Lead and develop the Data and Insight function.

• Oversee data governance, quality, security and GDPR compliance.

• Optimise and integrate key systems including ThankQ, Flexigrant, finance systems and Mailchimp.

• Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards and performance measures.

• Lead on data integration, automation and process improvement.

• Provide expert insight and advice to senior leaders and Board committees.

About you

You are an experienced data leader with strong technical expertise and a track record of using data and insight to improve organisational performance, combined with confidence in communicating, engaging and influencing the wider organisation’s team and key stakeholders on the importance of data and insight.

You will have:

• Experience leading data, insight or business intelligence functions.

• A track record of developing data strategies and embedding a data-led culture.

• Strong knowledge of data governance, GDPR and reporting best practice.

• Experience of CRM and business systems integration.

• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight.
