Job Title: Community Fundraising Assistant

Reporting To: Running & Challenge Manager

Salary: £26,066 - £30,523

Hours: 37.5 hours per week*

Location: Alder Hey Children’s Charity, based within Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool. Due to the nature and requirements of the role, the post holder will need to work onsite with occasional flexible working dependant on team capacity.

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects that are designed to enhance and improve the lives of our amazing young patients. This includes the funding of specialist medical equipment to ensure our brilliant surgeons and clinical staff have the most up to date and cutting edge technology available and funding hi-tech distraction equipment designed and proven to reduce pain and anxiety in our patients. We also fund a range of programmes and special projects such as our ward musicians, our on-site magician and the play specialists we have on every ward.

Job Purpose:

This role calls for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised person who shares our values. The role will play a vital part in supporting the day-to-day activity of the Community Fundraising Team in undertaking a wide variety of fundraising activities.

Main Duties and Tasks:

Administration

• Support the Community Fundraising Team with the administration of bespoke, third party and donor led events. Including (but not limited to) sending packs and resources out, communication of event information and appropriate thanking.
• Manage the Community Fundraising email inbox.
• Diarise Community Fundraising team meetings, take appropriate minutes and distribute actions.
• Manage the Community Fundraising shared drive and filing system.
• Work with the Community Fundraiser to identify potential Young Ambassadors and create Ambassador Packs.
• Manage the stock control of Community Event Resources.
• Audit and monitor the Charity collection boxes.
• Manage community contacts within the Charity CRM (Salesforce) ensuring they have up to date information.

Stewardship

• Be the first point of contact for on-line giving donors and monitor the online giving platforms including JustGiving and ensure that each donor has relevant communications.
• Manage the donor led event diary, providing appropriate resources where required.

Reporting

• Produce regular financial and fundraising reports on various Community Fundraising Income streams using the Charity CRM (Salesforce).
• Monitor Community Fundraising income and check it’s appropriately coded on Salesforce.

Communication

• Ensure that relevant members of the Community Fundraising Team are aware of on-line fundraising activity.
• Work alongside the Operations and Finance Teams to monitor income.

Other Duties

• Attendance at community fundraising events.
• Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
• Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
• Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s work, priorities and future plans and act as a spokesperson for the Charity when required, including representing at external events as appropriate.
• Support the Operations Team when in the office by answering phones and serving on the front desk when the office is busy.
• Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Role Overview

The Donor Relations Officer will be responsible for crafting compelling, donor-centred communications that strengthen long-term relationships with partners and supporters, deepen engagement and inspire giving. One of the main areas of responsibility will be to produce proposals and reports for stakeholders, especially strategic partners and donors. The postholder will work closely with the other members of the Marketing and Communications team, as well as collaborating with other departments within the college.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience of producing copy for fundraising and donor relations purposes, and will be a skilled storyteller who can translate the strategic objectives of the college into resonant narratives, understands donor motivations, and writes with clarity, empathy, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Stewardship Writing

• Develop persuasive and high-quality copy for multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, email, website, social media etc.)
• Write impact reports and stewardship letters that convey gratitude and demonstrate impact.
• Create case statements, proposals, and presentations for major donor and foundation audiences.
• Oversee the ongoing use of Donorfy CRM to ensure it functions in a way that optimises ANCC's efficiency and makes full use of its functionality; carry out system integrations as needed.

Storytelling & Content Development

• Interview students, alumni, partners, staff and donors to develop authentic, mission-driven stories.
• Adapt organizational content for various donor segments, ensuring a consistent voice and message.
• Collaborate within the Marketing & Communications team to pair copy with strong visuals, and input to other priority projects as required.

Editing & Quality Control

• Proofread and edit donor communications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the college ethos and brand guidelines.
• Maintain a consistent, donor-focused tone across all written materials.

Collaboration & Strategy

• Work closely with the members of the Marketing & Communications team to align donor messaging with campaign goals.
• Collaborate with other teams across the college including the Academic, Training and Finance Teams.
• Contribute to the development of content calendars and communication strategies.
• Track and analyse response rates and engagement to inform future copy.

· Fully participate in All Nations community activities when possible.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ professional writing experience, preferably in donor relations and fundraising communications.
• Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and engaging copy and marketing materials for diverse audiences.
• Strong interviewing, research, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent editing and proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with donor stewardship best practices and fundraising language.
• Experience of producing and tracking fundraising campaigns, tracking impact, reporting and lesson learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and engage cross-culturally.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and wider organisational departments.
• Experience with CRM or donor database systems.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of direct response fundraising principles.
• Basic understanding of SEO and digital content best practices, and awareness of upcoming trends and changes in the sector, including best use of AI.

Role Overview

The Supporter Care Team are looking to hire two Supporter Care Assistant posts who’ll provide excellent customer care; engaging, involving and inspiring all supporters of Crohn’s and Colitis UK through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels. About You

Purpose

The Fundraising Development Officer supports the delivery of our individual giving programme, helping to nurture current supporters and attract new ones.

You will be responsible for building our regular giving support, implementing supporter journeys and co-ordinating our annual appeals. You will also work closely with the Head of Fundraising in developing our major donor plans, and support with other individual giving channels, including in-memory giving and legacy giving.

We are looking for someone who has great communication and relationship management skills, and a collaborative approach. You will be a self-motivated, proactive and analytical individual with the ability to build, manage and develop relationships across teams.

While a background in fundraising is desirable, it is not essential. If you bring the right skills and are willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Manage our ‘Friends of Charlie Waller’ regular giving scheme, building the supporter numbers and engagement with the charity.
• Deliver exceptional supporter care to our regular supporters, recognising opportunities for deeper engagement and potential for further support.
• Implement the supporter journeys for regular and one-off donors, creating communications to engage them with the cause and understand the impact.
• Co-ordinate and deliver our appeals cycle, working closely with colleagues across the charity to collate appeal content, including case studies, statistics and images.
• Support the delivery and development of our major donor plans, identifying prospects within our supporter base and assisting with stewardship plans.
• Support the delivery and development of our plans for building in-memory and legacy giving, including the administering of gifts, stewardship of supporters and contributing to cultivation events.
• Provide regular updates on progress against agreed objectives and contribute to wider departmental fundraising reports as required.
• Attend CWT events as appropriate to establish new contacts, develop existing relationships, and raise the profile of CWT with potential supporters.
• Ensure that systems and processes are effective, and that our database is being updated and utilised as the central source of information.
• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures. 
• Routine call handling as part of the wider office administrative team.
• Other duties as may be reasonably prescribed by the trust, appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure applicants to jobs have a positive application and onboarding experience.
• Proactively source candidates using candidate databases, job board databases and professional networks.
• Liaise with the care homes and housing schemes on their recruitment needs.

The Diocese of Canterbury is seeking an Income Entry Assistant to join our Finance & Giving Team and play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records that support our parishes, clergy and the Social Justice Network, our key charitable subsidiary.

As our Income Entry Assistant, you will be responsible for accurately processing and allocating all income transactions, ensuring our financial records are complete, compliant and audit-ready. You’ll post daily bank receipts, manage fee collection from parishes, produce monthly reports and support credit control and debtor reconciliation.

We’re seeking a detail-oriented finance professional with experience in a finance department and a solid understanding of debits, credits and basic accounting principles. OMF International (UK) is seeking a detail-focused Payroll Officer to play a vital role in processing payroll and pensions for our UK-based staff, members, and retirees. Your work will support the smooth running of financial processes that enable us to share the good news of Jesus Christ with East Asia’s peoples.

You will bring experience in payroll systems (preferably Sage), a high level of accuracy, and a heart for global mission. Working closely with the Finance team, this role includes processing donations, reconciling credit cards, and supporting our Creation Care reporting.

Occupational Requirement

This role is subject to an Occupational Requirement in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
