London City Mission (LCM) shares the gospel alongside the local church of London, equipping everyday Christians to lovingly bring a message of hope in Christ to those least likely to hear it.
LCM's events are a great way of getting involved in God's mission in London. The event support assistant supports in the running of events by providing any practical help required on the day. We are looking for volunteers specifically for our annual event Big London Walk. This may include assisting with event-day set-up, welcoming participants, serving refreshments, and generally giving a helping hand wherever needed to ensure all goes according to plan.

Who we are looking for:
If you have an interest in child protection or children’s rights, as well as a background in strategic marketing or communications, we’d love to hear from you. This is a chance to be a trustee for a well-known charity that is making a real difference in children’s lives. You’ll be joining a dedicated and friendly group of trustees with a diverse range of skills and backgrounds. The board recently agreed on an ambitious new strategy that emphasises the enhancement of CFAB’s public profile. We are looking for trustees who can help us deliver on that, through their expertise and enthusiasm.
We welcome applications from those who are experience trustees as well as those who do not have previous experience as a trustee, but who have relevant personal experience and are willing to show a commitment to CFAB and our mission.
Role description
The Digital Marketing Trustee should:
1. provide leadership to the Board in the area of voluntary sector marketing and communications.
2. monitor decisions made at the Board in relation to marketing and communications and ensure that they are implemented.
3. assist in setting the marketing and communications strategy of the organisation and in setting and monitoring performance against targets.
4. actively participate as the key member developing the marketing expertise of the Board.
5. assist in securing additional exposure of CFAB’s work, particularly through facilitating opportunities with press, guiding digital publications (whether social media or online media opportunities) and amplifying CFAB’s voice with relevant audiences.
As with all Trustees, the Marketing Trustee is also responsible for:
• ensuring CFAB complies with its governing document, charity law, company law and any other relevant legislation or regulations
• ensuring CFAB pursues its objects as defined in its Articles of Association, and that it uses its resources exclusively in pursuance of its objects
• ensuring CFAB operates within the parameters laid down by the CFAB Governance Manual
• safeguarding the reputation and values of CFAB
• ensuring the financial stability of CFAB and its effective and efficient administration
• protecting and managing the property of CFAB and ensuring proper investment of funds
• appointing and monitoring the performance of the Chief Executive
• representing CFAB externally
Every Trustee is asked to use their specific skills, knowledge and professional experience to help the Board of Trustees collectively reach sound decisions.
This includes ensuring Trustees:
• scrutinise Board papers and actively contribute to Board discussion
• participate in relevant committees
• respond to any request from the CEO, for advice and support to the CEO or other team members on specific initiatives
• remain conscious of any conflicts of loyalty or interest.
• take decisions solely with the best interests of CFAB in mind.
A. Person specification
The Trustee should bring to CFAB a skill mix appropriate to the governance of CFAB, including:
1. Digital Marketing Strategy
• Ability to develop and advise on digital marketing strategies aligned with CFAB’s mission and goals.
• Understanding of audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, and digital touchpoints.
2. Content Marketing & Storytelling
• Strong storytelling ability to help communicate CFAB’s impact and campaigns.
• Experience in developing or advising on digital content plans (blogs, social media, newsletters, video, etc.).
3. Social Media & Community Engagement
• Knowledge of social media platforms and tools (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Insight into building engaged online communities and amplifying cause-led messaging.
4. Analytics and Performance Monitoring
• Ability to interpret data from Google Analytics, social media metrics, email campaign results, etc.
• Experience setting KPIs and measuring campaign effectiveness.
5. SEO & SEM
• Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) best practices.
• Ability to advise on organic and paid strategies to improve visibility and traffic
6. Fundraising Campaign Support
• Experience supporting or advising on online fundraising campaigns, donor journeys, and engagement.
• Knowledge of platforms such as JustGiving, Charity Checkout, or other donation systems.
7. Website Management
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) to advise on user experience and accessibility.
• Oversight of web content strategy, usability, and optimization.
8. Governance & Strategic Input
• Understanding of trustee responsibilities in the UK (Charity Commission regulations, safeguarding digital assets).
• Ability to provide strategic oversight rather than day-to-day management.
9. Brand and Reputation Management
• Experience advising on brand consistency across digital channels.
• Awareness of crisis communication and reputational risk in online spaces.
10. Collaboration & Communication
• Ability to work effectively with the board, staff, and external partners.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, particularly in a voluntary leadership context.

B. Commitment
CFAB has four regular Board meetings per year of which one is held concurrent with the AGM. There is also a Marketing committee which meets four times per year, which the Trustee should attend wherever possible. Additional Extraordinary Board meetings may be called as necessary. Other trustees will participate in committees including: Finance & HR, Fundraising and Policy & Practice. Overall time commitment is approximately 2 – 3 hours a quarter.

Canopi Foundation is seeking 3 new Trustees to join their Board - Use your expertise to create positive social impact both locally and globally as a Trustee of Canopi Foundation.
What will you be doing?
As a Trustee of Canopi Foundation, you’ll help provide strategic direction, ensure good governance, and support financial oversight. Key responsibilities include:
- Governance & Leadership: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, uphold the charity’s mission and values, contribute to Board decisions, and promote integrity and transparency.
- Strategy & Planning: Shape and monitor strategic plans, assess risks and opportunities, and stay informed on sector trends.

We are seeking Trustees with the following skills / experience to take lead oversight for these areas:
- Social Sector Experience: someone with a solid understanding of the charity and third sector, and strong experience in strategy and leadership. You’ll offer insights that help us respond to sector challenges and increase our impact
- Fundraising and Income Generation: someone with a background in fundraising and income generation to support the team with ideas, insight, and a fresh perspective on our income strategy
- Legal (Charity Law and Regulation): someone with legal expertise - especially in charity law and regulation - to guide the Board in making sound and compliant decisions
As part of our longer-term succession planning, we would welcome interest from candidates who may be open to taking on additional Board leadership responsibilities in the future, eg Chair or Committee roles.

Climate and nature are urgent, motivating issues, so we attract great volunteers. We want to fulfil our potential by making sure we get the best out of our fantastic people and all the future ones we attract by keeping them happy and active. That is the role.
What will you be doing?
EcoCounts is a group of volunteers working together to embody EcoCore’s approach to the climate crisis. EcoCore covers a lot of ground because the climate and biodiversity crisis is so all-encompassing, which means we have a lot of varied and different volunteer tasks available, ranging from carbon footprint data collection, setting up sub-teams of friends or colleagues or doing social media or running workshops.
Your responsibilities would be to create volunteer tasks from our work streams, which would include things like:

creating a role description for each volunteer task to give a good outline of everything required and expected

keeping track of what volunteers are active on

encouraging and inspiring volunteers to deliver on commitments

creating an incentives or rewards framework for volunteers, potentially working with supporting businesses to agree on gift vouchers, tokens etc

Society has got itself into a dangerous situation with the climate crisis and EcoCounts aims to create a way out. We need all sorts of different people, not just climate nerds and sustainability fanatics, although of course that doesn't hurt. The person we need right now is someone who knows what people need to keep them happy and effective as a volunteer for us.
Being a volunteer-based organisation at this stage still, that might make the volunteer chief of staff the most important person we have. Of course we all consider each other equal. Being small and dynamic means EcoCounts can offer the flexibility for you to do an excellent and fulfilling job.

The purpose of your role
Police Now’s governance is extremely important in providing constructive scrutiny, challenge and support, to develop the organisation as well as demonstrate value and quality to the Home Office and the policing sector. The Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, has delegated responsibility from the Board of Trustees to drive, measure and guide Police Now’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion strategy. This strategy includes Police Now staff, candidates, participants and alumni of our programmes, and our influence and voice within the policing sector, with a particular focus on supporting those identifying as women and ethnic minorities. We are seeking an exceptional leader with specific expertise in equity, diversity & inclusion, to sit on our EDI Committee.
The Board of Trustees are responsible for the strategic vision, direction, and overall performance delivery of the charity. The Board is accountable for the governance of the charity, for safeguarding its assets, and the organisation’s general wellbeing. The three Board committees, govern specific areas required to drive performance. The Board determines the committees and has powers to delegate decision-making rights to the committees for certain matters.
The EDI committee meet quarterly at our offices in London.
What you’ll do – the key responsibilities
To ensure that equity, diversity and inclusion is a key priority across all PN activity so that we are supporting policing by attracting, developing and retaining the most diverse and talented groups, enabling us to achieve our mission of transforming communities. You will promote, champion and encourage equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and will monitor the key areas of performance (listed below), using data, experience and innovation:
Police Now Headquarters
•Supporting PNHQ to understand the importance and benefits of equity, diversity and inclusion both in policing and in the workplace.
•Achieving a representative and fairly rewarded staff group at PNHQ, to reflect our communities, particularly with a London-based HQ; supporting traditionally underrepresented groups in the workplace to thrive and reach management and leadership positions.
Police Now Programmes
•Identifying and promoting opportunities for innovation so that there is no trade-off between diversity (prioritising gender and ethnicity but also considering other protected characteristics and intersectionality) and talent on those joining and progressing through our graduate programmes.
•Monitoring progress and impact of women and ethnic minority officers in particular and providing positive action guidance.
Police Now Alumni
•Focusing on supporting a diverse range of participants through positive performance and retention, so that those completing our programmes and staying in policing are representative of the communities they serve.
•Nurturing those that have the potential to progress to Chief Officer and Superintendent ranks.
•Driving our new programmes of work specifically focused on the promotion of diverse officers.
What you’ll need – the person specification
•A recognised expert in equity, diversity & inclusion with prior experience developing and delivering equity, diversity & inclusion strategies that have had tangible outcomes in any sector; deep knowledge of workforce representation and challenges in the UK.
•An interest in the UK policing sector and an understanding of the equity, diversity & inclusion challenges, especially regarding gender and race in policing. Whilst direct exposure to the policing sector can be beneficial, we are particularly interested in those who can bring fresh perspectives from a variety of industries or organisations.
•At least 5+years in a senior role as part of a leadership team or executive team, with significant senior stakeholder exposure.
•Previous non-executive or trustee governance expertise is desirable but is not essential; as a minimum, an expert in EDI.
•Experience in quality assurance regarding strategy development and delivery, as well as risk management and mitigation.
•Familiarity with data and analysis, and an ability to use storytelling with data.
•A proven ability to manage and build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups including senior leaders; access to networks of diversity and inclusion experts is a significant advantage.
•Willingness to join Police Now events very occasionally, in person or online, outside of governance meetings.
