Job Title: Finance Assistant

Key Requirements: What you'll bring with you
All criteria are essential — your application will be assessed on all points detailed below.
- AAT Level 2 qualification is required — please note we are unable to progress applications from candidates who do not currently hold an AAT Level 2 qualification (or higher).
- Accounts Receivable experience is essential.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
- Experience with month-end and year-end procedures.
- Experience of managing multiple deadlines with a track record of delivering under pressure.
- Familiar with Accounts Payable processes.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge (including use of formulas and data analysis).
- Part-qualified accountant or studying towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable but not essential.
Experience, Knowledge and Values:
The below is a reflection of what you'll be responsible for:
- Assisting with cashbook reconciliation.
- Assisting in raising sales invoices — verifying orders and updating the finance system (Accounts IQ).
- Sending out relevant invoices via email.
- Reconciling bank and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Maintaining the Accounts Receivable ledger, covering all aspects including invoicing, receipts and credit control.
- Preparing and maintaining monthly cashflow reports in Excel to a high standard.
- Taking ownership of the monthly spend report in Excel, with a clear understanding of legal entity transactions, inter-company transactions and project spend complexity.
- Managing café cashflow — handling reconciliation and reporting.
- Supporting the year-end audit process.
You will work closely with the Head of Finance and the wider operational teams, contributing to the delivery of robust financial controls and reporting across the organisation.
The Woodland Trust is looking for a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer to act as a technical lead on all cloud infrastructure and systems which involved complex solution design and implementation.
Role:
• This role is key to support and enable the successful completion of technology projects.
• Lead the delivery of technology infrastructure and its associated projects.
• Support with the Trusts technology governance process and takes ownership of the creation and management of policies and procedures.
• Lead cloud solution design for new systems and migrations through implementation phase.
• Assess technical challenge and risks to identify and communicate solutions that resolve and meet organisational requirements.
• Manage complex technology implementation, system upgrades or migrations and operational troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to safeguard the organisations data and operations.

• This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once a month on average.
The Candidate:

• You’ll have experience leading high availability and disaster recovery architecture design and implementation across cloud, storage, server, virtualisation, network, and application architectures.
• You’ll have strong problem-solving skills to tackle complicated infrastructure issues.
• You’ll have experience leading on cloud solutions and architecture.
• You’ll be qualified in Azure Administrator Associate and Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• You’ll have experience evaluating, designing and migrating on-prem servers and applications to the cloud.
• You’ll have good knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM) practices and solutions including Privileged Identify managements, Authentication policies and Network Security policies.
• You’ll have experience in Azure including, Azure governance, Azure IaaS design, Azure PaaS design, Azure Resource Management, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
• You’ll have effective communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to stakeholders in the organisation.

In your role as Application Specialist you will work as part of a wider ICT department which is responsible for technology, data management, data analytics and assist all fundraising support.

As an Application Specialist, your role is a technical one and you will proactively support and maintain core business applications. You will manage the application patching cycle, and coordinating deployment.
You will in addition track and maintain the charities compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus.
Your day to day duties as Application Specialist will include:
- Package application updates and coordinate deployment including via Microsoft Intune
- Work alongside third party vendors to coordinate IT updates, and resolve issues
- Ensure the organisation complies with policies and Cyber Essentials Plus controls and organisational security policies
- Contribute to service improvement, including through automation
- Maintain the applications roadmap, planning upgrades and responding to new business opportunities
- Streamline existing portfolio of applications, consolidating systems to improve efficiency and minimise complexity
The skills you will bring to the position of Application Specialist, which is both a technical delivery and light governance role, will include:
- Experience of patching enterprise applications in a business environment
- Competence with Microsoft Intune including packaging, deployment and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to effectively communicate needs to non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience in understanding cyber security threats and best practices to protect application against cyber attacks
- MD-102 Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent

Mary Hare educates 200 profoundly deaf children at its residential school in Berkshire, and we pride ourselves on our pupils’ achievements at GCSE, A Level as well as B Tech and Vocational Courses. No knowledge of sign language is required, as we follow an auditory/oral philosophy.
The Role:

You will also be responsible to for raising unrestricted funds annually.
The Fundraising Manager will manage the Trusts Fundraiser. The role works across two organisations: The Mary Hare Foundation and Mary Hare. These are two separate registered charities. The Mary Hare Foundation is the fundraising arm and Mary Hare is concerned with service delivery.
The largest fundraising targets are related to capital projects that are outlined by the School.There are some revenue fundraising targets, including the bursary scheme. The role is very hands on with both the management of fundraising and the implementation of fundraising activities, especially trust fundraising.
About you:
We are looking for someone with proven experience securing funding from trusts and foundations, with a strong track record of writing successful applications for significant grants (£200k+). You will be a confident and persuasive writer, able to communicate our impact concisely and compellingly, while building strong and long-lasting funder relationships.
Proactive and tenacious, you excel at identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities. Highly organised, with keen attention to detail, you can manage multiple applications and deadlines effectively.
You will be familiar with organising a wide range of events and understand what makes a successful fundraising event.You will have experience of stewarding high level givers as well as securing donations from individuals and companies.You will also have:
- Excellent written skills to create accurate, powerful, compelling and persuasive copy in a range of formats.
- Ability to match the needs of prospective funders with the needs of the charity.
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels in person, on the phone, by video link or in written format.
