Job description

Do you want to play a key role in an organisation which stands up for children? Join us as the Regional Fundraising & Engagement Manager for the South East & London and lead a team focussed on growing income from communities, groups, regional corporates and individuals. This is a 10 month maternity cover contract.

In our Marketing, Fundraising and Communications department, we fight for children every single day. We inspire millions of people, from individuals to large corporates, to support our quest for change. We go the extra mile - and we don’t rest until the work is done.

As Regional Fundraising & Engagement Manager you will lead, manage, motivate and support a team of Community Fundraising & Engagement Managers (CFMs). You will set and deliver agreed fundraising budgets and regional targets, providing accurate financial commentary on the region, as well as reporting on variances and implementing contingency plans. You will also oversee the regional fundraising and supporter & volunteer pipelines to achieve income, engagement, loyalty and campaigning targets. In addition, you will:

  • Oversee a regional pipeline of partnership and corporate opportunities
  • Provide direction and support to direct reports by holding consistent 121s, annual reviews, role modelling activity, and leading team meetings
  • As part of a Regional Manager team contribute on the development of management and fundraising tools and processes and projects to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

To be successful you will be an excellent communicator and team player with outstanding leadership and coaching skills, alongside a track record of building a high performing team. You will have significant experience of leading an income generating team and driving growth from community audiences, as well as strong financial and data analytics experience. Additionally, you will have:

  • Full clean drivers license
  • Multi-year experience of regional and community fundraising
  • Team leadership and line management experience
  • Willingness to work outside of office in home-based position.

At Save the Children we are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.

If you share our belief in the power of children, join the fight. It takes relentless determination, creativity and a real commitment to real change. Because every child should be able to make their mark on their world, and help to build a better future. We look forward to hearing from you.
