Job Title: Supporter Services & Data Processing Officer

Reporting To: Internal Communications Manager

Salary Range: £32,000 - £37,667

Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Hybrid, London

Working days/hours per week 35 hours per week, 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday.

Purpose of the Job  

Deliver excellent supporter services function to support growth in public fundraising.  Ensure excellence in supporter experience and care. Support the efficient and compliant delivery and financial reconciliation of our fundraising campaigns and activities. Work across the Fundraising, Finance, Info Centre, and Marketing teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage supporter complaints processes, acting as first point of resolution, ensuring complaints are actioned and responded to in line with FareShare complaints policy.
• Support the Supporter Services and Compliance Manager to develop and deliver management information related to supporter complaints.
• Work with the Finance team to deliver processes to support donor refunds and cancellations.
• Support the Supporter Services and Compliance Manager to manage relationships with external fulfilment houses, payment providers (Stripe, GoCardless), and fundraising platforms (Enthuse, Just Giving, CAF, CAF America) on behalf of FareShare to ensure compliance and optimal supporter experience.
• Further duties as and when required by the fundraising operations team and wider directorate.
• Manage and lead supporter complaints processes, acting as first point of resolution, ensuring complaints are actioned and responded to in line with FareShare complaints policy.
• Deliver an outstanding level of customer service, keeping within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Coordinate and implement training on the use of the 8x8 telephony system for Fundraising and Marketing teams.
• Record all interactions accurately and clearly in Salesforce within agreed SLAs.

Person Specification 

•  Experience of working in a fundraising supporter or customer services environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Excellent phone manner, including ability to cope with challenging conversations.
• Understanding of financial reconciliation processes and the role of a CRM in effectively managing income processing
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Organised and methodical approach to work.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of the fundraising regulatory environment, including the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice, HRMC Gift Aid regulations, GDPR and PECR.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and/or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Ability work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good numeracy skills with excellent analytical skills to interrogate data.

Working alongside the Data Insight Specialist, multiple Department Heads and team members across fundraising, you will be responsible for supporting the improvement of existing reporting, delivering insight projects and assisting in the implementation of machine learning in our fundraising function. You will be joining a highly successful and fast paced fundraising team who raised over £100 million in 2025. We have an ambitious fundraising strategy and the analysis driven by the insight team will play a significant part in the development of MSF UK’s strategic fundraising goals. It is therefore vital that you have a keen eye for detail with the ability to highlight trends and patterns in data and present those findings to key stakeholders. Salary is offered in line with our pay framework and typically starts at the entry point of the band. Salary increases are considered annually and are subject to our appraisal and performance review process.

Job Purpose:

The primary role of the Data Insight Officer is to support with the analysis and insight required to aid in the investment in and development of MSF UK’s Fundraising strategy. 

Reporting to the Data Insight Specialist, the Data Insight Officer is responsible for reporting and performance analysis, producing KPIs, maintaining Power BI dashboards, training on the use of Power BI and supporting income modelling.

Knowledge Skills & Experience:

• Considerable experience and understanding of data analytics and reporting, preferably within a Data Insight role. 
• Considerable experience of using Power BI and creating dashboards to visualise data. 
• Experience of gathering data from various sources such as Microsoft Dynamics, or a Data Warehouse to produce reports. A suitable candidate will have a background in SQL. 
• Experience of using Python libraries such as Pandas, MatPlotLib, Ski-kit Learn or equivalent and using Python for data cleansing. 
• Experience of identifying patterns and interpreting trends in data and presenting results to inform Fundraising strategy. 
• An excellent level of numeracy combined with accuracy and attention to detail in the area of data analysis. 
• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an advanced level including use of Power Query, formulas and other data analysis features. 
• An interest in Machine Learning and predictive analytics. 
• An agile approach to work and understanding of agile methodology is desirable. 
• Knowledge of data protection and GDPR processes. 
• A systematic and organised approach with a proven ability to follow things through and meet regular deadlines.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role at the centre of a growing, community-led health initiative. The Project Support Officer (Operations & Data) will play a key part in coordinating day-to-day operations, monitoring performance, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the AT Beacon Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme Operations & Delivery: Coordinate Beacon Hub activities and manage operational logistics and support the delivery of key initiatives, such as the Fruit & Vegetable Prescription Programme.
